Happy that Abby is back to Jack´s daddys girl again. Too bad she is a little crazy now, but I like that paralel between J/J´s relationship and what Abby believes could be between her and Austin. And the conversation between her and Carrie sounds delicious. I really hope she will make Austin squirm.
I like Ian, Days was in need of a good old fashioned villain.
I hate the idea of Abby crazy but that angst in the scene today with Jack/Abby/Carrie and Austin was good old fashions Days drama. And Kate Mansi pulled of Abigail silently threatening Austin is such a juicy and believable way.
The more Jack and Abby (Matt/Kate) interact the more I adore their father daughter relationship. It isn't as creepy as some father daughter pairings. It has always been an important characteristic of Jack's that he has the close relationship with Abby the Jennifer never had with her father. I love Abby trying to draw parallels between her parents and her situation. It was equally great to see Jack come apart a little when trying to explain the early stages of him and Jennifer, something he was never really comfortable with, not then and not now explaining it to his daughter. Oh and Jack is slowly (albeit very slowly) starting to dress like Jack. Now someone call wardrobe and get a suite and rob to Matt's dressing room stat!
I hate hate hate the jacket they put on Jack. It looks like it belongs on a 75 year old.

Its obvious he has feelings for Carrie which willl surely keep growing. He keeps avoiding the question...and unlike Sami I like the fact that he can't seem to be dishonest and tell a lie. I think he's trying to convince himself at this point that Sami is still his "everything"It was obvious that he saw something in her sister that he realized he needed. I think once the truth comes out...the'll be no turning back for Safe.Sorry Safe fans...just my opinion.I also really love the fact that Abi is back to being a daddy'S girl and looking to him for support..ironically...after everythin he's been through...Jack is now coming off as the more stable of the two parents for Abi.
I'm wondering if Jack is going to figure out that Austin is the guy Abigail's fixed on. Not right away, of course, but eventually. I thought it was interesting that he asked if the guy was her age. Since Abigail refused to answer that, Jack might very well arrive at the conclusion that she's pining for an older man, especially since the subject of his early relationship with Jennifer came up.
Sounds like there's also a trace of melancholy in Jack's remark "see how well it all turned out?" As if he's starting to accept that he and Jennifer are over, and getting ready to move on emotionally from her. Naturally, this will be the moment when Jennifer starts to realize that she wants to give their relationship another shot.
I don't see Sami and Rafe getting back together any time soon after grief-sex with EJ comes out. And Austin and Carrie will most likely hit the skids over his supposed sex with Abigail. Carrie and Rafe will probably jump into bed a few episodes later. Is there any character on DAYS who takes the time to process and mourn a break-up before hitting the sheets with the next warm body to come along? These insta-pairings are a sad comedown from a show that used to be famous for its supercouples.
That's interesting cause thats what I was wondering today when Austin and Carrie ran into them today. Jack looks at them and back at Abigail and i thought maybe he figured it out but is waiting to be sure.Just like it took him some time to back away from jennifer. That seems to be his style...he observes for awhile...figures it out on his own in private...then confronts.I always loved that his character is smart and has strong instincts
It's funny how everyone still acts like Jack & Jen are together. First Lexie asks Jen about spending Valentines with Jack and now Austin tells Jack to give Jen their best.

At least it is consistent and believable writing. It also gives me a little more faith in the writers that they are writing the whole town thinking "obivously Jack and Jennifer are together, they are Jack and Jennifer".

Salem is far too full of people who act first and think later--if they think at all. Sami is probably the worst offender there. So it's a refreshing change to have a character like Jack, who takes the time to think, analyze, and process. Not that he hasn't acted recklessly or impulsively--and it usually comes back to bite him in the ass when he does--but the guy's got a brain and he uses it.

I know!!!! I noticed that too! Whats up with that. when did everyone get a memo that JnJ are together? Maybe when they all pulled their heads out of blondilocks ass when he left town.
For starters, as a non Rafe fan.... I loved the kids at the pub scene. Obviously, they like/love Rafe far more than Sami!!! He is their 'step-dad' and she is just 'some lady'. They ask Rafe when he is coming home, (it was so cute) and I bet they are wishing Sami would leave. Hahahaha!!!!
As it is V-Day.. The romantic in me loved the SAFE kiss at the end. There was such finality to it!!!! It is so over.. Run, Rafe, Run!!!
I hate how EJ and Lucas's children seem to love Rafe more than they do their own fathers.
Me too. Part of why Rafe is Daniel's competition for most propped character. I wish they'd both go bye bye for good.
I don't have a problem with the children being attached to Rafe. He's been involved in their lives for over 3 years and to not show love for him would be a slam against blended families. Stepparents and stepchildren do have loving relationships.
MarDar have recently shown Sydney clinging to Ej and preferring to spend more time with her father. I'm sure when Lucas returns we will see sweet moments with him and Allie and connecting again with Will. We really haven't had many scenes with Rafe and the children since the reboot so I don't see blatant favoritism being a glaring issue. This was obviously a scene set up to make Rafe realize what his actions have cost him.
Jack would never where that awful cardigan/sweater and those awful coloured pants. TPTB, please burn both of these items, I do not want to see him in those ever again. Seems like MA gotta hair cut and I am still not fond of this style. Jack looks so grandpa-ish :shame: ( the blue cardigan and henley have grown on me, just not these)
Abby and Jack scenes were okay, but didn't feel the big zing between them, as in previous scenes. KM seemed less expressive than usual. MA seemed like he was holding back, except had typical Jack mannerisms. Dialogue was good, as was their hug. Loved the JnJ parallel, Jen was Jack's intern.... Abby is Austin's assistant, mention of Jack meeting Jen when she was in college. So we can see that Abby thinks she has/had a chance with this guy. When Abby tells Jack something is in their way... Jack immediately says or 'someone'. He's still go it!!!!
Carrie and Austin in the Abby/Jack scenes seemed very awkward. I did not like this at all. Since when would Abby talk with Carrie, they had zero chemistry, icky all round. Abby probably hasn't seen Carrie in years, not a great match for a mentor talk or even woman to woman talk about relationship. I would have loved Hope in this role, as we know that Abby is not talking to Jennifer. How great would it have been if Abby confided in Hope about her boy problems and then Jen finds out, when Hope lets it slips. Abby kept eyeballing Austin...and Austin is shitting is pants, waiting for Abby to say something, came off pretty good. PM did a good job with this.

Given the crappy advice Hope has given Jen about Dan & Jack, I'd rather Abby confide in Julie or Marlena at this point.
And I hereby volunteer to shred the pants and sweater and burn the clippings.
Jack's wardrobe is horrible, but his scenes with Abigail are great. I'm actually enjoying bitchy Abby! Her looks towards Austin were totally cracking me up.
^Carrie doens't tell Abby anything, they do not have any real convo, just a few comforting hugs. Plot device, gone bad... not buying it. Maybe this convo was a set-up for a 2nd talk. Maybe next week, Abby will talk to Carrie once again and reveal that the guy is her husband. Does this not have to come out first, before CAFE can do the "DEED".
OMFG, why is Jack dressed like Mr. Rogers? LOL, Aunt Kayla is now the designated sitter of Sami's brood. :eyeroll: At least Sami found someone younger and more energetic to dump her children on.

I do not like these recent comments regarding Jack and Jen. They do not make any sense. Lexie and Austin both know Dr. D and Jennifer were a hot item. Do they just assume since Daniel left town, Jennifer chose Jack? Yes, it makes for consistent writing, but it doesn't fit the current SL. Did TPTB forget to send an internal memo to the writing team, Daniel left town and JnJ are still not together. Very confusing, if I say so myself.
