HORRIBLE HORRIBLE acting by CC today. She tried her very hardest to make herself cry, and she failed MISERABLY. It was so bad that it almost had me break down into tears.

That's funny. I thought she was a lot better today than she was yesterday. She's usually fine in crying scenes. But my issues with her yesterday had nothing to do with crying anyway.

WTH Marlena? Way to be a good moral compass basically telling Carrie to just think a little about things before she acts on them.

Much better dialogue today with SAFE. I liked the inner conflict finally being shown and given the attention it was due.

Interesting that they showed the contrast between Rafe wanting to work on his marriage and discuss the root of their problems vs Carrie who seemed disinterested in putting in any effort and more focused on her desire for Rafe.

Please tell me the Segway's were for product placement purposes? I really have to wonder if MarDar are jotting all this down believing they are creating some charming little scene with no clue whatsoever how absurd it's going to come across. (The whole square emptied out on Brady's order? I don't think so.) And whose idea is it to add the gawd awful music to these scenes?!!! Horrible! It doesn't enhance, it detracts. The outdated sounding music made the whole thing that much more hokey. STOP IT music editors!

I think Hope's initial reaction was much too serious. I would think as the facts come out and she finds herself more entangled in this web she can then look like her whole world is crashing down. The findings are disturbing and upsetting for the memories they stir but this initial reaction of dread seemed overplayed to me.

Much improvement over yesterdays let down . . . and :P to a black glove sighting.

This episode is harder to watch than yesterdays. I mean, yes, okay I'll give credit for the forward movement, but it's like the acting and writing is all half-assed.. It's like the show knows they have to follow through with their statement of revealing something every episode (or whatever the hell they said), so they are rushing through everything. I don't want them to drag everything out, but going too fast doesn't work either.

Random comments:

PM is really bad at 'acting' drunk. I'm really now starting to agree with those who think that AP would have been better in this role.
Who dressed Abby? Over the knee boots? Really? And did she steal Sami's nailpolish?
I'm not feeling Carrie being upset. CC needs to step it up several notches.
I'm not feeling anything but  from Rafe, as usual.
Sami seems to be the only one showing any emotion, but it's so all over the place I can't stay focused. That and I really think safe are boring and this 'confrontation' is as bland as they are so maybe I'm just biased.
Of course Marlena thinks Carrie only made a little oopsie! :eyeroll: Life's just all sunshine and roses isn't it? You'd think she'd react a little more shocked. Her reaction was the same as if someone told her the grocery was out of her favorite yogurt or something.
Bradison sucks. Can they just drive their segways off a cliff?
Sami's necklace is still distracting.
Yea okay sorry, I thought that Abby/Austin kiss was hot. And it was a way more realistic scenario than yesterdays cafe kiss. - There see, I found something positive from this epi.

Not since Dean Martin has there been a worse acting drunk. Thank you Pat.
I thought today's show was definitely enjoyable to watch though**. And for once, the godawful cheesy music matched up perfectly with the godawful cheesy date scene.

(EDIT: **I've decided to lower my expectations.)

ABIGAIL AND AUSTIN <3 ! I WANT MORE. MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE !!!!!! They actually are kind of hot together, its starting to grow on me to be honest..I can enjoy this.

Stop your crying Sami, selfish little whore. Tell Rafe the truth about your fuck with E.J !

The Brady and Madison scene in HTS was fucking cheese. Such pointless scenes, they didn't even need to be included in this episode.. I would of loved to see Madison drive her scooter into one of those trees.. too bad :(

Loved the Marlena and Carrie scene. Carrie is so fucking cute when she cries, i just wanna pinch her cheeks lmfao. I'm glad Marlena is there for Carrie and isn't judging her. Why do I feel more sympathy towards Carrie then I do for Sami? Could it just be that CC is a better actress than AS? I think so.

I don't think I have ever seen worst acting from KA then I did in these past couple episodes..what the fuck is going on with her? She's usually fabulous in dramatic scenes like these. It could just be that the actors are finding it hard to buy into this bullshit lmfao. Anyways I'm excited for Marlena to find out about the marriage..John doesn't seem to be too worried.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
Brandon. EJ. Franco.
Sami even told Rafe yesterday that this wasn't the first time Carrie did this, and the look on Carries face said it all. I believe that Carrie left her wedding bed with Lucas to have sex with Austin, if you want to find out more read the history on Carrie!
I don't think Sami said this wasn't the first time Carrie went after her man. She said this wasn't the first time Carrie cheated on her husband, which it wasn't, but Sami wasn't the wronged party when Carrie on Austin the first time. It had nothing to do with her at all. I only wish Carrie had been allowed to call Sami out on being delusional, because Sami's version of history with her being the wronged party, constantly losing out to her jealous sister is not how it happened at all.
In Sami's world she is always the wronged party... even when the situation has nothing to do with her!

Marlena's conversation with Carrie was an epic fail. Not only did she tell Carrie she did nothing wrong by kissing Rafe, she also told her it was ok to have those feelings about Rafe, just to think before she acted on them. Carrie is married and so is Rafe, it wasn't ok for her to kiss him, and it isn't ok for Carrie to have feelings for Rafe.

Can't stand the John/Hope story. I hated it before and not looking forward to it again.

Loved the Safe scenes. Thought they were well done. Loved how Rafe is trying to get to the bottom of their problems, and Sami is acting like he is just trying to blame her-- typical Sami-- it can't be my fault for any of this. Sami is so guilty over the dirtycouchsex she had to hide behind that plant when Rafe was leaving. Rafe knows what went wrong started the day Johnny disappeared, wanted him to put two and two together with her not being able to be found.

The Abby and Austin scenes turn my stomach. UGH.

Bradison scenes were terrible. The sooner they get rid of that pairing the better.

So, what's up with HTS? There are trees and everything inside it and it's fine to zoom through it on segways but there's also an indoor couch? Is it inside or outside?

Days has to stop with the music, or look at ABC's song choices. I thought the song they played during the cafe heat wave was bad, but the bradison song was even worse.

With that flakey Princess Gina music playing, I have a feeling I'm gonna start hating John and Hope VERY soon. Bo was the only one that didn't piss me off today. A big fat "FAIL" to MarDar for revisiting the most hated, character-destructive storyline written by the "fail"-master himself, Tom Langan.

Christie Clarke was really good today! I could feel her remorse, her confusion, and her fear.

Ali and Galen didn't do a bad job either. I did NOT feel sorry for Sami, though. Quit hiding your beastsex, Sami, you bitch.

Bradison was cute minus that cheesy-ass music.

EPIC FAIL acting by Muldoon today. The drunk scenes were atrocious.

Sami has some nerve ordering Rafe out when he's genuinely trying to get to the bottom of their problems. :censored: Today I really felt sorry for Rafe because he's taking responsibility for something that Sami is equally to blame for. I thought Rafe/Sami's scenes were really well written, acted, everything. I'm looking forward to this story unfolding. :D

I don't get why Marlena was telling Carrie her feelings for Rafe are okay. They're NOT OKAY! Never mind Rafe is her brother in law, Carrie is married herself, she should be focusing on fixing her and Austin's marriage. From what she told Marlena it's like she let herself get close to Rafe as a way to avoid fixing the problems in her marriage. Not good Carrie. I get Sami has done a lot of dirt but at least she's straight up about it. You know what you're gonna get with Sami. However Carrie likes everyone to think of her as being 'the good one'. Well that's over now.

I'm not a Bo/Hope fan but I actually liked their scenes today. I'm looking forward to this story I just hope my Jarlena  remain in tact.

I was looking forward to Austin/Abby instead I thought it was gross. :puke: Maybe it was the acting although Kate Munsi was great as always so maybe it was Patrick Muldoon. But I'm always skeptical of drunk scenes. Either they're really great or too terrible to watch. Hopefully tomorrow's scenes will be better.

Can someone PLEASE get Brady and Madison OFF MY SCREEN!! For the life of me I cannot stand this couple!!

See, I liked the Carrie/Marlena scenes. Didn't think I would, but I actually found them realistic. Of course, Marlena doesn't think what Carrie did was right, but Carrie was DISTRAUGHT over it at the moment and needed to confide in someone. She didnt need her mother figure biting her head off. Marlena was trying to make Carrie feel like she was in a safe, non-judgemental place. No way in he'll Carrie would have talked about it if Marlena had been judgemental.

These were some of Christie's best scenes since her return. Loved them.

Can they please move the camera out some? It's way too close to the actors. I can't see any of the surroundings most of the time and it's just...I don't know...it's like I'm all up in their personal space or something.

Marlena's line to Carrie was totally OOC and just wrong. I was in the other room and heard it and my jaw dropped at how OOC it was. I knew ppl would be going off about it, lol. Bad writing. Really, really bad.

Marlena has never favored Carrie or any of her kids over any of the others, IMO. She handles things with each one differently, according to their personalities. Carrie and Sami may have committed some of the same "mistakes" or whatever you want to call them, but the difference between the two is that Carrie always acknowledges that what she's done was wrong and takes responsibility for it. Sami tries to justify her actions by blaming other people. THAT, imo, is why Marlena's reaction to each of their faces is different. If you're standing in front of your child (no matter their age) that is already down on themselves for what they've done, you support and comfort even if you don't agree. On the other hand, if you are standing in front of your child and they won't even admit what they've done while at the same time wildly and irrationally throwing everything you've ever done wrong back in your face as justification, you try to somehow show that child that they aren't acting rationally and guide them so that they see the clear picture. I really do wish that when Johnny was missing and Sami went off on Marlena for not being there, blah blah, that Marlena had brought up how Sami kidnapped Belle and tried to sell her on the black market, allowing Marlena to think her baby was gone from her forever. The HELL Marlena hasn't been there for Sami. Just bullshit.

Really, I want at least three two to three minute, back to back scenes of nothing but Marlena screaming at Sami--I mean just completely breaking down and letting her have it while Sami is just too stunned to say a damned word--everything that Sami has ever done to Marlena. Seriously. It's long overdue.

John and Hope. Sigh. It's beyond tiring to even think about. And I'm about an episode away from turning this show off for good. If they even come close to hinting at feelings between them...yep. Done. And KA really was worse today than yesterday. Terrible.

Brady and Madison. Really? :sheep: Wow. :shame:

Loved the JnM scenes on the couch. Yum.

Today was better then yesterday but still rather uneven in the writing department.

I thought there was a bit more intensity and weigh behind what was going on today, particularly the Sami/Rafe/Carrie/Austin/Abigail stuff. The music, acting, writing, and general feel of the scenes were better than what we got yesterday but I do agree they are rushing. I see what they are trying to do. They are going for a OLTL-like pace. The only issue is that you can do that and still make the scenes resonate better and the show isn't doing that. This goes back to what has been the biggest issue since the relaunch and that is pacing and flow. The shoe struggles with that and often times doesn't pick up on what it needs to from the previous episode the next day. They are doing that better the past two weeks but it still needs works and I now see a lack of consistency amidst episodes in terms of carrying the proper tone of a scene throughout.

Anyway, the Marlena/Carrie scenes were terrible because the dialogue was infuriating. I liked the Sami/Rafe stuff for the most part and the Austin/Carrie scenes too. I thought they were well-acted and written, especially the Sami/Rafe scenes, which I thought were very effective. I love the layer of Sami letting Rafe go because of what she did. The Bo/Hope/John scenes were way too rushed but not too bad. Austin/Abby was all over the place. PM stinks at playing a drunk and I thought they rushed that. How about a few scenes of him getting drunk and stumbling around drunk and recalling what Carrie and Rafe did? We didn't get enough of his reaction prior to the Abby stuff at all. Also, I thought we could've used a little more content before Abby kissed him.

Brady/Madison was cute for what it was. I liked the scene of her freaking out over the text and answering the door as well the "black glove" stuff at the end. The segway stuff would've been fine in a cheesy sort of way if not for the embarrassing music. I thought that may have been a Maxam thing but apparently not. Whoever is responsible should be fired. That music is awful. Go get some independent artists or something to record stuff instead of this garbage, please!

An improvement from yesterday but the show is still lacking from last week's episodes. Alot is happening and that is great but the pacing needs to slow down and the execution needs to improve a bit.

I give the writers a pass a lot of the time on the dialogue because it's a 5 day a week soap and I just want to be entertained, don't want to spend a lot of time analyzing every word spoken. But the Marlena/Carrie scenes were bad, didn't make sense at all. When Marlena told Carrie "you didn't do anything wrong", I just about fell off my chair. Umm....what? The only excuse for that is that DH flubbed a line, but she's too much of a pro to make that big of a mistake. The whole conversation was just bad, bad, bad.

Brady and Madison's big adventure was so over the top cheesy that I couldn't watch, being as I'm lactose intolerant. Let's move on to an actual story now, okay? It's well established that they are in love, they're cute, they have great sex...now I'm ready for some drama.

Hate what Abby is doing. Jennifer should quit worrying about her daughter's modeling career and tune in to what is really going on.

I'm with John...just get the John/Hope marriage quietly annulled and have private weddings and move on. This doesn't have to be a big deal, right? But now we have Bo predicting all kinds of havoc will ensue...did he bump his head and become psychic again?

The Rafe/Sami scenes were pretty good, drama-wise. I do understand a lot of Sami's actions are due to her guilt so I get why her reaction to Rafe's indiscretion is so severe. I thought AS did a good job with her scenes, didn't go OTT, managed a few tears, and showed some guilt/heartbreak. I feel a teensy bit sorry for her because she knows she had a great life going for awhile and she has once again managed to screw it all up.

Yes! Her "heartbroken" face yesterday could double as her "I just bit into a lemon" face. Terrible.
