Thanks for posting sounds like Eric is 110 percent committed into Bradison making it as a couple.

Ian sounds deliciously bad......should be interesting.

I'm so tired of hearing about deliciously bad characters. Maybe the writers should focus on strong deliciously good characters.

Wouldn't that be a refreshing change from just turning all the good guys into cheaters and focusing on having them partner swap?

I don't think MarDar are up to the challenge or even know where to begin to write deliciously good characters. The exciting heroes of the past and all their complicated layers seem not worth the effort anymore.

I think it's obvious that Brady is supposed to be the good guy/hero of this story. Even Higley didn't turn Brady into a jerk until 2010. EM's Brady spent the first year and a half or so of his tenure as a kindhearted man who stood by Nicole. I think it was Higley who initially made him the recovering drug addict in the first place but he didn't have a drug problem onscreen. I don't know why it was decided in 2010 that discovering Nicole had a secret! bank! account! was enough to turn him into Drunk Asshole Brady (who did at least have some good lines and some fun chem with LS), but it was. However, that isn't MarDar's fault and they've had a lot of Higley shit to clean up; Brady's assholery is just one thing. They are the ones who had Brady care about Chloe when Daniel couldn't be bothered and they at least gave Broe fans something nice as Chloe was leaving. Brady hasn't been drinking, he and Nicole handled their breakup very maturely (and briefly), and he's been working. He had some tension with his father but now they're working together.

People might disagree that Brady should be with Madison, but personally this is the first time I've had an iota of interest in them together and that's in part because they have a dark force to struggle against. The good guys need the bad guys so we can see how good they are, and it seems clear to me that MarDar have decided to let Asshole Brady sleep away in the corner, so let's tiptoe off so we don't wake him up.

I hope SJB gets some material to work with and have seen already that she and IB work well off each other. She shows Madison as being afraid over the hold Ian has on her. Bradison needed a creepy guy like IB's character for their SL.

Are you serious?! We have WAY too many "good" characters on this show. It's about damn time there's a REAL badass around to shake things up.

Good characters:
Lexie
Abe (100% good besides his election lie)
Caroline
Roman
Marlena
John
Bo
Hope
Jack
Maggie
Jennifer (debatable, I guess)
Melanie
Daniel
Chad
Sonny
Adrienne
Justin
Will (still a good character; his mother pushed him off the edge)
Brady
Doug
Julie
Nicole (she's just innocently entangled in EJ's web of lies)

"Bad" Characters:
Stefano
Kate
Austin
Carrie
Rafe
Sami
Ian
Abby
Victor (albeit very soft, just as Stefano is)
Madison (she's scared and has a temper; that's it pretty much)

23 good vs. 10 bad.

Sadly enough, a "deliciously good character" will not bring in the ratings as DAYS is so desperately trying to hold on. There is no way that the show is going to develop that in detail.

I actually find myself interested in Brady and Madison's story now. I've never really cared about Brady or his love life before but with the introduction of Ian I find myself wanting to see where this will go. Good move on MarDar's part.

Me too. I've stopped FFing their scenes.

This shows me Nadia was not being brought back for Broe. She was being brought back for Danloe.

I am now rooting for Daniel/Billie and Carrie/Rafe/Austin triangle.

I agree absolutely the good guys need the bad guys so we can see how good they are. Up to this point Brady has been what I would call a 'regular' guy. There has been nothing exciting or "deliciously good" in his character. Ian's introduction may be a way to have Brady become more defined in the hero role and that's great. I hope they can pull it off.

My problem with MarDar is that the heroes on the show have been lacking in oomph. We are 6 months in and have had very little to cheer for. I haven't seen a focus on the good guys using their wits to battle against dark forces. I've seen John not concerned with proving Stefano/Ej were behind framing him. I've seen Rafe turn into a drooling doofus that chases cats and wears tights. I've seen Bo solving Alice's mysteries, but those that lack suspense or any type of danger attached to them. I'd like to see more attention given across the board to bringing back some glory to these men. I don't want all MarDar's focus to be on a great new villain they've decided to introduce and his story while the heroes we've come to love are left with stories that leave them lacking.

There's no real contrast. If there aren't enough strong or likeable good characters, then the bad characters don't matter as much. There are many characters like Jennifer, Dan, Melanie, who are clearly supposed to be good people, yet they often don't come across that way. There are others, like Chad, Lexie, Sonny, who are so one-dimensional that they barely even count as characters. Then there are the characters like Rafe or Carrie who are tarnished for no apparent reason, other than badly rushed melodrama or some type of point-scoring.

When the show suddenly wants to write for a potentially good character they only seem to be interested in turning them nasty (Will, Gabi, Abigail). But no matter how nasty they may be, they are mostly surrounded by characters who are weakly written or acted (or both), so again there is no contrast.

lmfao, what? hahaha, I find it hilarious Eric thinks this Madison storyline is more wtf-ery than a man marrying an orangutan. Oh my....hahahaha

And I agree with others on here, I'm finally starting to like Bradison. I usually zone out when they're on, but Friday was pretty good. They actually made me want to tune in on Monday! (My no.1 storyline is still gaystoryline/Will/Sami/Ej/Rafe though).

"It's just easy. The chemistry was there from day one. We're always laughing, and when you’re laughing right before you're making out or doing a love scene, that happiness [comes through]."

Yeah sorry Sarah, I beg to differ.

^Hey, they have more chem than Ejaylor, and that's good enough for me right now. Then again, nobody's ever had LESS chemistry together in the history of daytime tv, so I guess that's not a great comparison....
