Please Link back to Daytime Royalty.. Thanks.. :D Christine warns Cane that if he doesn’t testify against his mother and reveal the source of Genevieve’s money, he will be deported. It’s truly a dilemma because the prospect of sending his mother to prison is much harsher fate for her than he would want. This is very extreme punishment that is on the table for her has him really troubled. He would, of course choose his wife and kids, but it’s still a struggle. Lily is willing to move to Australia if Cane gets deported, but he doesn’t want to tear her away from the family. Also Cane doesn’t want his family in Australia because of the history. As Cane ponders his next move, Genevieve promises to turn over her financials to Christine if Cane is left alone. Chris agrees and Genevieve presents all of their business records. Genevieve really steps up. This is an instance where she makes the unselfish choice that you would expect a mother to make, but it is unexpected for Genevieve. She has definitely shown us that she can be a very hard person, thought ere is something more to her and here we see it. This money was mad by Colin in illegal ways, so Genevieve has basically handed over a blueprint on how to put her behind bars; that’s why this is such a big deal for her. Genevieve summons he son to Glowworm, where Christine informs Cane that he’s off the hook because his mother has cooperated. At first Cane does leap to the assumption that Genevieve has got something her sleeve but he quickly realized that she made a tremendous sacrifice in going to continue to reverberate for Cane moving forward. Genevieve learns her fate, this won’t be a slap on the wrist, and the punishment is going to really hurt. |

Who cares? Cane has no reason to be upset with his mother for anything. He is one of the biggest liars and con artists to ever hit GC. |
