Friday, June 22nd It's a new day in Salem nic goes to visit dan at his office he says he was thinking about lexi she was here every day up untill this is his first day back without her he is going to miss her nic says sorry for your loss dan says you were her sister in law for awhile nic says she was the only redeeming member of that famiy dan says now its about to change now that you got this little one here she says i wanted to thank you again you could have made things difficult for me when you saw me switch the labels on the dna samples and you didnt tell Ej that this baby was his and there isnt anything in the world i can give you to prove to you how grateful i am she gives him a little gift he says then why even try you got what you wanted no one is going to find out that Ej is the father of your baby you can drop the act now kate is at the pub carrie and Austin come in kate tells carrie she looks fabulous Austin told his mom she was pregnant he says she needs some extra time getting use to being a granma again kate says im so happy for you she hugs Carrie Spencer comes back to the station he says the governor has asked for an objective agency to over see the investigation in the dimera murder rafe says well we didnt think it would be the isa Spencer says well stefanos death has some international repercussions given his recent involvement with the cia roman says well im not sorry to see you take it over spencer says officer kent briefed him on the way over, but he wants to know who their prime suspect is roman says our gut says Ej Dimera rafe says stefanos son Ej is home sitting on the floor by the chair wearing a black top and track pants tears streaming down his face looking at a pic of lexi he has the letter from Alice Horton looking at it he gets up and goes over to the desk puts lexi picture down Will comes in he hides the letter says William i didnt hear you come in Will says whats going on ? Ej says whats going on ? i expected you here half an hour ago you are late Will says im sorry ej says thats what you have to say for yourself you are sorry, he wipes his tears away he has his back to Will Will says i thought you would call me and tell me not to come in to today Ej says why would i do that Will says do you have to ask your sister died , i know how much she meant he picks up lexis picture Ej grabs it and says leave that alone, lol Will says i was here when you got the call and i know you are upset and i expected EJ says you expected what , that i would bury myself in grief did you sit alone in the dark mourn my loss? does that sound like something i would do ? Will says i dont think anyone would blame you for taking a few days for yourself , even the mayor gets a day off or 2 EJ says well if i was just the mayor then maybe i would be afforded that kind of luxury but im also a Dimera rafe says we considered that the suspect was working with some one else but that theory fell apart he got an alibi spencer says your grandson Will the press has been playing up his alibi the case will be covered from every angle stefanos murder affects almost everyone in this is town roman says doesnt mean i have to like it Wills private life is no ones business Ej throws the newspaper at Will says you are front page news Will reads it says wow i didnt ask for this you know Ej says at least nobody thinks you are a murderer Will says this means th epolice will focus on somebody else ej says yeah im counting on that Spencer says Ej encouraged Will to come forward? Roman says yeah spencer says if Ej has something to hide you think he would want the suspect in custody what do you have on junior? Rafe says nothing except Stef drew up a new will recently and left junior out of it but he was killed before he could sign it spencer says any ideas why stef wanted ej cut out of the family fortune? Ej says see William if you display any form of weakness you become vulnerable you need to learn to protect yourself Will says whats your weakness your family? EJ says whats left of it it was my fathers weakness too you know its always important to prepare yourself for the next attack Spencer says so ej fell out of favour with his father roman says the fallout could have happened both ways rafe says Billie Reed found out that stef gave us the tip that helped us clear john black of the embezzlement charges roman says she fed that info to Ej hoping he would implicate himself in the plot Spencer says that was the beginning of the end for stefano roman says ejs plan to bring down john black had been in works for months and it was an air cut case and then stefano shot the hell out of it rafe says that had to hurt to be betrayed by your own father like that to have him chose his greatest enemy over you ? Ej says my father is gone , i have no choice but to take his place at the head of our family , our investment there can be no doubt as to who is in charge Spencer says he has motive and opportunity but is Ej the kind of man to shoot his father in cold blood (as spencer is saying these lines they are showing EJ looking out the window ) Will is working on the laptop sitting on the couch Ej is looking over his shoulder says excellent and he rubs his head when you are finished print those out and put them to one side for me Will says you want to keep them Ej says of course Will says but they are a joke nothing substantial, they are just speculating that you might be taking over your fathers position stepping in to his shoes eJ says you dont listen to a word i say thats what im doing Will says i was thinking about chad he is a Dimera too EJ says what about chad? he wants nothing to do with the family business, he thinks its beneath him loyalty is very important to me Will says i know Ej says do you really? you have forgotten that i was the person who encouraged you to go forward and clear your name of my fathers murder now you sit here insinuating that somehow im taking away from chad what is rightfully his Will says im not insinuating that EJ says what do you see when you look at me? do you see some heartless bastard some chip off the old block that just takes what ever he wants ? is that what you see? Will says no EJ says well you should cuz thats who i am thats who i have to be Austin talks to kate tells her he is so sorry about stefano she says it is what it is he says i know you 2 were separated but i knew that you loved him kate says at least he didnt have to see his daughter die he says we were so sorry to hear about lexi she says the whole situation is tragic we have good news this new baby will be a blessing for the whole family Austin says he made a lot of mistakes in the marriage she says you were not making the mistakes alone alone he says carrie has done her part too but she says but what he says everything is behind us now this baby is everything things are good rafe comes in says hi to Carrie Kate notices a look Nic says you think this is an act? That im terrified that im desperate? Dan says that you need my help? he says just calling it like i see it legs she says why dont you call it like it is if ej finds out this kid is his i will never see my baby again thats why im freaking out and you know that he says i think you were laying it on a bit thick to pull at my heart strings she says so now im manipulating you? He says you could admit it she says admit what? He says that you played me then we will see where things go from there she says so if i admit i played you a little you wouldnt be mad? He says i would be a lot of things ,i think id be happy to hear it honesty can go a long way when 2 people are getting to know each other she says ok maybe i did lay it on a little thick he says was that so hard? she says no it felt liberating to get that off my chest he says there is one more thing we need to get off your chest this little act of yours did it end before or after our kiss? Nic says Now you insulted me now you are implying i used sex too he says i didnt say sex i said a kiss she says same thing he says not where i come from if thats your idea of sex she says if you knew what qualified for my idea of sex your head would explode he says really? She says yeah really im not liking this whole little scenario of yours its not sitting well with me you painted me out to be a seductive manipulator where does that put you completely Innocent ?please sporting a white coat and all he says i could take it off you are not innocent here either doctor you have a past too i should name them Chloe, Chelsea, kate maybe you though i was playing you so you decided to play me he says why would i do that? She says i think you were curious to see how far i would go to get what i wanted from you he says one could only imagine how far you would go she says now you be honest why did you really kiss me ? Austin tells his mom they have to run do a few things kate says she wants to take carrie shopping wants to spend some time with my daughter in law want to spoil you and my grandbaby Austin leaves Kate and Carrie leave the pub together Door bell rings at the mansion Will says are you expecting someone? EJ says no ,go and see who it is Will comes back and says its rafe , my grandfather and some other guy EJ says dont be rude let them in Ej puts alices letter in his jacket pocket hanging on the chair Will watches him he goes and lets roman in who says what the hell are you doing here? Rafe says i thought you were fired Will says i was but we talked after Ej posted my bail and now im back Spencer tells him he has been assigned to over see the investigation into mr dimeras death , hoping to check with the mayor is he home? Ej comes out into the foyer says im right here im very happy you are in charge, the salem police department have proven themselves to be impotent when it comes to finding my fathers killer, hope you can do a better job do you have any more leads on the suspect rafe says that all depends on you EJ Ej says how can i help you find my fathers killer? Rafe says with cases like these it helps to have an open line of communication with the family ej says im the son of the victim i hope you keep me in the loop rafe says once people start talking and answering the questions they become uncomfortable they become defensive , they put walls up ej says i dont see any waggons circling i have nothing to hide roman says wow if stefano could hear you now a dimers with nothing to hide , hell has frozen over Ej says if you have a question ask it rafe drops his papers and pictures of a dead stefano fall out on the floor Ej looks down at them and gets emotional rafe notices ejs reaction and says sorry about that you never saw him that night did you? Ej says no rafe says you look a little pale must be hard to see is it the blood and gore or are you truly sorry he is gone dan says you are really good at this i see what you are doing turning the table accusing me of using sex she says someone is getting worked up it wasnt sex it a was a kiss its funny a man with your history getting all worked up over a little kiss he says a kiss can tell you a lot about a person she says ok tell me in a showdown between the tramp and a man whore who is going to come out on top he says you called me a man whore? When i think about the kiss , i remember the way it felt after the heat from your body and for a moment i forgot to breath and the sensation of 2 people truly connected thats what i remember she says well now that we are being honest thats what i remember too kate and carrie sit at the square kate talks about the houses Austin is looking for and she will see her through this entire pregnancy, she only wants whats best for her and Austin she gives her a present says it has real meaning behind it she opens it its a dagger she says whats this? Kate says its a warning of what stands to happen to you if you cheat on my son with that loser rafe Hernandez carrie says you think rafe and i ? kate says i dont think i know carrie says there is nothing going on with rafe and me kate says i hope not you are pregnant after all carrie says and this is Austins baby kate says i know what i saw today when rafe walked in to the pub carrie says nothing happened kate says dont waste your breath i saw the way you 2 looked at each other to deny it makes it worse carrie says you are turning this onto something that its not kate says i know whats its like to have feelings for another man i know the damage it can cause im not going to let you do that to my son not again you almost destroyed him when you had the affair with mike Horton carrie says im not that girl anymore kate says thats where you are wrong you are that girl you always will be Ej says you have some nerve you come in here and ask me if im sorry for my fathers death rafe says sorry i told you some of the questions i have to ask you might upset you ej says you are over stepping you boundaries and you seem to have forgotten that i can make one phone call and have you thrown off this force Spencer says perhaps you are forgetting mr mayor that you are still a prime suspect in this case EJ says according to who these monkeys the same 2 who thought that Will was the prime suspect 24 hours ago if you just came her to irritate me i suggest you leave spencer says we came to discuss roman says motive ej says whos roman says well stefano recently revised his will and he cut you out he was just about to sign it rafe says and someone stopped him Ej says well it wasnt me now get those bloody things out of my sight he looks at the pics on the floor my father was cutting people out of his will all the time it means nothing there are real suspects out real people with real axes to grind and yet your investigation seems to focus on me spencer says we are considering every angle Ej says no you are not you come to my house and you accuse me of my fathers murder while i not only mourn my father but i mourn my sister could you shoot your father in the heart? could you? could you? right and yet you stand here and accuse me of this crime he picks up the papers from the floor and pushes the papers in to rafes chest and yells get out my house the lot of you rafe picks up the rest of the pictures and papers gives EJ a look and they leave Will stares at EJ Ej says what are you looking at? Will says nothing Ej looks out the window Will stares at the letter sticking out of Ejs jacket nic sits on the desk says looks like our cards are on the table im not a saint and neither are you he says i never said i was she says no but people see you that way the other day did we break any doctor patient rules? He says well here is the problem you are not my patient anymore she says then what am i to you? He says i think of you as a co conspirator she says i like it she smiles at him spencer says you threw ej for a loop accidentally letting him see those pictures roman says he lost control for a minute rafe says im sorry Will was there to see it roman say i hate that he is working for that son of a bitch rafe says sami cant be ok with that Spencer says we have no proof that ej is the killer rafe says guilty or not i hope Will sees ej for who and what he is before its too late Ej says my father died in this house in this house and they come in here accusing me of this and that Will says im sorry Ej says so am i ej grabs his jacket off the chair and the letter falls on the floor Will says where are you going? He says i have to get ready for a meeting Will says do you want me to wait here? ej says no when you are finished with those files show yourself out ej leaves carrie says im committed to my marriage to Austin kate says i want you to stay in the right bed then we wont have a problem i never once heard you say that you are in love with my son i have had my sons torn apart by the brady girls before and im not going to sit by and let it happen again nic and dan go to kiss he gets a call he says look at that i have to go she says i get it live to save lives he says yeah you are never more alive than when you are close to death i will see you again she says if you are lucky he leaves and sighs heavily out side the door and nic does the same roman says well you accomplished what you set out to do you rattled ejs cage now we rafe says now we wait Spencer says for what? Rafe says For Ej to make a mistake spencer says think he will ? Rafe says yeah and if we are lucky and that mistake will tell us why he murdered his father Will sees Alices letter on the floor and he thinks about picking it up he looks around and then bends down to get it |

Thanks for the recap. I will tune in for Kate. I like her laying into Carrie and reminding her of her cheating trifling ways. Yes, Carrie you are a serial cheater. Poor doofus Austin |

I really, really like this Dicole dialogue. "Between the tramp and the manwhore, who comes out on top?" LOL. That's the right way to play it between those two. |

Okay...now i'm kind of interested in this Dan and Nicole thing. I like the dialogue at least. They are both calling out the other on past behavior. I like it. Still wish it wouldn't go too far though. They might make me change my mind if it is done right. What am I saying?! Damn show. |

Another Strangle Day in Salem! 2nd day in a row of a decent show. Again, I found the scripts, dialogue, pacing and flow to be great. Not looking at specific characters or fan favs. just looking at what scenes were in the epi. TPTB are playing out the beats in SLs and providing details to the viewers. SLs seems to have suddenly slowed down. Interesting and weird at the same time.

Wow, Danicole are basically the same person. I've missed hearing Nicole be up front about who she is. Now she just needs to have that baby and get a martini in her hand. Love that Will has the letter. Hopefully he's learned to scheme and won't just hand it over to Roman. God, I love Kate. Sounds like a good show. |

They're certainly playing up the mutual sexual attraction. The dialogue was interesting; I hope the scenes play out that way on the screen. |

EJ wins for worst dresss! I know he is emotionally drained right now, but he is wearing a black knit longsleeve, mock neck, sweater and track pants. It is the end June, a wardrobe malfunction? EJ looks worse than anything that Jack has worn in his short time on screen. Will is dressing more like EJ these days. Will was looking mighty fine in a shirt and suit jacket! Really? I'd much rather have them call it for what it is, rather than ignore it and act like it's some precious love story between these two. They are basically acknowledging that it's just two trampy people who find the other person hot and are getting their rocks off. I like it. A lot. |

Although I am an anti-Dicole, I will admit that the scenes were well written & directed. TPTB have slowed down the SL, provided much needed dialogue and even though after much discussion, Dan and Nicole almost kiss again, except, to be interupted by Daniel's phone and he needs to attend to a patient. That was a positive on these two, the negative, Daniel still comes off as a big sleeze and it's not just Daniel, it is SC's mannerisms and the way he talks and looks at Nicole. I was completely grossed out. Nicole was her regular self, Sorry, I just say what I see, I actually wish SC was better in his performance, so I could at least give them a chance. The character of Nicole deserves so much better then this. :shame: Even I wasn't an Ejole fan I wouldn't want this for Nicole. Brady/Nicole would make A LOT more sense. |

You really notice Dr. Tanman's colouring in this epi. AZ is so fair and SC is so tanned. I know it is summer, but Dr. Tan needs to lose his fake tan, or stay out of the sun, it isn't funny anymore! Is SC desperately trying to look young and thinks tanning will help? So glad Salem's other men don't have the same flaw. This surfer dude image is so 80`s! |

The Kate and Carrie scenes were good. IMO, at least Kate had the balls to call Carrie on her crap. I`d want Kate as my mom in this situation. I loved the line where Kate says, `my sons have been screwed over enough by the Brady sisters`--- one of the best lines ever. Good for Kate letting Carrie know that she has got her number. Even if Austin can`t see it, Kate telling Carrie that she hasn`t said she loves Austin, is important to the SL. Kate wins this round, I don`t care if it is really none of her business. |
