^I'm not sure how they can possibly twist this to make Abby's actions Jack's fault - even if it was true history that he was never around how is that related to pretending to sleep with someone and trying to cause a rift in a marriage. I think Jack would certainly try and blame himself but how anyone else can link the two is beyond me. I really can't understand this sudden switch to Abby being a nutcase.
When it comes to Jennifer and Abigail, Jack would probably try to take the blame for a rainy day. My current low opinion of Jennifer would actually improve if she refused to accept Abigail's shunting the blame on to Jack and insisted that her daughter take responsibility for her own actions. Of course, that would also mean that Jennifer would have to do the same thing herself, which isn't exactly her strong point . . .

Back to Abigail--I think it makes far more sense to tie her scheming to land Austin into her lingering funk over Chad and Melanie. She was extremely upset by their Halloween kiss, and she never wholly bought that Chad didn't know who he was snogging at the time. (And as it turned out, she was right.) My take on it is that she became disenchanted with Chad from that point on, and eager to seize upon any sign of interest from the next attractive guy she met and conflate it into a big romance to salve her insecurities. It's a pity all around that the guy turned out to be the much older, married Austin.

The entire Austin/Abby thing has become distasteful. But the really OTT part was Abigail traipsing around in her underwear. What?! She was not only willing to strip down and be with a drunken older married man at the drop of a hat, but then she stayed in her underwear the entire night while he slept off his drunken stupor? How pathetic is that?

:shame:

Gone, But Not Forgotten!

Austin woke up and was fully clothed. Doesn't he find that strange or odd?? After a night of sex in a drunken stupor, does he think that he'd be able to get himself dressed, all while Abby was still prancing around in her underwear. He is so dumb for a forensic accountant.

Marlena seems like she is also losing her edge... Stefano has her raging mad. She was thinking she's go over and talking to him... no, wait a minute, I think she says KILL HIM...

In the pub scene, John and Hope were sitting just a tad too close for comfort. I guess they had to squeeze together to get the foursome in the shot.... not!!!!! Sorry BOPE and J&M fans... I'm calling it as I see it.
Were they all sitting in the same side of the booth? :puke:

John & Marlena were already at the pub & sitting across from each other when Bo & Hope arrived. Hope sat down next to John, & Bo next to Hope. Bo & Hope are definitely closer to each other than John & Marlena in terms of angles around the table, but John & Hope and Bo & Marlena are closer to each other than either actual couple is to their other half (i can't says spouse since Hope & John are apparently the only spouses. lol)
Well it makes sense to me...Jarlena was sitting at opposite sides to begin with when Bope came in....this is totally irrelevant IMO.
If CPR is done as a chem test, then seating at the Brady Pub can certainly be relevant. Where we're starting a story which may link John and Hope romantically, I don't think it's out of line at all to notice who's sitting next to whom. John and Marlena have had MANY scenes at the pub where they sat next to each other (and cuddled and kissed) on the same side of the booth. It would not surprise me in the slightest if the director placed Hope next to John to foreshadow the story or imply something.

It was just something I noticed. Hope is sitting way closer to John, than to BO. I could swear, at one point, her arm was within an inch of his.
I know the 4some are close, but to me it seemed almost like invasion of personal space. Didn't see any chemistry or looks or anything else... just funny how it was set, when we all know they are heading off together to Alamania for 2 weeks. Since they were at a table. Bope's chairs could have easily been placed closer together, esp since J&M were sitting across from each othe, but they weren't.

Ugh I just remembered where the 'CPR as a chem test' reference was from - Jope '98! Blech. Drake said this in an interview once. Hope and John were in the jungle, and Hope needed CPR. Drake questioned the directors/producers when it was being taped, like, do we really need to do a whole full blown CPR scene here? (I mean, imagine if tomorrow Maggie needed to give John mouth-to-mouth. Weird, right?) They said that he needed to do what was in the script because they were testing the chemistry between them and building up to something. Sigh. Maybe the seating today means nothing, but I'm sure everyone can see why some viewers are very wary of this show!

I'm not concerned about the chem testing, but I wouldn't be surprised if the seating was done on purpose...not to imply anything but just as kind of a symbolic thing.

I'm amused that Carrie took all that away from her chat with Marlena, since Marlena didn't actually say half of those things.

Whatever wedding they decide to do for J&M will be kinda lame being that Belle won't be there. Or ShawnD for Bope. I would have rather they skipped this story and not have a wedding, than go through this mess just to get another wedding. Lame.
If there's another wedding, I pray they bring MM in, so Belle can make a cameo.

MarDar were definitely right when they said you miss a day and you miss a lot. So far February has been an exciting month with lots of big twists and turns. The spoiler free are in for some huge shockers. Will confessing to Sami, Sami catching Rafe and Sami kissing, John and Hope being married, and Abby lying to Austin about sleeping together..This is how a soap opera should be...I'm definitely digging Days now..The stalemate that the show has been in the past few months filling seems to be over..And we have so much coming up with Billie and Lucas returning. And Ian starting this week.

I seriously do not want anymore J&M or Bope weddings, they have already had like a dozen between the two couples! And for some reason... if the two couples do get remarried... I totally see them having a double wedding! :shame:

John and Marlena can get remarried in May.

Bope can get remarried in August.

Gone, But Not Forgotten!

I don't see a double wedding for any combo in this foursome. One, if not both couples will be faced with challenges that make it impossible.

There is so many good possibilities for this Alamania Gina and John SL. Death, betrayal, love, adventure, angst.

I'm sure that others like it too. For me, I find it upsetting, mostly b/c it is out of character for Abby. A complete shocker!

I want to invest in the Bo/Hope/John/Marlena storyline. I do. It could be all kinds of edge-of-your-seat juiciness with unexpected twists and turns. I want that. I want it to feel like the old Days.

But so far I just can't invest in the drama of this sl because... THERE ISN'T ANY. The repetitive dialog has told us that this is is a dramatic event over and over, but they haven't told us why it's dramatic. Who cares if there's a piece of paper in another country from years ago that says somebody's married? What difference does it make to their lives today? They're telling me I should be hooked into the suspense of it, but nobody's really said why.

Does it affect the way each couple feels about each other? No. Nobody was unfaithful, nobody lied, nobody has fallen out of love. Is anyone in serious physical peril because of this? Not in the least. Does this news affect their children or families? Nope. I'm pretty sure if they told absolutely no one else about the Hope/John marriage, it wouldn't make a bit of difference to anyone, including Bope and Jarlena.

MarDar, I really want to get hooked on this storyline. I want to. But why the fuck should I care???

(You could start with giving KA more to work with than cheesy-ass dropping to her chair and the certificate falling out of her hands. Seriously. Wasted talent right there.)
