^^ I guess it's because that is not my only litmus test, this idea of "forcing" on any or both sides. That EJ got physical like that at all bothered me - it wasn't necessary in order to make his point, and that he resorted to it was tantamount, for me, to a petulant kid needing to throw things because his words are an insufficient form of expression. And that is not the case at all for EJ; his words are his currency. So that he did anything like that made him look foolish to me, and read like a kind of bully behavior. Maybe bully isn't the completely right term exactly, but that behavior bothered me to see. And though Will might like working for EJ and willingly comes back from more, I want to see him give back at least as good as he is getting (esp. in light of such incidences), b/c he hasn't in my eyes yet. Maybe Will doesn't mind the treatment, but I do, and I want Will to assert himself some more, because what he has done so far hasn't impressed me too much. That's all - I want to see the playing field even out a little, as much as it can given Will's relative inexperience playing this blackmail/manipulation game, and given that he is EJ's subordinate. It's not a matter of force, it's just a matter of relative balance. That's all.

I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion, but I would love to see a sexual relationship between Will and EJ. Yes, EJ is straight and that doesn't have to change - straight men are known to fool-around with other men at times. EJ could bascially use Will for the sex, and Will puts up with it because of his unreciprocated crush/lust/love. The ultimate in controlling someone. Gay man in love with straight man. Oldest story in the book, but would work perfectly for these two characters and create amazing soapy drama and fallout.
I don't know any straight men who fools around with other men..that's a contradiction..
I don't, either. If a man "fools around" with other men, he is not "straight". He is bi-sexual or gay.

Call it bullying; call it a "father-son" relationship, call it love; but EJ smacking Will around and making him say, "How high?" is not pleasant to see and does not look a whit like mentoring. It looks like a stronger person pushing a weaker one around. Maybe if EJ did not have such a penchant for choking women but hiring out his violence against men it would not seem so much like bullying.

I don't like seeing Will take it and hold out hope that it's all to take the man who has decimated his family down to the ground.
sort of like what Ej does to Will's mom, which is sick and disturbing of itself. Ej is older and he raped his mother. It was not a deal, bc that would make Sami a prostitute and she is not that. Ej should not be anywhere near Sami or Will. Its sick to even suggest imho. For Will and Ej to have sex imho would make Ej more of a pervert than Dr. Dan, and that is saying something. Will is a child and Ej needs to steer clear of him. I am simply stating my thoughts and those thoughts are this: Ej needs to stay away from not only Sami but Will as well.

The only deeper feelings Ej may have for Sami are obsession and control. Thats not romance imho its just sick.

Gabi is faced with an impossible decision
With Gabi, it's probably something like whether she should have milk, cream or half and half with her coffee. The level of pointlessness of her character knows no bounds.

Even though it is not what I watch soaps for, if Will has to be with anyone, then let it be Sonny. Sonny truly seems to care for him and be concerned about what he is getting himself into. Ej does not care about Will, he only wants to use him for his own selfish purposes, Ej is always about himself. He is never about any one else.

Hey, now, that's important. All of that can, to quote Camila Banus, either be good for her or be bad for her.

It's only unpopular to me because of who the characters are. This man has an on & off again thing with the younger man's mother. That is off the fucking charts disturbing. Now if Will were to have a fling with a straight guy closer to his own age who his mother doesn't have children with who he has helped take care opf their whole lives. ...ok.

If EJ hadn't fathered two children by Will's mother, then I might be able to get on board with it. Relationships like that might work for Woody Allen; but I couldn't support it between these two characters.

Exactly the reason they should go there - Drama. It is wrong on so many levels. This show plays it too safe all the time, which is why it is boring!
i agree that the show plays it too safe at times...But this is not the way to blow something out the box drama-wise. My opinion anyway...but :puke:

It's not an unpopular opinion with me, NOT AT ALL. I enjoy the kind of drama that's created as the result of shows REALLY taking chances. And EJ/Will would definitely qualify.

a kept woman maybe. a prostitute no. That is taking sex for money. Sami has not done that. The apartment could also be considered part of the child support owed for those two kids Ej does not deserve. You shouldn't have a child with the woman where there has been any question of forced sex.

I tuned in last week to see Lexie's last days, and :sheep: Celeste and Cameron suck!

I hope Cameron's "good news" is that a certain late night host is looking for his missing son and wants him to leave Salem forever and come back home....

... and that nuCeleste follows to make sure he makes it there safely.

I have one thing to say. Gabi, it isn't an impossible decision just have Andrews fine behind kill Melanie and throw her annoying ass in whatever body of water Salem happens to have that week. As for the rest so far all I can say is BORED *in Penny's voice from Big Bang Theory.*

Assuming Gabi's decision is whether to come clean about hiring Andrew to stalk her because he's kidnapped Melanie or to keep quiet, that is not an impossible situation. I'm not even sure if Gabi has committed a crime. All she's done is hire someone to facilitate her lies to her friends and family. She's gone out of her way not to report the falsehoods to the police. She's done wrong, but nothing illegal.

If she finds out Andrew had committed the serious crime of kidnapping Melanie, she's not on the hook for anything but being stupid if and only if she reports Andrew right away. Maybe minor fraud if I've missed something, but I don't think so. But if she keeps quiet, she's an accessory.

There's no moral dilemma here, and not a whit of precedence to suggest Gabi is THAT big of a psycho or even a coward to let Andrew carry on.

Gone, But Not Forgotten!

I like Cameron for Abby, he seems very down to earth, intelligent, caring-- I would agree that his character needs further development. CY needs to set it up with his performance, hopefully the writing wiil get beetter, so I can still give him a chance.
I don't want DAYS to ship off new characters and add new insta loves. TPTB need to stick with Cameron and finish the SL. You can see Abby and Cameron's relationhip building, so I want it continued. I bet his "good news' is that he got a permanent job at the hospital, so he is not leaving Salem any time soon. Cameron is definitely going to be around for whatever "Abby's danger" is going to be and I'd like to see him be the one to help save her.

Changing positions.

Rafe and Spencer realize they can’t directly confront EJ about their suspicions so Rafe simply dares Elvis to take a lie detector test. After the cops leave, William shows up and finds his boss acting frazzled. When EJ leaves him alone, Will discovers the paternity test sticking out of its hiding spot and actually reads it this time. He shoves it in his pocket as EJ returns and reminds him that he’s the top in their relationship. Will wanders off, sticks the evidence in a safe and then returns to Casa DiMera to tell EJ their relationship is about to change. He reveals that he knows he is not Stefano’s legitimate heir and holds all of the proof to out him. He demands that EJ give him back his loft, his car and all of his power. He wants Elvis to teach him everything he knows and make him a man. Just to make things clear, William happily tells him that he’s all his now. At first, EJ refuses to give him an inch. However, by the end of the day, he agrees to Will’s idea that he should take the polygraph test.

Sami bumps into her sister and notices she’s pregnant. Furious that no one told her earlier, she has a tantrum and suggests that Rafe must be the father. Marlena tries to calm the feuding siblings but that only makes things worse. Sami storms off to tear into Rafe. He insists he’s never knocked up anyone. Elvis walks by just in time to hear this. EJ fumes. Rafe tries to talk his way out of it and then advises Sami to keep her son away from Elvis. The cop walks off and runs into Carrie. She just went to an ultrasound with Austin where she vowed that she would be totally committed to their marriage. They resist their passion for each other, but it’s really hard for Rafe and he almost jumps into her arms. He pulls back and promises to keep his distance. She goes home and tries having sex with Austin to get her mind off of the other man. That doesn’t go too well. She runs into the cop again and tells him she’s having a hard time being with Austin, who just happens to walk in on their conversation.

Nicole is surprised to find that Daniel slept beside her all night. They have brunch and try getting to know each other better. That mostly consists of her quizzing him about his habit of sleeping with his patients. They don’t know what to call what they have. The doctor hides in her room when Rafe drops by to check on her. Once she’s alone with Daniel again, he tells her he won’t be anyone’s back-up plan. This leads to more lusty staring.

Trapped in captivity, Mel discovers that she has a not-so-secret admirer. Andrew has become smitten with his yapping captive. She chucks tea in his face and tries to run so he knocks her out. Chad’s still clueless about where she is. Gabi calls Andrew to hurry up and do another stalker routine to keep Chad clinging to her. Andrew slips up and tells Gabi that he’s holding her rival captive. He calms her down and warns her that she’s implicated in the whole mess. She agrees to take advantage of the situation.

Brady comes down off his latest high and tries to convince Madison that Ian has been doping him up. She leaves for a meeting and he sneaks out to score some drugs. When he gets them, he manages to resist temptation. When he tells Madi this later, she doesn’t believe him. Meanwhile, Kate is still skeptical of Ian’s insistence that he hasn’t been drugging Brady. And Abby and Cam go for a picnic with Kayla, Abe and the kids. Abby hears Kayla talking about breaking up with Steve. The women confide in each other. Abby tells Kay about her feelings for Cameron as Cam tells Abe about his feelings for Abigail.

Yep - this all looks like one giant yawn. There's pretty much no movement on any story the entire week. The EJill stuff could be fun...but that's about it.
