I really only have one issue with the nominations. Well, maybe two. It annoys me that Days did so well in the younger category when they've got such a snoozefest of a younger generation. But my real issue is with CC's nomination. I thought she SUCKED during that stupid drug storyline. She was good the year before, IMO, but her final months on the show were awful.
I totally agree with this. Something about her performance really turned me off. I don't think she deserves to get nominated.

I cannot believe La Lucci wasn't nominated one last time for her performance on AMC last year!

CC is a gr8 actress but what Higly wrote for her was just awful, awful, awful. IA, It doesn't garner anything in my mind except piss-poor storylines & bad writing. I liked she was nominated but it didn't deserve it at all bc her last months were really bad.

SUPPORTING ACTRESS
1. Julie Marie Berman, GH
2. Nancy Lee Grahn, GH
3. Rebecca Herbst, GH
4. Debbi Morgan, Y&R
5. Arianne Zucker, DAYS
Winner : Rebecca Herbst, GH
Spoiler : Debbi Morgan, Y&R

Julie and Debbie are not going to get nominated, IMO.

I can think of others on that list who had stronger material. I can see Debbie in the lead category.
Its been proven nearly every year that the voters are in love with JMB. She can get nominated or win for almost anything. I think she's a good actress, but I think she's won for Younger Actress when she didn't really deserve to win over other people. That's why I think she will get nominated again.

Debbi Morgan apparently has a fantastic reel so I'm going with her. There are more deserving people especially since Debbi has hardly done anything as Harmony, but its just based off one episode and not a full body of work so I think she has a nomination down. Might even win. I don't think it should be legal for her to be nominated in two different categories for two different shows, but it is. I think she has lead actress in the bag, but that is a tough category. Different voters for different categories though so being nominated twice won't hurt or help her case.

I don't think CC did that great during that storyline either, especially knowing her potential. It seemed like she was going wayyyy over the top and that's not really something that she normally does. I have heard that James Scott didn't get nominated because his reel was too over the top, but if that's the case Chappell definitely shouldn't have been pre-nominated. That is a powerhouse category this year and Susan Lucci and Florenica Lozano (who would be my pick to win it all) got hosed completely. I guess they aren't as popular with the other actors either A) because they're jealous of Lucci's fame or B) FL hasn't worked on 5 shows so she gets screwed every year.

The only reason I predicted Chappell getting a final nod is because she made it this far undeservingly so people must be seeing something that I am not. Plus she's super popular with actors and voters. Thankfully actors don't have a say in the final nominations because they ruin everything.

Who are these people in love with Julie? LOL. She's a good actress, but I don't think she has squat to sumbit. She was good in the younger category when she had to go up against actress who had the talent of Yvonne Zima.

DM has a fantastic reel? Her getting yelled out for putting her finger in the sugar bowl does not count. She hasn't really done anything on Y&R. They are in the process of building her storylines. DM and JBM won't get to the nomination process.

  Talent of Yvonne Zima~ Too funny LPS bc she has NO talent.

Debbi reels would come from AMC & the babyswitch storyline mainly. She hasn't done anything emmy worthy on Y&R yet.

I don't think anyone is seen anything special. CC has worked on multiple soaps, on multiple networks, and has a websoap that casts soap actors. He hasn't been getting pre-nommed because Days wasn't that invested her. Now that she's easily able to throw her name in herself, she can get further because of who she knows. It's the same game as always, IMO. I just don't like the idea of her getting recognition for such a bad year when her other years were better. She still wouldn't have gotten my vote last year, but I think it'd have been more deserved then.

Lmao, I totally missed that Nadia got a nomination. I really like Nadia, but I think her nomination is further proof that this is not about acting talent.

Wow, congratulations Matt Ashford, and this guy is lucky to get one day of airtime per week on DAYS - Corday really is clueless.

Ashford submitted the scenes where Jack breaks down in Marlena's townhouse after revealing he had been tortured in Afghanistan

Good choice! Those scenes were hearbreaking!

Henning did not summit the break up screens, she summited. Molly Summited breaking down at the Kirkis Masion with Daniel after the truth came out. Mansi summited telling Jack off about being gone. Chandler summited the break up screen with Will and Gaby. Casey summited telling EJ off over the way he treats Sami.

This is a confusing sentence. What did she submit? Also, do you have a full list of all reels anywhere?

Hennig DID submit the break-up scenes.

Thanks for the other submissions.

Most of it has leaked out from people who have seen the reels.

I'd put JCW and KM from B&B as the top contenders for younger actress. They carried that show last year.
I have to disagree. Matula is a decent actress with a shot, even though I hate the character of Hope. However, I think Wood is one of the worst younger actresses in daytime. She fits in with the B&B cast and their standards, but she's nowhere near talented enough to be a top contender in the younger actress category. There are several actresses from the other shows that have her beat in the talent department.
That subjective. B&B's talent with sf, kkl, ht, dd, sc and others is as good IMO as any other

As for all the cries for Lexi Ainsworth, Emily O'Brien a far better actress than Lexi lost last year and got fired after years of crappy story and material on Y&R.
This! The extremely overhyped ainsworth doesnt deserve to win for anything. the abuise storyline was horrible written and typical gh emmy bait and she did nothing special in it. the keifer actor outshined her. and last year as kristina she did nothing but shriek at the top of her lungs about being an adult and dress like an escort
