Abigail is seriously messed up. Drop the shrooms
:roflol: Sad but true. I couldn't believe how she was going on about how her and Austin have a connection and "made love." :shame: Seriously, get a grip honey! Why do they keep making daughters of supercouples go nutty over men who are not worth it?
So that Melanie, a daughter of a non-couple, can be propped into a bigger Mary Sue than she already is.

I know this is true and it pisses me off. Stephanie had to go nuts so Melanie looked like the solid stable prize for the eligible guy, now Abby is losing it for the exact same reason. Whatever IIC. :moon:

It took everything I had not to fall asleep during today's show. WTH was with the Madison/Brady/Ian scenes? Terrible pacing, acting and writing! It's almost as though they were spoofing soaps with that dragged out crap.

Roman threatening Rafe came off totally weak. I think Rafe was smirky and looked anything but apologetic. They might as well have had Rafe answer that since Roman's one daughter had been acting desperate and not behaving as he wanted he decided to tap the other daughter who has been throwing him smiles, hugs and entertaining him with ice cubes. I used to like Rafe, but now I think he just comes across as a phony ass.

Abby's sudden friendship with Melanie seems weird to me. I can't believe she's ready to wash her hands of what happened and now confide in Melanie so completely. Have the writers ever hung around teens before? They hold some mean grudges especially when boyfriends are involved.

I feel really sorry for any Austin/Carrie fans that were drawn back to the show with the announcement of their return. They've gotten squat. They are writing this legacy couple as though there is no history holding them together and they frankly don't care enough to even shed some clothes to rekindle any flame. Scrap this one.

This show is just IDK I love Ej and Nicole but other than that the rest are not really getting me interested at all. Cafe has bored me but I will say rafe is more likeable with her so if it got interesting I'm game. I'm new to the show so I'm not invested in Carrie and Austin so them falling apart kinda eh I don't care. Abigail is getting interesting with all the crazy coming out I could get into a little fatal attraction soap style. Bradison and Ian has potential mostly because Ian is skeevy as hell. Poor Brady hasn't had much luck with women recently has he. Nicole loves Ej and Madison is married to a seriously creepy dude. I would be more upset with Madison because she hurt Brady but it just moved way way to fast. Will has been awesome I love anyone who takes sami and gives her what she deserves. But Will you seriously suck at keeping secrets He should just draw super detective rafe a picture and get it over with already. This whole gay thing I'm glad its not going to be all wine and roses because its not always that way in real life and also it would be boring but I really hope they make it good and don't half ass it

I'm not really into the show today. I'm not positive that it's the show's fault, though.

Meanwhile, how does Melanie know who Austin and Carrie are?

I do like that Winston just unknowingly showed Will he'd be supportive. Unfortunately, he also gave him a reason to stay in the closet (danger to his family).

I kind of liked that shot of Carrie and Austin lying fully clothed on the bed.

Austin is such a jerk in this story, and it's really easy to miss because he doesn't sound like a jerk at all. So while Abby is insane, and what she's saying happened didn't happen, Austin thinks it did, and in his mind he's done to Abby exactly what she thinks he did. Also, he thinks he did that, and while he's not letting Carrie apologize, he's also not telling her.

Okay. So I don't like the current set-up of the thirtysomethings. I haven't liked them for years, but right now it's kind of a logistics thing. There's no one in their age group for any of them to be friends with. Well, I guess there's Brady/Austin, but I'm really going to need them to address Brady/Carrie's relationship. Anyway, Madison needs to be friends with one of the other women. EJ desperately needs a friend. Sami should be taken care of once Lucas comes back. So really, they just need to find some other kind of relationship for EJ, Nicole, Madison, Carrie, Austin, Brady, and Rafe. While I don't care for them, I think the show's done at least an adequate job giving the younger set friends and the older set. They really need to work on their supposed main age group.

Meanwhile, LMAO @ Ian. "Well congratulations, but that is unfortunate." Y'all, I'm pretty sure I said that earlier today.

Today's show was lackluster at best. The scenes were boring and the pacing of the Ian/Madison/Brady scenes was awful. They dragged it out until I was ready to scream. Pure filler.

The scenes at the police station with Rafe and Roman could have been so much more than they were. Roman didn't really come across as being angry, and Rafe didn't really come across as being apologetic to the father of both Roman's daughters. Not played well at all. Honestly, I am tired of hearing Rafe say, I'm going to fix this.

The Melanie/Abby scenes weren't even believable. Like Hamilton said, teenage girls don't forgive and forget quite that easily where boyfriends are concerned. Abby is really acting like she is way over the edge. I hope they don't make her too nutty.

Hopefully, tomorrow's show turns out a lot better than today's. For a sweeps show or really any show, it stunk.

The only thing I got from this eppi is Abby is freaking nuts! Anyone remember Beth on Passions? Abby's her minus the verbally/emotionally abusive mother & psychopathic father. Next we're going to see Carrie pregnant in a pit. Mark. My. Words.

Brady and Madison's story has definitely gotten much more interesting since Ian arrived. I thought Sarah Brown did a great job showing how afraid Madison is of Ian. It's such a complete contrast from the Madison we've gotten to know since October. I'm looking forward to Brady saving Madison from this control and become her hero, her John Black.

Glad to see Roman get upset about Rafe and Carrie's kiss since Marlena didn't.

I really enjoy Abigail and Melanie's friendship. I was a little surprised to find out Melanie knows Austin and Carrie. I guess they met off-screen. Salem isn't that big and their families are connected, I guess. Plus, they have stated a friendship exists between Melanie and Will, so I guess Melanie would know who Will's aunt and uncle are.

Why cant roman ever be true father to carrie and be there for her and no wonder she will always think of john has her father.i would like to know why roman always put sami over carrie.
someone has to be on Sami's team since Marlena never is. But seriously, I like the dynamic of Roman+Sami vs. Marlena+Carrie+John. It works. To me it feels real to life. Truth is ppl have favorite kids. Sami's daddy's little girl. Carrie is too, however she thinks of John as her father, which is obvious to everyone including Roman. And Marlena hates her screwed up daughter.

It's crazy but I really like Carrie and Austin's relationship and I like the idea of Abigail and Melanie's friendship but MB just goes and ruins it. I'm overjoyed they finally have Mel in the right age group but I think all of MB's bullshit acting ticks have turned me against her indefinitely.

It is sad when the thing that stood out most to me on today's show was the big gold circle used on the ice cream carton to cover up the Breyer's name. I am surprised Days didn't use that as another product placement opportunity.

Melanie was also in a scene back in December before Chad and Abigail broke up where she, Chad, Abigail, and Gabi encountered Austin in the Town Square. It was that scene that focused on the "How You Know You Should Breakup" book that Austin had, which led to Chad and Abigail breaking up. Plus, Austin was a big part of the rescue effort during the Internet gambling stuff so, while he didn't save Melanie, at the end when everyone was gathered together, they were both present. I would imagine she would know who he was anyway though, especially since she was married to Philip for about a year.

Today was ok. Alot of filler. The Bo/Roman stuff was cool but why bother with this Moroni stuff that we know won't mean anything? I like that Roman found out about Rafe and Carrie and got upset. We need more of Roman being involved in stuff like that. I would like some Carrie/Roman and Sami/Roman scenes more often. I hate Taylor as Roman but those scenes are needed. It annoyed me how nosy Bo was but at least it led to Roman finding out.

Liked the Roman and Will interaction. I would like to see more of Will interacting with other relatives. Good Will/Rafe scenes too.

I've enjoyed the Abigail/Melanie scenes and I was glad they rushed them back together as friends because they work as friends. It's clear to me they changed gears about the Abigail/Chad/Melanie storyline for whatever reason and that is why they went ahead with Austin/Abigail. They just had to have Abigail mad at Melanie because it was unavoidable and it gave Abigail no one to turn to as she fell further into her delusions concerning Austin. Anyway, I missed Melanie and she needed that break so glad she got it and is back. Loved her scenes with Abigail today and the way all this is progressing. LOVED the scene in front of the fireplace. It was gorgeous!

The Brady/Madison story has really come alive. Brown, Buchanan, and even Martsolf have been great! I'm really curious about where they are going with this. Good scenes. It's so refreshing seeing this side to Madison.

I liked the Austin and Carrie scenes it’s nice to see a couple in love, and I know they are they are the rooting couple, just holding each other kissing and hugging! Carrie seemed to be very into Austin, and the feelings are mutual with Austin!

You wouldn’t know it was sweeps month. The show was very uneventful, boring, and uninteresting! It’s Valentines Week where is the love and romance? I’m getting very tired of filler shows! And the spoilers for the week don’t sound that interesting either, just stuff we saw 20 years ago!

Much prefers sweevil, snarky EJ over Father Figure Fucktard Eejiot.

Wow...those scenes with Madison/Brady/Ian should have been the highlight of the show but they were so painfully and awkwardly dragged out it completely ruined them. What a shame, too - that was classic soapy angst. But having it take nearly the entire episode before Madison so much as uttered a word? Horrible writing. Brady looked like an idiot and Ian seemed like a cartoonish villain.

I am enjoyed Kate Mansi's portrayal of Abby. Girlfriend is off her rocker but she makes me feel bad for her - much like Ari Z did with the baby switch stuff. I thought Molly B did a nice job as the supportive friend - taking a back seat in the scenes to Mansi.

I really do wish GG had more range because he's just not selling the idea that Rafe is torn up about what's happening to his marriage. Not at all. And the Bo/Roman stuff was overplayed. I guess the whole point to bringing in the "Meroni guy" was to show us how angry Bo is and that he wants to bash his head because he's mad at Stefano? Uhhh...okay. Got it.

The Carrie/Austin scenes were bittersweet. I've always liked them and particularly with PM as Austin...I thought they played their still brewing conflict well. Carrie clearly doesn't appear to be that in to her husband these days and he's too guilt ridden about what he thinks happened with Abby to pick up on the real vibe going on there.
