I don't know how I had never heard of this show until now, but it looks great! And any comedy series starring JLD really is a must. |

I think this show was originally planned for Fall as HBO cancelled a lot of its fall comedies this year, so I was also surprised to see it starting next month too. |

This was awesome. Its like a political version of Arrested Development (which isn't unexpected given it has a lot of the same people involved behind and in front of the screen). Thats Anna Chlumsky? She grew up good! |

I thought it was godawful. And I LOVE her. And most of the cast. Maybe it will get better. |

Did you not laugh at lines like: "Senator ABC at 2 O'clock" "I'm not a sniper" Or the situational humor when Selena is explaining why she hired that guy repeatedly "I need a shit" and then the office door opens. No? Just me? |

I did laugh at the sniper quip, but that was about it. I tried to find it funny, I truly did. And this is coming from someone who thinks Arrested Development is the best show ever. I just felt like they were all trying to hard. Or something. |

I think you nailed it. It's like things are telegraphed, there's a pause to give space for a laugh but it's just...it doesn't feel like authentic awkwardness, imho. |

The first episode gelled for me at the end. I really loved it, but the beginning was roughhhhh. I really wasn't sure I'd like it. I hope episode 2 is better. I LOVE JLD. She's absolutely fantastic. |

I still think this show is the shizz. The one-liners crack me up. |
