But did Sami ever say anything to Will describing what Rafe and Carrie did other than "kiss"? I watched some of today's scenes last night and thought Chandler was playing it as if he thought it was a peck on the cheek before Carrie left the office at night.

No wonder Johnny wants Rafe. Mommy just tried to minimize his fear.

I think she said they were kissing and she was sure something was going on. Of course this is right after Rafe apologized 8 ways to Sunday, so IMO she sounded pretty paranoid...especially if you didn't actually see what happened.

J&M can't afford to eat out, but a flight to Alamainia is no problem.

Ok... I'll have to watch again but I kind of liked that Chandler was downplaying Sami's response. Like not only is she a hypocrite, she's a paranoid exaggerating hypocrite. And that would go along with the fact that Will really likes Rafe. But you're right, "were kissing" is different than just "a kiss" or something.

Yeah, not impressed with Ian. Not creepy or scary at all. Just laughably insane. I hope that improves, but I've never been impressed with IB's acting.

Same ole, Same ole with Sami & Will. Nothing new to see just more huffing and puffing and watery eyes on both their parts. Can't believe the only one I had an inkling of sympathy for was Rafe. I even felt GG did a good job as the remorseful, contrite husband.

Why was Melanie dressed like a middle aged woman? Days you really do need to put some effort into looking as if these people are upper middle class and/or rich.

FFd through the "big" four.

Based on today's episode, Days you're still not on my must see/piqued my interest list.

I really enjoyed today's episode. Far and away the BEST episode of the week. It was directed by show producer Albert Alarr and written by Lacey Dyer. Interestingly, in watching the credits today I noticed that Jeanne Marie Ford (who was missing from the associate writers grouping yesterday) is back in, giving the show SEVEN associate writers now in addition to the SEVEN regular script writers. Really? Do we NEED this many people to put together THIS show?

I don't understand the big controversy about John & Hope running off to get married. How did they have time? Probably the same way that EJ became old enough to marry Sami & be Will's stepfather when Will is older than he is. Or how Bo anded up Zach's bio-father when, to do so, it means that Hope had to be pregnant for the better part of a year and a half (if I remember my math from back then correctly). I gave up figuring out logical timelines for this soap years ago because it gives me a head ache. It's like everyone in town has their own personal TARDIS so that they can jump around in time at their own leisure.

So... big girl adult Nurse Melanie is going to go home and practice her "modeling poses" in front of the mirror. Will she do it while wearing fuzzy bunny slippers and a Hello Kitty nightie and listening to Justin Beiber on her ipod? Is this before or after she blows bubbles in her milk? Why must every character in their late teens/early 20s on this show be written in a manner that's even too immature for any teen characters on the Disney Channel or ABC Family? I find it difficult to believe that B&B's Thomas/Steffy/Liam/Hope are supposed the be the same age as DAYS's teen/young adult half-wits.

Will has evolved into his own little Greek Chorus. However, as much as I enjoy him sticking it to Sami and making her SQUIRM, he needs to get his manipulative 'mo on. He needs to be a smarmy little playboy for a while. I'm sure Quinn's spa has a steam room somewhere....

Ian Buchanan was like a BREATH OF FRESH AIR TODAY! I *instantly* drew me into the Brady/Madison story (when, previously, I really could've cared less). I like that, at this point, he seems to be the only male in Salem who still has his balls attached. I hope he fucks with everyone. After the shit these characters have thrown at us for the last few years, they sure as fuck deserve it.

This might sound ridiculous, but I see those situations in two categories. Things that played out on screen, and things that didn't. For better or worse, soaps have always brought people back at a different age or filled in "missing years" after the fact. But if we watch something take place and then it's rewritten, that's worse imo. I'd be much more impressed now if the writers took the time to investigate where in 98/99 this could have fit in. Even pinpoint an episode! Was Marlena away for a week in the spring of '99? Hmm! But to throw a general "before John and Marlena's wedding" in there really makes no sense to me.

I thought they explained the Alamainia thing well.

I wish Will had corrected Sami's statement about Carrie.
What statement? The one where she says that Carrie has always gone after the man she loves?....in a way I think I can understand that statement better if you include the latter years over the mid 90s stuff. It's a fact that Carrie was fine being with Lucas knowing that Sami loved him, she even accepted his proposal knowing he was still in love with Sami. Carrie didn't truly want Lucas but was fine to boink him for his good sperm and then when she realized that Austin and Sami were getting together and while she was married to Sami's love at the time, she managed to boink Sami's fiancee. Two men tied to Sami in some way back then. In other words....Sami loved Lucas, Carrie boinked him, now Sami loves Rafe and Carrie has the hots for him. It doesn't make sense when you put their mid 90s history into it, but it sort of makes sense later on in their history. I still have a hard time believing that Carrie goes after "Sami's men"....it's more like she gets horny and screws men. Obviously Mike wasn't Sami's man, but she managed to cheat on Austin with him.
Seems as if Carrie has not been the good girl ,they all try so hard to portray, glad someonel else remembers her history and affairs ,Never could stand her goody two shoes act and how Marlana has always covered for her and not taken her to task but has always been on Sammie's case . I know Sammie not perfect but at least she knows herself.Carrie has built up this good girl image and all who do not see her this way are wrong .They do not see how very hateful Carrie can really be ..

I don't remember how I felt about yesterday's episode, but it really did seem like it got better each day. I didn't really dread any episodes this week, and I'm actually looking forward to next week (which I will not be watching live). Not really what you'd expect for sweeps, but not bad either.

ICAM! I don't know anything about this actor or his background, but I was INSTANTLY drawn in to his character after watching his first episode. It is so nice to have a REAL villain in Salem, and I hope he causes all types of hell for everyone.

Dude! I'm watching the Princess Diaries 2, and they're watching a slideshow of various eligible royals, and one of them is an old man named Ian McAllister, lol.

Oh stupid Sami how can you expect Will to forgive you and you won't even forgive your own mother for the very same thing? :shame:

I loved the looks on Will's face when Sami was telling Rafe all those lies about what her and Will were really talking about  .

I liked today's episode, but I was getting used to not seeing Melanie's annoying side feel sorry for me grin when she first saw Abigail and I really was enjoying not having to see those way too short skirts of hers too.

Austin took Brady up on his drink invite come on man do you think you really need another drink after last night?

As for the John and Hope marriage thins it all j seems like they are gearing up for things to happen once John and Hope get to Alamainia and that is why Bo and Marlena can't go with their significant others for the trip.

Oh Ian you are one scary dude for sure. Poor Madison he is so damn mean to her. When Brady came in she was on the bed looking like a scolded fiver year old child. She is usually so strong and feisty especially when it came to Kate, but today she was a shivering wreck around Ian. WTH hold does he have on Madison. Cant wait until we see his interactions with Kate too.

The look on Brady's face was like "Who is the old dude?"

Does Austin really think that running back to Switzerland is the best thing to do to get away from Abigail? Something tells me if she gets wind of this she is going to do everything that she can do to see that he does not leave Salem at all.

Still don't get Melanie saying that she has never had a bestie so she does not know how to act when she has one. That in not entirely true because she did have one with Ari that is why she put up that huge reward to find out who killed her. She told Dario that is was why she did it because they were best friends.

I liked today's episode.

Ian made me want to run to my safe place and hide until it was safe to come out. :run: :scared: :peek: That is one creepy psycho. Must say I loved it though.

Sami doesn't know herself. She thinks she's allowed to do bad because her mother fell in love with someone else and slept with him. Marlena was also the only one to really try and stop Carrie from falling in love with Mike. Actively. As in, be there at the same time so she could physically stop them from being alone. And then reamed Carrie for allowing herself to be alone with him.

Let's at least stick to history.

Same feeling I got too it is not like a normal marriage it is like a father scolding his child. It's weird. Madison was cringing at the sight of him all episode this is definitely not a loving marriage. Besides Madison loves Brady and Ian is eying Kate so I don't get it. WTH?????

And Madison's involved with Brady. John's son.

If Ian is Stefano's brother...
