LOL! Yeah, that was, um, all kinds of lame. And it wouldn't pique my interest in any of the shows, and I actually watch 30 Rock plus a couple of the other shows featured.

I know... someone shared a post in the tweets thread that Drake said to look for them on the third riser or something.

I didn't see the DHs the first go around, so I had to replay it, still didn't see them, finally on the 3rd go - by way of clicking frame by frame, I finally saw them. Yeah, that was a waste of a airfare.

I get what you guys are saying about being happy that we got even that little token daytime nod, but I guess I just don't understand why they even bothered if most people won't even notice or understand?

If people take time to look around the bleachers, they'll notice. If they don't and just focus on Tina, they won't. The way this is being propagated around the internet, I'm guessing there will be a lot of "spot the celeb" going on.

I don't get the bitching either. I thought it was a great ad for NBC, my love of Tina Fey/30 Rock aside.

What more do people realistically expect they would show? Surely not a solo Days promo. It's the biggest advertising day of the year, they'd make more money from a Geiko ad than they ever would in the long run of showcasing Days in its current state. And seeing as the show is being still being panned by fans and critics - what could they even show in a promo that would lure people in?
Drew, I think that, given that things are very different with the TV landscape than in the '80s, NBC could have done more since there are VASTLY fewer scripted shows than there used to be. Look at all that time that 30 Rock and The Office hogged in this promo. I'm not trying to be ungrateful for NBC's inclusion of Days in the promo, but I am trying to point out the disparity since the Thursday night block is low rated and pretty much almost everything on NBC these days is low rated, so it makes since that a rising tide lifts all ships. Since there are so few scripted shows now, let's showcase each. The fact that Days is the net's last soap gave even more reason to give more time since there would be no worries about including others from the scripted daytime block.

I'm glad they didn't do it with Days, because I think we would have ended up with some crap like that Turbo Tax commercial. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but I'm glad to see them acknowledge Days at all. It does seem like a lot of trouble to fly them out there for that, but I'm glad they were flown out and not poorly photoshopped in.

I thought the best NBC commerical was for "The Voice". Betty White, once again, made that commerical. This one? It was OK, nothing to write home about though.

I never even managed to see this one play out on air. The commercials in general were so bad I guess I just started zoning them out.

Love how Sweeney was post edited into the overall shot. Much to busy to fly to NYC w the DHs for their split second, third row appearance.

Oh I doubt she said no... probably what happened is that NBC decided that TBL was too important to reschedule vs. Days. Drake and Deidre worked the day before and the day after they went to NYC, so Days probably moved around their scenes because of this.

At least DAYS was included, even if it was just the last two seconds. Somewhat promising.

About what I expected. As others noted, the fact they were involved at all is a triumph in and of itself given the circumstances.

LMAO to AS being photoshopped in for that brief second. Also, Deidre really got into the singing in the promo. She looked like she had a blast!
