Okay Christina. I can say it wasn't the best song for Tony, but don't think it deserve the whole slam. Think someone is a bit jealous that Justin Timberlake isn't tweeting cheers for one of her singers. ;) |

I agree with everything she said and I thought his performance sucked ass. However, DAMN, she was hardcore to the point of being over-the-top. And cowardly, too, because she couldn't even look him in the face to say it. She's may guarantee his slot, though, with her comments. Also, I don't think anyone should do Adele at this point (oh- that contestant who dressed as her was smart), especially "Rolling in the Deep." I think it can't sound anything but karaoke right now, unless you really tweak the hell out of it, maybe. Edited by px780, Apr 9 2012, 10:37 PM.

I agreed that it wasn't the best performance for him. It was just the way she said it that it just came off as bitter. I am sure too she guaranteed his spot. My two friends were fans of his before this and I know they voting like crazy with other fans of his. Agree too about the Adele stuff. I think maybe because she is so current and that so many people online have covered her songs one way or another. Maybe if we were talking five years in the future when the songs are as familiar it might not seem as karaoke. |

Juliet. I hate that kind of voice so much...and I thought she was kind of affected...before that performance. Holy crap, that was awesome. Mathai is another one of these odd-voiced girls. How many are there on this show (Charlotte, Lindsay, Erin, her, there was another...with dreadlocks). It's like what Idol was looking for during the unfortunate Kara years. |

Boy, Christina was on a roll tonight, wasn't she?! Jeez! Only stand-outs for me tonight were Tony Lucca and Juliet. As much as I like the other Tony, something about him freaks me out. Not sure if it's the bald head or what. Tony Lucca was AMAZING tonight, and I thought Christina was unnecessarily harsh toward him. Didn't she basically say that he shouldn't win because he has celebrities backing him up? And he's "one-dimensional"? I don't think that at all! As much as I love Pip, and I love his voice, tonight's song choice was horrible for him. Carla.... REALLY? I'm already pissed that Orlando went home and she went through. But that horrible performance tonight was like salt on a wound. Juliet was awesome, although I felt like she could've dialed the energy back just a smidge. And James (another fave of mine) was awesome... but he payed way too much attention to the girls in the crowd. And his voice still sounds shaky at times (probably because of the nerves). Really wish he would ditch the letterman jacket, though. And Jamar was awesome, too. Everyone else sounded like crap. |

James is the little boy, right? Or he looks like one? He is totally the 5th member of a boy band. The Cute One. He needs to own that and hook up with 4 other guys quickly- we need an American counterpart to One Direction. I was glad he didn't play the song like there's a lyrical double entendre. |

James is one of my least favorites. He needs to lose the headband, he looks stupid. I don't care for his voice either. Christina was a bitch to Tony. It might not have been his best, but it was still good. She didn't need to be so harsh! I like the bald Tony too, but it wasn't his best performance. Juliet was good! |

I think they need to talk to Cheesa about her growling. It's really annoying, imho. Christina is kind of a casual bitch. "That's your name, right?" Damn, girl. Pay attention. Edited by px780, Apr 11 2012, 12:00 AM.

^She's definitely one of my favorites. This is a weird season. I think there is some really strong talent, I've liked quite a few, but I've not care for about 60% of the song choices. I think Christina got a bad rap with her critiques. I know Tony Vincent came out said that she was rude and harsh, but I thought her critiques seemed fair and were honest to what she thought. Not sure if it's just me, or the facial hair but Tony Lucca looks like he's aged about 5 years since the battle rounds. He's a good singer but I thought he was boring this last go around... Bummed about Kim Y. Adele was an easy, cliche choice. I kind of had a feeling at that moment that she wouldn't make it. Like Mathai, but again I was bored. Pip's song choice was interesting and I was excited for it, but it did fall flat. Glad he's still around though. Not a fan of Cheesa. Don't get it. Still not sure why she made it through instead of Angie. I've always liked Tony Vincent, but the songs him/CeeLo picked didn't do him any favors. Still would have rather had him make it instead of Cheesy though. Soooooo glad Erin M. went home. Ugh, what a mess. Jamar was great. Don't think I'd ever buy a James M. CD, but I thought the Norah Jones song was perfect. Would have never picked that song for him but I'm glad they did. He was a bit off in places, but he still sold it. I am upset that Tony Vincent is gone. I thought Chessa perform well to stay, but still prefer Angie. I will miss Kim Y. Christina on my shit list for getting rid of Jesse. I will miss Jordis. Don't like the judges elimination at all. Now Adam and Ceelo better not disappoint me now. I have to disagree, Christina was incredibly harsh on Tony Lucca and she got alot of flack for it. I guess she don't like JT is supporting TL. Edited by Dakota, Apr 16 2012, 09:10 PM.

I finally get RaeLynn. Her recordings have been decent, and she performed the hell out of the song tonight. Can't sing that well live imho, but in a couple of years she'll probably be fune. IN the meantime she can build herself as this young spitfire. Like a Gretchen Wilson Jr. kind of deal. An anti-Taylor Swift. It's kind of brilliant, I can see her selling a crapload of albums. I usually like Maroon 5 singles but that was weird. It sounds like another song...something about falling to pieces. Also, do the kids even know what a pay phone is? Do they know what change is, and how the two concepts relate? An Adele song? Let's see how this goes, 'cause I like this girl. At least it's not as big a hit. I love Adele (as pretty much everyone does right now), but is she really that untouchable as a singer? I didn't really realize that until these reality show covers. Where is the urgency and the pain? If you can't do that run at the end, at least make it a punch in the gut. They should've slowed it way down or something. Jesse got beaten by the other dude who sang Against All Odds, imho, and I didn't think he sang that well. But it was fucked up to send him home after a performance about his daughter. I usually like the brutality of reality shows (to an extent) but this seemed like overkill. I wish they didn't do the instant elimination. Edited by px780, Apr 17 2012, 12:01 AM.

Maybe I am an asshole, but adding in your daughter or kids for a reality show singing competition is just too much for me, just trying way too hard. For that alone I would have thought about eliminating him. Jesse has a wonderful voice and probably shouldn't have been voted off, especially with awkward girl still on christina's team. RaeLynn is gonna be a big country star! I dont even like country music all that much, but she has been awesome the last 2 performances. Jordis seems like a nice person, but I wasn't feeling her music. Adam Levine is a hot piece of ass, but I thought his performance was worse than some of the contestants. At some points I couldn't even hear him because the music was so damn loud. Christina rocked that stage and I never really liked her until I started watching this season. Looking forward to seeing what the other 2 teams bring next week. |

I totally disagree about Raelynn. I love country music, but I think she sucks! I haven't listened to her studio recordings, but I haven't wanted to. I think she is awful live. |

Agreed. During her performance with Blake I wanted to scream. I hate her twang. He sounds so forced. For the most part I thought everyone else did ok. Chris was the only other one who I thought sounded off. Didn't care for him during the Christina performance either. Shocked at who got eliminated. Not sure what Blake and Christina were smoking. I agree, she isn't all that, she will never measure up to great country singers like Dolly, Carrie Underwood, Faith Evans, Martina McBride, Reba, Jennifer Nettle, Shania Twain, and Hillary from Lady Antebellum. Edited by Dakota, Apr 17 2012, 09:45 PM.

I don't think Raelynn will ever be known as a great singer but i think she could sell well. So color me shocked by tonight's results. That was a pleasant surprise. I feel like ashley was getting too much like Christina. Hopefully she sorts herself out and gets her own style. |

I was really surprised that Blake got rid of Raelynn. Both he and Adam were critical of her tonight, and it was the first time that I actually didn't mind her. I thought it was her best performance! I am glad that she is gone though. |
