The thought Of ED returning makes me hurl! They're just going to use her as EJ's nanny now that they've killed off Lexie. I can't for the life of me think of a reason why she is needed. Unless her real name is "prayer", This show needs a hell of a lot more than ED right now.

This is what he posted regarding Gay-Less Days

• Gay-less DAYS: Several sources attest that DAYS will be throwing Will and his
homosexuality on the backburner despite Chandler Massey’s Emmy win and the
show’s Best Writing Emmy. Too bad because Massey is expected to leave the
serial when his contract expires.

No way I believe this.
This basically sounds like the same panic over Meng's comments a few weeks ago, to me.

I really hope the CM thing is bullshit. I ADORE him and FS!!! This fucking show gives me heartburn!!! lol But, (you all would know more than I would) from the sounds of it, this NB character is known to sling some bullshit around. I hope that is the case...

Man, I'm trying to contain myself but I have to say even this little bit of confirmation has me ready to do backflips around my office. KRISTEN!!! Ohmygoodness!!!!

I don't believe the gay-less stuff...Freddie Smith said we would all be sick of Sonny by the end of October, in regards to how much they have been using him.
I agree with you. That assertion flies in the face of all logic (even for DAYS). Besides doesn't Chandler still have 1.5 years left on his contract?
Yeah, his contract goes to December 2013 (according to Jason's site).

Did you watch any of ED's first run?

At all??

She's a goldmine.

This will definetly open up story for the DH's as well.

Sure, I can't wait to see her opposite JS, I think screens everywhere will melt but that's not all she'll do.

Her and DeeH will set things on fire as well.

I remember an interview where Chandler Massey said that after his coming out story, his sexuality wouldn't be a big part of his story, or words to that effect.

I think Eileen will be on Days for a pre-determined run and then return to Y&R. I find it interesting that the idiot writers at Y&R wouldn't work to accommodate a dual run. Sooooo stupid since it could be good publicity for both shows to have a cross over actor. Plus, isn't Sony ultimately the boss, couldn't they have told Y&R to accommodate. Kind of confused with the network vs Sony relationship. I thought they owned both shows.

Mark my words. I'll be shocked if she's even half of the character she was when she left. I remember all the CC love and the I can't wait to see Carly back...

I think of ED as I think of AZ. In fact, those are the two that should be in scenes together. But neither will be treated well on this show as it stands right now.

Well, I don't think that his sexuality should be the only layer to his character, but he deserves some kind of love life! Hopefully we'll at least get to see his relationship with Sonny evolve before they (supposedly) backburner them. Maybe with his Emmy win they will continue to write for him. I don't know...

Great actress and a great interesting character. She has been gone so long and so much can be done with her. What's not to like??

Unfucking believable

After all of the fucking press and praise they are dropping the gay story.

I bet now Sonny's story in Sep has nothing to do with Will and he's going to be on the backburner and Chandler may just get an early pink slip since he's probably leaving once his contract is up.

Maybe they are going to cast a new love interest for Sonny?

Shit who am I kidding. There will never be a gay romance on this show :soapbox: :soapbox: :soapbox: :soapbox: .

And the show gets worse. This show doesn't need ED. It needs heroes and heroines. It doesn't need a demented Dimera and a Eric Brady whose darker...
I agree on both accounts. If it means more John/Marlena and Sami- no thanks. I'll pass.

Much prefers sweevil, snarky EJ over Father Figure Fucktard Eejiot.

Well HELL'S BELLS and HALLELEUJAH!!!

Where's Kenny?!?! Posted Image

Awesome news!

I could swear we've heard that ED was open to returning in the past - didn't she tweet that the reason she didn't reprise Susan when the brought in Brynn Thayer was because she wasn't asked? I seem to remember her saying then she'd be open to returning. SOOOO excited for this! It opens up the canvas in so many ways. I agree that it would be criminal to not bring Joe Mascolo back now. And I'll even be greedy and say I'd love to see Thaao back, as well.

I don't know GV's work - but I'm thrilled they are finally bringing Eric Brady back to the canvas.

I'm not going to worry about the 'gay less' thing - it does sound like Nellie is just trying to spook people into making some noise. I have no doubt Chandler will likely leave once his contract is up - he's generated a lot of buzz and positive publicity here, he'd be foolish not to try to take it and run with it to bigger, better things.

The show seems pretty "gayless" to me right now. Seriously, it really isn't all that noticeable unless you want to infer things from Will's association with EJ. But this sounds a lot like what was said before when Meng said something about the gay story being one that women don't care to see. And that they were going to try and win back that group of the audience that they lost. Sonny being on a lot can be about anything at this point.

Even without the Emmy, I don't think they'd backburner him. Will may not get much of a love life, but I doubt we'd get a Will placed on the backburner.

Awesome.

I'm not looking for good story with this. Just a few good scenes. At least one with Marlena. Low expectations is the way to go, for me.

As to the show needing heroes/heroines not a demented Dimera- heroes/heroines need a villain to help define them, imho, especially on a soap fueled by bed-hopping like this one. We need to see some true evil so everyone else looks good by comparison.

A psycho like Kristen could really help this show out, imho.

It's not really saying much either as, other than Camila Banus, I foresee all the younger actors leaving when their contract expires.

I know for a fact that Aliaron saw when Kristen was on but many of us (me included) were fed up with her by the time she left. She was very overexposed, played a bunch of different characters and frankly the only one that worked IMHO was Kristen. I on one hand don't mind her return though, but I really have learned from a bunch of lackluster returns (CC, LS, MA, MR, BD) not to get my hopes up with these writers today giving any returning character a good, solid storyline that captivates us anymore. If we're lucky we will get 25% of what Kristen/Susan were....if we're really lucky we'll get half. I have lost all faith in Days giving me something that will entertain me anymore.
