Ian Buchanan is known to many for playing the suave Duke Lavery on ABC Daytime's GENERAL HOSPITAL, Dr. James Warwick on CBS' THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, to Greg Madden on ALL MY CHILDREN. The actor is set to debut very soon on NBC's DAYS OF OUR LIVES, that seems to have ties to many in the town of Salem: "He does have two connections, actually. He's very nefarious, and has probably crossed paths with people in other places that they don't WANT to remember, but he remembers. I think he's filthy rich, as he likes to tell people. He's highly manipulative, which he doesn't need to tell people. He's very passionate, but he's also a sociopath, probably psychotic, all those great combinations that make great lovers and not really good friends." The actor then jokingly looked back at his time at GH with Finola Hughes, who will be returning to her former home as Anna Devane: "We had big hair then! Finola and I always laugh about that. My hair was shiny while hers was big. Then, we always joked that we shared one eyebrow. If we ever had a child, it would be an eyebrow because we had this very thick, Scottish, keltic unibrow going on." One of the most mind-numbing storylines the actor storylines Ian took part in was the Greg Madden/unaborted fetus story on AMC. While it raised many eyebrows, excuse my pun, it definitely was entertaining for the actor: "I still don't know what kind of guy would do that. It was sort of explained to me. Half my mind was like, 'Oh, great! I get to spend at least one year in New York.' Then, they were like, 'What about the fetus?' and I said, 'Oh, um...yea, I'll take the fetus.' I had no idea the abortion would be a huge part of this show. The way people responded, it was if I had decided that was going to happen, that I had written it. I was, 'Um, no, folks." The way this works is that somebody else writes it. I just said, 'Yes, I'll play it.'" YIKES!!! Sounds like he may be a little bent calling himself a sociopath and possible psychotic. What is he going to be obsessed with either Kate or Madison most likely Kate since he wants her to come back to him and obviously still deeply cares for her given what he stated in another interview given by DR. |

Awesome! I'm hopeful that his character will be even half as entertaining as his interviews have been. |
