Sami dying on the Tony DiMera memorial pallet after going to Switzerland. (or whatever combination gets me Sami never EVER coming back...EVER...EVER...EVER!) SYDOLE. :wub: EJOLE baby in 2012. :wub: Alice and Steffy NEVER EVER had a secret! NO JONAS XMAS BALLS! DIE PIPPI! Beastsex never happened since the beast is swimming with Syd's bloody clothes. Johnny actually does die in that shooting. Bring back Steve and have more adventure SL. Redecorate EVERYTHING! A budget to buy real MUSIC! Longer scenes. ROMANCE! If I ran the show ...... I would end this triangle and have Jennifer choose Dan, its the best for all the storylines. Jennifer is being destroyed by this triangle and it isn't helping an already unpopular Dan so this would at least stop the bleeding. It would also add another layer to Jack's PTSD. Jennifer is his last thread to any sort of recognizable reality, what would happen if he lost that? Since his return he has been saying over and over that the thought of Jennifer gave him hope so what happens when he loses that hope? What does it do to his recovery? The best scenario would be for Dan and Jennifer to become How does Jennifer win us back? A very real breakdown of course! I would have a situation where Jennifer kisses Jack or even takes it a step further only to have Jack stop it out of respect for her and her marriage (this would be Daniel's comeuppance for Chloe/Lucas and have the Lucas fans cheering) of course some how it all gets made public and that causes Jennifer to have a breakdown. She would explain that this last time Jack left her it broke her and she couldn't handle ever losing him again so she tried to cut him out of her life, shut him out, anything to stop the hurt. She would say that all the times he walked away from her when they first met slowly chipped away at her heart (cue the bathtub scene) but after they were married she thought it healed then he left her and those hurts returned and when he came back once again she buried all those feelings but after Abby got sick and she read that note and got those divorce papers a piece of her died because he left her just like her mom and dad did and she realized that it was easy for people to walk away from her, that she wasn't good enough to keep them with her. Then after she moved on (I know we can't mention Peter)and Jack came back into her life she tried to stop loving him but she couldn't and then every time he left in Africa she was reminded that he did leave her once and that it was easy for people to do that to her so she took Abby and ran away before he could do it again. After everything that happened after they returned to Salem she started to believe it could be different because he seen her imperfections because she hurt him and yet he stayed so maybe it would work. But then she lost him, she believed he died more then once and she realized that losing him forever, never having him break through a window or save her on a cliff or surprise her when she least expected it but needed it was more then she could take and another piece of her died. Even when he came back that piece of her was lost so when it happened again when she thought he just so easily picked up and left her she had to close her heart and she filled it with hate and anger because otherwise she wouldn't be able to breath, to live. She wanted to be with Daniel because even if he walked away it wouldn't hurt her, it wouldn't break her heart because he never really had it. Why can't anyone love her enough to stay? Followed by lots of crying and .... |

If I were head writer or producer, first I would not have writers write episodes and others other episodes. I would have writers write for characters, and couples. Some writers are better writing or certain characters. So, get writers who are better writing for particular characters write for those. It would make for better understanding of characters, and it also would make for less of inconsistencies between days -- some writers seem to have a certain view and other writers other views. Stop the three months ahead. It leaves little room for damage control. Also, I am sure that TPTB want the actors to Twit what is being taped, but when it is for something THREE MONTHS in the future it really serves no purpose. Slowly cut down the time, and go back to one month ahead. They need to do do drastic changes with hair and wardrobe. Missy's hair really is not complimentary, SC looks like he is a bum most of the time on screen. Someone has to tell LK that the blue streak makes Kate look like a fool. And so on. I just cannot get into what most of the characters are wearing. Female characters and the male characters. You have a story with women who are in the beauty trade and they come off dressed pathetically. I am sure they can hit the stores and get something decent on sale, or make a deal with a designer or high end department store that they wear get a cut on the costs and advertise their stores or designer houses. I like that TPTB are going to go with real vets, real people dealing with the horrors of war, and PTDS. They should also team up with The Trevor Project, with their gay storyline. Advertise these stories, it might get folks watching who would not have watched DAYS or even soaps. |

Get rid of Melanie and Daniel. Break up Magstor, slowly but surely (not ruling out the possibility of a later hook-up, but as of now they're quite anticlimactic). Get rid of Quinn. Bring back Lucas. More Justin and Adrienne. End J/J/D triangle for god's sake. Use Julie, I miss Julie. Ditch the website stuff. Bring back Stephanie and Kayla. Involve Jack in the business/politics aspect of the show. Let Nicole be single for a while. |

EJ gets elected Mayor just as the deadbabysex thing and his part in the John/embezzlement scandal is revealed. EJ pays the price for his misdeeds Pregnant Nicole leaves EJ for RAFE Sami is in a car accident, hit by drunken Will, has amnesia and finds herself in a sanitarium & is ina straight jacket b/c she has a violent temper. Will is charged with her murder. Lucas returns to town to support Will and be there for Allie Austin is killed in a botched attempt on Jack's life Jack is accused of Austin's murder, and Jennifer is the only one that believes he's innocent Abby is devestated by Austin's death and her father's past, so she begins taking drugs Jennifer tries to hold her family together Dr. Dan leave town because he finds out Maggie is not his mother, he's EJ's twin brother John and Marlena help take care of heartbroken Carrie and Sami's kids Bo and Hope try search for Sami & try and help Jen prove Jack's innocence. Bo gets has a serious illness Madison loses her company to Kate and leaves town Brady is left with nothing, accept Billie knocking on his door |

No more insta-relationships. Only reunite J/J if it works. If not find someone interesting for Jack, but only if it works organically; or let him be on his own. The only two interesting young men are gay, we need a couple of straight guys and a Horton and two who are not related to anyone on the show so that there is no limitations for romantic pairings. Bring back some Hortons who are young. Bring back Bill Horton -- and use that as the crux of Jennifer's issues. Have him be Chief-of-Staff. Focus more on the hospital. Make John an Alamain again. And stick with that. Tie in the three stories, Jack's, John's and Alice's together. In May set for a summer adventure with various characters. |

I second this one. This is so obviously the way to play this story, but they never should have even had her date Jack. Arrrghh. Oh, I would love to see Jennifer wanting Jack and him putting the brakes on, though of course, he'd want it too. That would be paradise revisited. Matt, I want you to get started. I know it's been going on for a while now, but when did DAYS start taping 3 months ahead? I'd want to see: -more of Stefano (with him plotting his schemes) -actual staff in the DiMera "mansion" -more sets -Daniel and Melanie being killed off -more Doug and Julie -Bo having a real story about himself -big murder plot at a big event Edited by DaysForever, Dec 7 2011, 12:58 AM.

John and Marlena as the new Alice and Tom - pillars of support, but still involved in their own storyline TOGETHER. (I wouldn't be opposed to more J&M love scenes, also, but that's just me.) Chandler Massey as the new lynchpin and broken hero of this show - the 2010's answer to John Black of the 90s, if you will. As someone mentioned above, make John an Alamain, and stick with it. Bring back Shawn and Belle, and that adorable Claire. Acknowledge the inter-relation of different characters. Even if it's through adoption, John is Quinn's uncle. Let them have a scene discussing beloved Auntie Viv's craziness. Do something with Kate. Lauren Koslow is devoted to this show, and she's just amazing. Give her a storyline worthy of her talents - bring Lucas and Phillip back and allow her to mix it up with their girlfriends (without turning them into prostitutes.) Get Carrie with Rafe, stat. It's the only way he's ever going to be interesting. Leave Nicole on the side of the road somewhere. Her character is horrible. Bring Eileen Davidson back. Lose this stupid website storyline with the teen scene, and give them real storylines. Molly Burnett, Casey Diedrick, Freddie Smith, Kate Mansi and Chandler Massey are fantastic actors. Let the audience know why you hired them. Give Stefano his balls back, for God's sake. He's turned into a kitty cat. State could be the evil geniuses of Salem, but all Steffy does these days is worry for his kids and grandkids. More Matt Ashford... as a reporter, a politician, a shoe cobbler, I don't care. Sterilize Sami. She doesn't need anymore kids. And lastly, have Abe pass a city ordinance that Brady Victor Black is not allowed to be in Salem city limits with a shirt on. EJ and Will in a sexual relationship...just for the hotness factor! Sami written off with barely a goodbye scene...she just goes to drop the kids off and never comes back. Melanie written off in the same way. Just like all of her peers...maybe she goes to visit Blake Berris' character in prison and never comes back. Stefano kidnapping Marlena and John saving her. I know that has been done thousands of times, but I really loved those storylines. |

Jennifer gets multiple men fighting over her and in my SL Jack would get the womenfighting over HIM! :D Jonas family hitting the road out of Salem after being deHortoned. Return of Shane and Kim 3. No Alice secrets 4. JJ's Jeanie and Andrew Donovan's return- along with Joey (would say Steph but SH is not available) 5. Nick and Chelsea return TOGETHER 6Steve comes back after hearing about Tanman' advances on Kayla 7 Adventure and romance for S&K,J&J J&A BOPE Jarlena 8. EJ held accountable for his crimes but finds solice wiith Nicole and THEIR children Syd and new baby 9 No Abby and Austin romance 10 More Kate and Stefano or Bill 11. Returm of Lucas who raises HIS children 12. Lots of Will and Sonny 13. Rafe and CAustin tri and then "new" woman Sarah Horton comes back to town for Rafe but really she is Emily 14. Madison revealed as Sarah Horton 15 lots of friendships Jarlena Jack etc. 16. Quinn NOT being Vivian's son because it was stupid -possible romance with Abby Or Max returns for Abby( they were cute and NOT related). Loser ends up with Gabi or Chad ends up with Gabi. 17. MAGIC given something to do 18. Doug and Julie utilized more 19.Greta Von Ambourg revealed as Maggie's long lost child- who still loves Jack and Austin giving Caustin more story after Rafe leaves their orbit. 20. Eric returns for Greta and a triangle starts with them and Lucas but eventually someone comes to Salem looking for Lucas a girl from China and they end up together 21. I know only a few things, the rest I'd need to think about: John and Marlena would have a story. John would buy them a new house (the townhouse is dreadful). Marlena would be working, John would be working, and in the midst there's drama. They'd have the occasional fight and we'd SEE it. One of the clues that are found in this story about Alice/Stefano connection is that Marlena was pregnant when she disappeared in '87. With Bo and Hope's help, they try to find out more. I like the "working through Zack's death" thing for B&H, it's about time. So that neither can hold it over the other's head or use it as an excuse to turn away. Will would move in with John and Marlena at their new house. Jack continues therapy with Marlena, but they soon become best friends, sort of unwillingly. It just sort of happens naturally. Marlena is the tower of strength Jack needs, and when John disappears (kidnapped by Ian through Stefano), Jack is the one Marlena asks for help (since B&H would be too conspicuous, but they get in there eventually). Jack is an awesome professor, but he also gets caught up in this secret, unwillingly (when he helps Marlena find John). Jack starts a curious flirtation with Madison as it soon turns out Madison is part of Stefano's game. Abigail starts working with her dad, and sees the part of him that her mother fell in love with. Nicole would get pregnant, leave EJ after the truth comes out and suffer from pre-natal depression. She goes to counseling, finally dealing with all of her issues, owning up to mistakes, but also admitting that it's in her nature not to be one of the good guys. I like EJ and Nicole, I actually do, so I'd like for EJ to continue trying to work to win her back. I want the DiMera mansion to burn to the ground and I want Sami to die, but all I can think of is this: There's a big confrontation at the DiMera mansion regarding the Alice secret, where people nail Stefano to the wall. It's in Stefano's office. Upstairs, Madison and Sami have a fight that ends with Sami falling down the stairs. As this is happening, a black-clad creature is blocking the doors (Ian Buchanan perhaps?) and then sets the place on fire. Sami is lying unconscious on the floor as the house goes up in flames and Madison is pulled out by mystery creature before it even happens. The house is starting to collapse as the rest of them try to make it out. Daniel learns he does not have Maggie's illness, and leaves town with Melanie to become head surgeon somewhere else (I don't care where, just... be gone). Chad goes with them. I'd love for Sami to leave just like Jed Allen's Don Craig. He went to the mailbox... and then what? One of life's great mysteries. Even better? A Sami murder mystery! I also loved Steffy messing with John and Marlena. Oh, the 90s under JER. The single best decade for Days, IMHO. (sigh) |

If I ran the show, Lucas Sami Will and Allie would be a family and find out Johnny is Lucas's and Sydney is the Ejole baby. If I ran the show Ejole would be together. If I ran the show Rafe would be with Carrie. If I ran the show Roman would have a woman. If I ran the show Phil Chloe and Parker would come back. So would Shawn Belle and Claire and Jack jr. Theres more but Ill post again tomorrow. |

I love this idea. It would also help eliminate the idea that it's too hard to remember all that characters do, if people are responsible for certain ones. I love these threads in general, especially when I'm majorly apathetic about what's on screen right now (there's nothing to really get excited about, imho). For me...first thing I would do is reintroduce the concept of stakes. No kidnapping for an hour, hiding in the pub, on trial to get convicted and be released in 5 minutes, no threats to marriages that don't necessarily make sense to begin with. Real, actual, this-is-permanent stakes. So, someone important would have to die. And I feel like that would probably have to be either Sami or EJ, 'cause it has to be someone at the core, though it could also be one of the younger set. And it'd have to be brutal. Jack's PTSD- fine, whatever. But let's get that same attitude through everything. For example, Sami (until she dies, of course) should be absolutely obsessive about her children. That's her personality, first of all- she fixates on things after having an extreme emotional reaction. And secondly they all go missing a lot. Why not play that? Which...I think I'd aim for a bit more consistency when it comes to things of that nature. Jack is reacting to what happened to him. But does anyone else, really (and admitting your feelings for a friend doesn't count, imho)? Why not, I dunno, have everyone react to the shit that goes on. I would drop the business bullshit. Days to me isn't really about business (the story so far clearly isn't, imho), and it doesn't always jive for me, the realism of having jobs with the total fantasy of, say, having your kid disappear for a day. I mean...when are they working? How much vacation time do they get? These are the kinds of questions I get when they try to inject this kind of reality into the show. But then, I'm more about the fantasy of soaps anyway. They're all fucking rich (well, sort of since they all share living spaces with a lot of people). I say, let's move on. Not really show related, but I would boot all the actors off Twitter/Facebook and put the characters on in their places. People seem to love that stuff, they might just be willing to follow conversations or tweet back to characters in a way that changes the nature of engagement with the show. And you never know with those media, something could get picked up by the mainstream and generate some publicity. Oh, and Celeste would be back. I'd work to make foreshadowing a part of the show itself (and in the tweets from characters) instead of spoilers, previews, interviews with writers/producers; etc. Plus I frickin' love her. Mini-plots might also flow from this to lay foundation. Last thing - not so many secrets to unravel on-screen. I like knowing the secret. So I'd pace it a little more quickly on that front with things like John's whatever-the-fuck and Kate's plan to take out Madison. There's a lot of fun to be had in watching things unfold without the mystery element, imho. |
