I agree! The begginning was interesting because we understood exactly what was going on. It made perfect sense that Will hated EJ and despised his mum for having slept with the enemy, the man who has done so many bad things to his family to the point that both his mum and Will himself attempted to kill him. We understood that Will wanted to leave town and saw a perfect way of getting the money to do so, by blackmailing EJ. I saw why EJ blackmailed him right back and why he wanted Will to work for him, because the first job he gave Will to do was to steal information from Abe and I could understand why he would need Will to do that. I assumed that, because Abe knows Will and trusts him, that it would be so much easier for someone like Will to steal the information EJ wanted and it was obvious that it was easy for Will because nobody paid much attention to Will as he hung around Abe's computer. Apart from the stealing of Abe's idea, we have seen nothing further that Will has done for EJ. He sends him to do errands but we don't know what kind of errands and most of it does not sound that complicated. He was specific about Will hacking into the hospital computers but, we heard nothing further as to whether he was successful and what information he founed. It started getting confusing when,The next thing we know is that EJ has become Will's confidant and EJ starts giving Will advice. Then Will's over the top reaction for losing his job and all his perks being taken away and being all upset that he lost EJ's trust. When exactly did Will's feelings towards EJ change. All we know is that one minute he hated EJ and the next minute he wants to murder someone because EJ was upset with him. Maybe if they showed what exactly Will does for EJ then we could have understood what it was about working for EJ that Will loved so much. As it stands we really don't know because in their scenes they just do a lot of talking we really don't see any action. Then next we have EJ bailing out Will and blackmailing him once again for Will to continue working for him. This makes no sense to me. Why does EJ want Will to work for him. What exactly can Will do for EJ that his other workers cannot do for him. EJ orders him to come whenever he calls and tells him to do something but once again we really have no idea what task he gives him that only Will alone can do and no one else, and if it is more convenient for him to have Will carry out the task, then they should tell us why. To me, it seems that all this EJ bailing out Will etc. is just contrived to get Will and EJ in scenes together and logic is thrown out the window. It leaves me questioning why does this grown man want to hang around a teenager, and why does Will continue to put up with EJ ordering him around considering the amount of people and who the people are that he is related to in Salem. EJ is so outnumbered. And has will got a crush on EJ. They should give EJ someone his own size to contend with, not teenagers. |

Thank you! Ej does not belong in scenes with teenagers, especially not the son of the woman he tormented. |

:sarcasm: Since the writers have given viewers EJill, why not also give us Luhnny (Lucas/Johnny) or Rohhny (Rafe/Johnny)? Why not let either Rafe or Lucas pick up the slack with little Johnny to help him find out what type of person he wants to be? After all, one is technically his stepdad and the other could possibly be soon... It makes about as much since as the other to this fan... Edited by angie37, Jun 24 2012, 09:03 AM.

The only thing that that i think will completely destroy even the slightest relationship Will and EJ have is if Sonny gets hurt and I think the pieces are in place for that to happen. Sonny is going to grow deeper and deeper concerned about Will's involvement. I am willing to bet that Will blows off Sonny's concerns :shame: . Since the Olympic cliffhanger is probably Stefano related with lots of people getting hurt and dying, I bet Sonny gets hurt and probably at Will's expense. I also loved the Will and EJ dynamic at first but it has become overkill, redundant and just disgusting. I still can't stand the fact we see Will sharing more scenes with EJ than his own father. And EJ giving him and Sami advice on Will being gay when that should have been Sonny and his family :soapbox: . |

Ok I need some help I read at tv source that carrie reveals to Rafe that she isn't sure she can stay with Austin. Does anyone know if that happens this week when they admit they miss each other and nearly kiss. Gag me. Or does she reveal that to Rafe WK July 2nd? I hope it's not WK July 2nd cause that Tuesday July 3rd Carrie and Austin bond over their baby when they hear the heartbeat. But DR posted pics of July 2nd and there's a pic unforunately of Carrie and Rafe sitting on bench in HS.. Wondering what they are talking bout in that pic? Ya know? But I know Carrie and Rafe talk this wednesday bout how they have missed each other puke. I just don't want Caustin bonding over their child July 3rd then that be ruined by Carrie revealing to Rafe she isn't sure she can stay with Austin ya know? If Carrie has to tell Rafe this I rather that happen this week before Caustin bond over their baby's heart beat the following week. So does anyone know what week this happens? |

It was exactly that, contrived just to have them interact after the firing and to have EJ pay his bail. But it was contrived because they work so well together. EJ's not interacting with teenagers. He's interacting with his employee Will who is an adult. Who is also the older brother of his children. They are connected for life through Johnny and Sydney. Just like EJ and Chad scenes isn't EJ slumming it with the teenager, but interacting with his brother. EJ and Will's relationship has gotten a lot of positive attention from the media. There's no interview either of them do that they don't get asking about it. Chandler and James both praise and enjoy the relationship and the interaction to brings for their characters. They click and work well together whether blackmailing or something else. It is a soap opera, complex soapy relationships are what soaps are about. Will obviously wants to be like him, looks up to him. EJ sees him as a moldable young man that he can mentor to be like him. |

I don't think that anything you are seeing now on screen really matters. Caustin's story has been rewritten and they are leaving together the week of the 16th. If that makes you feel any better. |

I am not debating whether or not EJ and Will are good in scenes. Basically what I am saying is that I am no longer enjoying thier story, because it all seems obviously contrived. I want the story they are telling us to make sense. The characters should continue to act in character and if for some reason that they do act out of character give us a good reason for it. Just because people like them in scenes is not a good enough reason to overload us with EJ and Will. Will has a father, let us see them building their relationship as well. fair play should be in order. Will has had more scenes with EJ than he has had with his own dad. The audience want to see that relationship being built with Lucas as well. Will may be an adult but EJ is probably 18 years older. He looks eihteen next to EJ and my question was what exactly does EJ need Will for. He has got employees to do all his dirty work. This is not a matter of Will coming to EJ for a job and he offered him one, EJ has blackmailed him again to continue working for him and the writers are not telling us why, and what exactly Will can do for EJ that his other employees can't. Because they are now showing them so often and I no longer understand the relationship between the two after the over the top way that Will acted over losing EJ's trust, this story then remains open to interpretation. If they showed EJ more with other guys in his own age group then it would not look so obvious that this grown man is hanging out with someone who is half his age. Also if they gave us a good reason why he needs Will in particular to work for him, it would not look as bad either. It would also be a hell of lot more entertaining to see Will iin action doing somthing that he shouldn't (jobwise). As I said before, the only time when we saw him do anything was in the early part of this story. I also do not think that their relationship is complex. It's puzzling but not complex. This blackmail story started with Will hating EJ which was in character, and believable after all the things that EJ has done to his family, so what changed. Is his affections so easily bought with a free apartment, car and a job. Maybe he has a crush on EJ with his good looks, smooth talk and all that money. Will is Lucas son and Lucas is on canvas why are they having EJ of all people mentoring Will. Yes I get it, so that they can have more Will and EJ scenes. |

The EJILL debate is hilarious. I think EJILL is so popular because their relationship has been well written and developed. The changing dynamics make sense. Will not only loves the perks & the power, but also the independence that EJ provided for him. EJ treats Will like an adult. Due to his association with EJ, Will has become more confident and happy. Will said at first he didn't want to work for EJ, but came to love it. I love that there was a transition from "hate" to "love" and it makes sense that Will was so upset when EJ fired him. Will had a lot going on in his life and EJ provided an outlet for Will. Will benefitted greatly from his association with EJ and I think EJ also enjoys the kinship. Plus Will has a natural dark side to him and with EJ he is able to tap into that side a bit more. I love dark Will too. They threaten/blackmail each other to try to get more control, but there's also a dependency between the two. This is why EJILL have a complex relationship- there's different layers. I love that you don't know what's going to happen next or if there's going to be scenes where they're getting along, working together, scheming, threatening each other, or whatever. You know what you're going to get when Will has scenes with most other characters. So the EJILL dynamic is just more engaging to watch. I don't want to see EJILL get along all the time, though I enjoy the tender moments and when they're working together, but I want to see some angst too. I can see more betrayals, fights, and blackmail. But at the same time, see them supporting and protecting each other. I could be wrong but I get the impression that haters of EJILL are basing their opinions based on other relationships. Lumis are jealous of the father/son type bond between EJILL, WilSon fans either want all of Will's storylines revolved around Sonny or don't like that the EJILL chemistry gets so much attention, and both Lumi & Ejoles see EJILL as an EJAMI connection. Does that sound about right or no? I view EJILL as their own entity/dynamic and have a great consistent storyline that is fun to watch. I love that there's so much buzz and support for EJILL too! I hope Days is smart enough to keep writing for this popular and awesome dynamic duo! |

I don't like the EJ/Will relationship as it has been written simply at face value, not at the desire of different relationships. It has never made sense that there has ever seemed to be genuine trust and love between them, especially considering how this aspect of the relationship began. It reminds me of the Kate/Stefano marriage, which also became quite popular, but we, the audience, never got to see the shift from blackmail and hate to mutual adoration and love. It just happened. At least with Stefano and Kate, there was history with which to fanwank. By all accounts, Will has no reason to come to love EJ and it would have behooved the show and the writers to make the relationship complex by keeping their mistrust but having them enjoy the game, so to speak. What they have now is not complex. What they have now makes no sense. Will should have been trying to play EJ all along to undermine him and get back at him not only for what he did to Will's parents, but also for holding onto information on Will shooting EJ for YEARS. Considering how full of self-loathing Will was when he tried to blackmail EJ, despite the positive outlet EJ gave him, the writers could have easily given the relationship enough complexity that Will was a little less than grateful because of the circumstances. And if the relationship was going to shift, it would have been perfect for Will to develop a crush that he hates on EJ. That would make it make sense, at least, that he wants to appease EJ and be in his good graces...but he should also struggle with it. It shouldn't be his singular goal.

EJill is potentially great. The chemistry between CM and JS is explosive. As with everything on this show, however, the writing is throwing dynamic character under the bus to capitalize on that chemistry. If the writers utilized the chemistry correctly, it would appeal to more of the audience because there be more truth in it. The show spends so much time forcing chemistry that doesn't exist or squandering chemistry. Chemistry alone is never enough. Just like love alone is never enough. The audience has to understand why characters are interacting. Will wanting to get back at EJ makes sense. Being sorry that he betrayed him the first does not. The writers didn't build a believable bridge between on Will felt about EJ before and how feels about EJ now. |

It's been said over and over on show and in interviews that it's the power. Will grew up bounced from home to home in the middle of all his parental drama and romantic issues. Him craving to hold the power and be in charge is a typical response. He wants to be like EJ. He likes the money, the perks and the power EJ holds. He doesn't care about the blackmail, he's willingly wanting to work for EJ anyways because he wants to stick with him and be like him. For Lucas, are there conversations that EJ and Will have that I think that Will could have with his father? I.E. the alibi conversation where Will told EJ where he was and EJ encouraged him to go to the police. Yes. But they're not building that relationship, they're building the one Will has with EJ. As for the story not making sense, what story on this show does make sense? Everyone bounces around on a daily basis all over the place. Hope's married to Bo, Hope's married to John, Hope's being Gina, then they're all locked in a safe house and until last week the entire Almania plot was forgotten. Roman turns Stefano's case over to RAFE who Roman declares as unbias. When Rafe's claiming to be the father of EJ's wife's baby. Is Will's stepfather and is still married to Sami so is related to half the suspects. If you want a show to make sense, this isn't it. |

I don't mind the EJ and Will scenes but the show/writers need to drop the sexually charged dialogue and situations. It's borderline incestuous and it's now pointless given that Will is out. Even worse, it seems like Days thinks the innuendo-filled EJ-Will dynamic is an acceptable alternative to making Will or Sonny actually be gay. Sonny may be the most asexual gay character in the history of modern television since he never finds anyone attractive, never dates and certainly never has sex. Will isn't that much different than Sonny in that regard. I'd gladly trade these "get me off" and similar exchanges between EJ and Will if the show would let Sonny comment that he thinks one of his coffee house customers is hot or if Will would go out on a date with someone on screen. Let EJ and Will blackmail each other or engage in their nefarious deeds or threaten each other or whatever they want to do. Just move the sexualized words and antics to Will and/or Sonny where it is less offensive and is actually needed. |

Alex: Caustins story was rewritten? For the better? It does matter a little cause I don't want Caustin bonding over their child after hearing their child heart beat then after that Carrie tells Rafe she isn't sure she isn't sure she can't stay with Austin.. Ya know? IF this has to happen and Carrie tells Rafe this it better be BEFORE Caustin bond. |

I agree that is why I love their relationship, I don't see Ej bullying Will to do anything. He treats him as an adult, also he told him that he had the permission to leave but Will wanted to stay. I don't see Ej forcing Will to continue to work with him, Will seems to like the fact that he is working with him, not to mention the benefits he has. I don't think their parternship is unrealistic either, for one I never saw Ej trying to replace Lucas as a Father. He respects his role as a Father but that does not mean that means that Will should stop working for Ej because of his reputation. Will was the one that tried to blackmail him first, so I suppose that Ej suppose to just sit back and allow him to do it? I don't think so. He is not the victim in anything. I happen to think that both characters balance each other, I don't see any father/son bond but two people that enjoy working together. Finally Will is interesting to me, previously he was the most boring teen, now he is interesting. |
