Gabi thinks Chad wants to ditch Melanie, but instead, he asks for Gabi’s help to arrange a romantic scene at his place so that he can surprise Melanie. “From Chad’s perspective, his relationship with Gabi is completely platonic,” notes Casey Jon Deidrick. “What better way is there to set up a nice evening with his girlfriend than to ask one of his best friends to help plan ahead for him?” Alone at Chad’s, Gabi, creates a cozy setting with flowers and champagne. But her temper gets the best of her and she breaks a framed photo of Melanie. After she leaves, Gabi rips the picture into tiny pieces. Later, Melanie arrives at Chad’s place and is swept away. “Chad is very romantic,” smiles Molly Burnett. They spend the night making love. The next morning, he gives her a robe to keep at his place. “They’re definitely falling in love,” offers Burnett. Source: FL

Let's pretend Gabi was a male friend. Would he really be all, "Hey bro, go make my apartment all sexy so I can get some later." I just...I don't imagine that happening. So for him to do it with Gabi is bizarre, and I kind of want her to destroy him. Not out of psycho lust; just 'cause it's an odd, asshole-y thing for Chad to do.
