Haven't cared about this show since they stopped airing from Las Vegas YEARS AGO. Plus, it no longer seems to be a visual representation of Billboard magazine's December year-end double issue which rewards the artists, songs and albums that achieved the highest chart rank and longevity for that calendar year.
Nowadays it's a sad knock-off of The American Music Awards and Nickelodeon's Teen Choice Awards. And it's held mid-year, the lamest time of the year for an award's show. Casey Kasem (associated with Billboard throughout the 1970's and all of the 1980's) is somewhere crying.
