Jonathan Jackson broke my heart with the Jake Storyline. I love MA, but JJ will probably win. |

Yes he probably will and even with all the people that will be upset about it I still wouldn't question it because like you said he was amazing during that story. JJ is a fantastic actor and I personally don't question any of his awards. He's deserved them all but I wouldn't mind seeing someone else get one. |

I think its a little unfair that Jonathan Jackson submitted himself as "Supporting." Although GH is the Sonny and Jason show and they are obviously the "Leading Men" Jonathan Jackson had as much air time as any person on the show. Maybe he didn't want to go against Maurice Benard and Tony Geary and I guess that makes sense but he was not a supporting character last year. I think JJ is deserving of another Emmy...he put in some absolutely heartbreaking work during Jake's death and I definitely won't be mad or upset if he does win (which is almost a given). BUT I am really pulling for Matt Ashford or Jason Thompson. Thompson's reel was very understated and I think he shines in it. Also KMc does a nice job and its always good to have someone in your reel that is putting in great work. I actually think out of the 3 that Matt Ashford's is probably tied for 2nd with Jason Thompson's, but for sentimental reasons I really want MA to win an Emmy. He did great work but for me its more about acknowledging how much he has meant to DAYS and how great and under-appreciated he has been the whole time he's been in daytime. Really the only thing that would piss me off would be if Bradford Anderson (who I love) or Sean Blakemore (doesn't deserve it) win. I'll have my fingers crossed for Matt though. My picks for the 39th Annual Daytime Emmys Outstanding Drama Series All My Children Days of Our Lives General Hospital The Young & The Restless -----ONE LIFE should've been nominated, DISGRACEFUL. Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Crystal Chappell, Days of Our Lives Debbi Morgan, All My Children Erika Slezak, One Life to Live Heather Tom, The Bold & The Beautiful Laura Wright, General Hospital ------wish Debbi & Erika could tie, but If I had to choose one I'd choose Debbi Morgan since she's NEVER won Best Actress and Erika has won a record number of times. It's a shame in a way that Crystal is nominated, even though she did awesome work in the addiction story. Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Maurice Benard, General Hospital Anthony Geary, General Hospital John McCook, The Bold & The Beautiful Darnell Williams, All My Children Robert S. Woods, One Life to Live -----Hope Darnell wins, if not Bob Woods, but predict Anthony Geary will win again. Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Melissa Claire Egan, All My Children Genie Francis, The Young & The Restless Nancy Lee Grahn, General Hospital Elizabeth Hendrickson, The Young & The Restless Rebecca Herbst, General Hospital -----Herbst DEFINITELY deserves it. Egan if not her. I hate the dissing of Genie Francis(notice the correct spelling, lol), she's doing a good job on Y&R. Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Bradford Anderson, General Hospital Matthew Ashford, Days of Our Lives Sean Blakemore, General Hospital Jonathan Jackson, General Hospital Jason Thompson, General Hospital ------Blakemore should NOT be nominated, probably not Anderson either. AGREED that Michael E. Knight(Tad, AMC) should've and should've won too. Jackson did AWESOME work, should still be on the show. Thanks GH for the crappy story after...can we say Siobhan and Siobhan's ghost and back on drugs crapola. Thompson's year is next year with the outstanding work after Robin's "Death". Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series Molly Burnett, Days of Our Lives Shelly Hennig, Days of Our Lives Christel Khalil, The Young & The Restless Jacque MacInnes Wood, The Bold & The Beautiful -----Agreed Kate Mansi(Abigail, DAYS) should've been nominated. Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series Eddie Alderson, One Life to Live Chad Duell, General Hospital Chandler Massey, Days of Our Lives Nathan Parsons, General Hospital -----Chandler deserves it with the Will Is Gay storyline and the confrontations with Sami & EJ. Duell if not Massey. Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team The Bold & The Beautiful General Hospital One Life to Live The Young & The Restless Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team All My Children Days of Our Lives General Hospital The Young & The Restless ----ONE LIFE should've been nominated for this as well. Although ABC's General Hospital has the most nominations, if based on past year's winners is any indication, it will be the CBS shows that take home the most gold (at least in the acting categories). Here is a synopsis of how the three networks have fared over the last five ceremonies from 2007 to 2011: #1 CBS: 19 ACTING WINS #2 ABC: 10 ACTING WINS #3 NBC: 2 ACTING WINS Only Tamara Braun and Darin Brooks have won acting trophies for NBC over the past five years. |

DAYS end FETCH NOW!

DAYS' previous acting win before Tamara Braun (ex-Ava) in Supporting Actress in 2008 was in 1988 when Billy Warlock (ex-Frankie) won Younger Actor. Since DAYS won in 1988, they have won only two acting awards since then, so two acting awards in 23 years. |

HaHa, sorry but I can't give my stamp of approval for any Days of Our Lives wins. #1 After watching it for ten years, gave up on it in 1987 (before it went to hell in a hand basket) #2 Look at their history of winning in the acting categories (or should I say lack thereof) |

It's kind of funny how the two people who have won acting award for Days in the past 23 years were not even on Days of Our Lives anymore when they won. Hopefully this will increase the chances for Shelley Hennig and Matthew Ashford. |

Shelley Hennig unquestionably deserves the win, none of the other reels in her category come close to matching her performance. |

I'll be so annoyed if Chad Duell wins. He's had a few good scenes, but the guy is not consistently good. He's either really good or REALLY bad. Chandler's done a far better job this year. I didn't watch enough of OLTL to be a judge of Eddie Alderson's talent. My friend watched that show, and didn't particularly like him, but I've seen a lot of people online show love for him. So I really have no clue. Regardless, I'm team Chandler Massey all the way, and I'll be thoroughly devastated if anyone else wins! |

What does that have to do with anything? They have some really talented actors. I think everyone can agree the show sucks ass, but that does not mean its cast does not deserve recognition... AT ALL. So completely disagree. |

I dont think they deserve it. I have in the past, but their performances over the last few years have been pretty subpar, IMO, and it pisses me off that they have a better chance now that they suck than they did when they were actually deserving. |

I don't agree. Chandler, Matt and Shelley all gave amazing performances with their respective materials! |
