I just watched Friday's show, and I loved it! I could have done without Cafe though. They totally got out-shined by Mrs. Carlisle. Rafe is an awful actor and needs to leave when Lucas gets back. Anyways, the Sami and Will scenes were really good. I was not annoyed by Sami at all which was a shocker. When she asked Will if he was going to tell on her, I was like that is so old Sami. Will was just awesome. I loved his "do you even know whats happening to me?" and his "I'm finally free." comment. Great script today. Oh and I actually for once enjoyed the Mayoral story. At the end of the show I was actually wanting more. That was a first in a very long time.

With no day ahead previews, can we please get the long opening back?
Massey and Sweeney brought it in their scenes today. Kudos to both actors. I loved all of the history that was brought up. At first, I didn't take Will's line about Sami ruining the family he's always wanted with Rafe. There was a time when Sami and Lucas were married and were a family with Will. However, thinking back, Will was hardly around during Sami and Lucas' marriage. He was away at summer camp and then they sent him to Switzerland to live with Austin and Carrie. So what Will said is true. The only real happy family life he's ever had was with Rafe as Sami's husband. I know many Lucas fans don't like this, but it's fact. Lucas hasn't been there for his kids for years. If anything, Will should be somewhat resentful towards Lucas when he comes back. At least he should be.
I wonder if we're going to get to see Will go to the party with Karim and Dustin.
Rafe and Carrie's kiss was a little too much for me. I feel like it should've been a lot more innocent. It really did look like they were ready to take each other right there on Carrie's desk at any moment. Great cliffhanger with Sami arriving in time to catch them in the lock. Friday cliffhangers return!
Anyone else think the woman moderating the debates sounded a lot like Kristian Alfonso? I kept expecting to see Hope every time I heard her voice. Weird. I can't see Will being resentful of Lucas, pretty much the reason he's not in town can be drawn back to what he did for him and why he went to prison. Lucas life started spiraling out of control when he married Sami and Ej made it impossible for them to be happy, then Will shoots Ej and it all went to hell in a handbasket.
Will WOULD have had a happy family with his parents and the twins IF EJ hadn't blackmailed Sami into marrying him and if Will hadn't shot EJ. Two things that Lucas had no control over, if he needs to basically blame anyone for not having a happy family he could realistically point the finger back to himself.

Really he should point that finger at EJ ;) although Sami is a good second.

Some things had me absorbed other stuff not so much.
I love Nicole being savvy to Ej and how she confronts him head on. What a great dramatic moment when she grabbed his arm demanding he swear the truth to her. . . . and he lies. Wow! This is a gripping power couple and how smart of the writers to give them this depth of material. I think this couple play off each other the best of any on the show.
Finally the big Sami/Will confrontation. I'm less than thrilled over when in the story this big moment takes place but, I thought the dialogue was tight. For such an important event I was surprised at how AS seemed one note in her delivery. I expected more variation in her facial expressions at least. Will had me as the totally stressed out teen unleashing all this pent up frustration whereas Sami didn't seem aghast at what her son had witnessed. I didn't get the humiliation a mother would feel from her. I didn't get her desperation at having him understand her reasoning for the act. I did like her shock over him calling her a whore. Those harsh words actually seemed to sink in for her. I wish they had ended the episode with her alone going through the emotional shock of now knowing her secret is out.
It seems to me the writers, directors and producers should have put as much effort into presenting Will and Sami's confrontation as they did putting together the nasty notsodeadchildsex. For all their spouting about the cleverness of coming full circle Mar/Dar seem to be all flash and little substance.
Cafe was annoying. Carrie saying she feels alone? WTH writers? Rafe saying he doesn't know what Sami's thinking? Again more stupid blah, blah, blah that has not an ounce of truth to it from what we've seen. The kiss awkward and not fitting the situation unless you count the situation being the need for a kiss long enough for Sami to walk in on it. Again more contrived moments that don't fit in order to push the plot - pretty much the run of the mill for Cafe.
Days could definitely benefit from more Friday cliffhangers, but make sure the Monday show delivers!

He probably won't be resentful, but I agree that he should be. It would really help to explain and cement the reason why Will has become so attached to Substitute Lucas, er Rafe and has become his biggest cheerleader, instead of pining for his parents to get back together or trying to sabotage the safe union. I'd hope Will wouldn't feel any responsibility for the demise of his parents marriage. They've had three years to rekindle things. At this point, Will's probably glad they didn't, since Sami was finally able to create the stable family unit elsewhere.
I'm glad Nicole is finally wising up to EJ. I wish she'd be less crushed over the fact that he's a liar and more vengeful and creative when she tries to get the truth out of him though.

Lucas is a grown man. He doesn't need to "run away" from his problems to Hong Kong, even thought it really does fit with who the character is and always has been. "Mama's Little Boy." Lucas should be in town raising his children. He has a little girl that's already going to be fucked up given all of the attention that's given to her brother and sister. She gets none. The attention she should get from her father, she doesn't. And then people get mad when Rafe steps in as Allie's father. He has to be there for her because Lucas sure isn't, living his great life in Hong Kong. There needs to be some effect from Lucas being away all of the time. I think it's a cop out for him to come home and his children act like he just went away on a weekend business trip. He's been gone for 2 years! I can't even imagine how long that is in DAYS/SORAS time.

I don't mind it not being an issue with Will (though Will made it sound like it was a few months ago), but I do think something should be addressed with Allie. She has spent a decent amount of time offscreen with him, but I'd like them to play up her confusion and lack of attention, and maybe his struggles with her and guilt.

Just have to say I disagree with King's belief that no one would fall for Rafe and leave their marriage for him. And what would it matter if he's misogynist? Studies show that typically, women are more attracted to jerks and just these types before they are sexually attracted to whimpy men who are soft and touchy feely. Because they act like MEN! lol. Any woman in real life would spread her legs for Galen if given the chance and she was married to a less attractive guy. (Unless she's really, really religious or Amish or something.) It's not in question, I think, that Carrie wants Rafe now.
Rafe > Austin.
HOwever, it does make Carrie a bitch for wanting him and for acting on it.

I saw lots of Sami tears. Are you watching in HD, cause they were there.
I do agree with Lysie though about Sami's self awareness and that she should have had some.
Part of me thinks that Sami kept denying the truth not because she was straight up lying, but that she was mentally hoping that it never really happened. That she could just wish it away.
She had tears at the beginning but they never really fall down her face. They're always right at her eyes.
No, there is definitely one that rolls down her face and she wipes it away. I swear it. I was watching CLOSELY.
I saw her wipe her face, but I didn't see any tears where she was wiping. But still...one? He called her a whore. I watched on youtube and thought I could definitely see tears - more as the scene went on.. Great scenes for sure. I thought both Ali and Chandler did really good.
I'm using the same post to respond to the Ali outfit comments... I thought it was really nice. Didn't care for the necklace, but she was wearing tights with a long shirt and a sweater on top. I thought it was one of the better ones... The sweater had a pattern on it, it wasn't formfitting, and I thought it made her look thin.

Chandler Massey blew me away with his performance. Heck even Allison did a great job in those scenes. I'm soo happy that she knows that he knows, lol. Now Will needs to tell Nicole, because EJ sure as hell isn't going to.

I was distracted the entire time by that necklace.

I was distracted the entire time by that necklace. It looked so cheap. Like it was made of shoelaces or something.

I don't know. I think Will has a very legitimate reason to be thoroughly pissed at his mom. Fritosguy...you say it is JUST SEX and get over it. I'm sorry, but he walked in on his mom having sex with someone she supposedly hated WHILE her son was missing. I think he is traumatized just for seeing his mom having sex in the first place, let alone with EJ. I know that would just be all kinds of gross to begin with. But I can see why he is so pissed and I don't blame him one iota for his behavior. This is Sami we are talking about. She said it herself. He has forgiven her for ALL KINDS of things in the past. I think he's just had enough. Yeah, he tried to shoot EJ...but he was a very young teen at the time and not mature enough to really understand his actions I'm guessing. It was wrong, yes. But that doesn't mean that he shouldn't be all kinds of pissed for what Sami did. Maybe I'm just biased. I never could really stand Sami and I love Will so....

Plus, there is the element of her screwing someone she supposedly hated. I'm starting to get it more now. I think that, since I can see the chemistry between JS and AS, it's hard to sometimes remember tah ttheir characters hate each other.

He needs to get some perspective.

That's why I keep saying that I don't think it's really this particular incident. It was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I mean...he was willing to cover for her when she shot EJ, and now she's screwing him while she thinks her son is dead? I think he did gain some perspective, and it wasn't to Sami's advantage.

OHMYGOSH WHAT AN EPISODE!
Massey's acting was fucking amazing, but although I absoloutely HATE Sami..I did feel bad for her, Will was being pretty vulgar with her.. I think anyone with a heart could sympathize for Sami in that moment, but she definitely deserves it..we all know that. and I can't wait to watch the rest of the fallout.
I'm rather pissed that Abe won the election, i'v been rooting for EJ and Nicole since day one and now because Abe stole some questions, he wins? What ever happened to the big bad DiMera's, I thought they always get what the want?
Rafe and Carrie 'saved' a marriage and then five minutes later sabotaged their own, lmfao.
It seems like Will is going to start interacting with the gays in Salem, GOOD! I want some yummy gay love scenes on my screen. sooner the better
