http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-huge-gh-casting EXCLUSIVE: Huge GH Casting! By SOD • Posted: Feb 7, 2012 Digest has learned that soap vet Robin Mattson (ex-Janet, AMC et al) is heading back to Port Charles. The actress, who played the memorable role of Heather Webber from 1980-82 will return in late March/early April. Look for her arrival to impact Steven (Scott Reeves): After all, she's his mom who sold him on the black market as a baby. |

Wait a minute...your telling me an older, female, sorta veteran character is returning to GH??? YAY! I really do love Robin Mattson imo she was Janet but that's probably because I never got the chance to watch the first actress. |

Am I the only one who gets more and more worried with every return I read about? This has shades of OLTL all over it. The more returns the more convinced I am that the show is ending. Just waiting to read that Scotty and Lucy and Alan are coming back and I know it's over for sure. |

I'm kind of worried too. What's with all these returns? They should fix the show, before bringing all these vets back. I do look forward to Mattson's return, she's great. |

My head just exploded from this awesomeness! I LOVE her and this will be amazing. Frank and Ron are dominating GH already. Sadly, I think GH is going out soon, as expected. They're probably reintroducing all of the older characters so when they come back around the finale newer viewers will have an idea of who they are. I pray that GH gets saved because The Revolution is so terrible, BUT if GH has to go I could not be happier with how Ron and Frank are going about things thus far. |

Let's hope she has a better story than the one from a couple of years ago, when she was obsessed with the Laura wig. I kind of hope for a Scotty Heather scene if Kin comes back. I have seen clips of them scheming and it is good stuff! |

I think GH is done whether The Revolution is cancelled or not. There's not much difference between a 1.7 and a 1.3. Both suck bigtime. |

These returns (and improved quality) will hopefully improve the ratings, which should help the show. GH is so bad you can't simply fix the show with the current cast. It needs a drastic new direction and the current cast is very weak. It's full of poorly or unconnected newbies and the important characters have so many gaps in their lives. You need these returning characters to ground the ones on screen. How could Robin be dying or sick all this time without a mention of her parents? How have Carly and Luke gone through everything they have without Bobbie, one of their few family members?? Steve was brought back, but his connections (same with Liz) are rarely utilized. Hopefully having Heather back with ground him some more. Now once they fill the gaps they can start revamping the story. |

I love RM but am worried about the influx of new and long departed characters when the show already has a big cast. I wonder who else is slated to leave to make room for them. |

These kinds of reactions are making me laugh. Bringing back the proper core of this show - legacy family members, doctors, nurses, etc, IS fixing the show. Peace out General Mobspital. |

On a show like DAYS I worry about the other shoe dropping constantly. With all of their returns I know someone that I enjoy is going to get cut along with probably Daniel and a few others. The cast is just too big and there's probably more to come. With General Hospital I am ready to throw a party every time a new return is announced. There is so much dead weight on that cast that they almost can't go wrong. |
