Okaaaay...... this should be interesting. I'm interested to see if her zero sex appeal is just on Days. Hope they don't tart her up to try to override it.

Hallmark Movie To Star Two Soapers!

MORE HOT NEWS

No Swan Song Here!
Soap opera fans will get to see two familiar faces in the upcoming Hallmark movie Two In! Yesterday, Greg Vaughan (ex-Diego, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS; ex-Lucky, GENERAL HOSPITAL) tweeted that he will be starring opposite Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) in the made-for-television drama. "Finally signed, sealed & delivered! Starring in a new Hallmark Movie starting Wednesday opposite my girl @Ali_Sweeney!! Gonna be great fun!"

Now, Soaps In Depth has uncovered some details about the film. Vaughan will star as firefighter Jeff Sinclair, while Sweeney plays single mom Jenny McLean, a 911 operator. While their voices are familiar to each other, Jeff has never met Dispatcher No. 23 -- that is, until he suffers a fractured leg and smoke inhalation on the job and Jenny comes to visit him in the hospital! When Jenny, suffering financially from a cutback in her hours, needs to rent out her spare bedroom for extra cash, and an injured Jeff realizes he can't handle the stairs in his condo and needs a more level place to convalesce, Jenny agrees to let Jeff move in with her and her two young children, Elsie and Luke. Despite their mutual attraction, Jeff and Jenny are both wary about making a commitment to each other... but not if Elsie and Luke have anything to say about it!

Ok, that movie is a total lie...falling in love with AS's voice? LOL On top of that AS is unfamiliar with the "cutback in hours." LOL

The plot sounds as contrived as DAYS...but like a car crash, people watch. Hell, I may take a look (maybe I can stand to watch it just for the sheer laughter of it.)

Which aspect of AS's voice? The lisp or the beastly wail?

This sounds cringeworthy. I will probably check it out to see how she does.

I'm pretty sure I saw this movie about a week ago, but it was a postal worker, not a 911 operator.

I'd watch a Hallmark movie with AS and a postal worker who snaps and shoots her in the face.

Smart girl! who jumps on this, have to say that ALI is a professional who has been managing its so-called celebrity status in a business way, she secures her future after DAYS. :)

Hee hee! Hallmark! AS! What a laugh. And Hallmark was the one that did "Sarah Plain and Tall", right?

What a come-down. For Hallmark, that is. Based on my years of watching this person's "acting" never changing since she was an annoying teenager, this will be either exceedingly bad or unintentionaly hilarious. Either way, I won't see it. I do wish she could actually act so that she'd take longer and longer absences from Days.

Now don't come whoopin' my ass at the grocery store cause I picked on your fav on here!

I think I might check it out, just to see if it is Sami Brady in the Hallmark movie, or if AS is actually able to pull it off and ACT. If she does, I'll give her credit where credit is due.

I'll give her that chance. I don't hate her like a lot of people on here do.

I liked Sarah Plain and Tall??

Oh and yes, the voice. Is this allergy season AS, or NON allergy season AS?

Who cares? The only way I would care is if she decided she would rather do movies and TBL forever and leave. Here's to you Ali! :flipoff: :flipoff:

I liked "Sarah....", too. That was my point. SUCH a come-down from Glenn Close and Christopher Walken!

AS in a movie. LMAO! I have watched her for YEARS trying to pull off acting. She can't.

I think Alison can act-she can play a scheming, angry bitch well- but I don't think she has any versatility, so I'm not expecting her to do that well in the movie unless she's playing Sami Brady.

Perhaps. But if the scheming bitch has to be sad, laugh, yell at someone, or walk, AS can't. She has been on Days forever and STILL can't walk without clomping. Sad= scrunchy. Laugh=fake. Yell=one-note deep voice. If she can't deliver in 20 years but what can be counted on the fingers (two or three Grace death scenes are all I can remember), then she can't do 2 hours of drama. MAYbe an outstanding director could deal with her one strenghth--bitchiness, and put her character in a wheel chair, but as a fleshed-out character? Nah.

Frankly this is a Hallmark film. Like Lifetime these films don't have flushed out characters and OTT acting and male eye candy is the norm same as it is on soaps. I'm sure the movie will do what it's intended to do and Ali and Greg will be fine and carry their roles as expected.
