It was ridiculous to not have Maggie at the memorial. First, Chez Rouge is her restaurant. Second, Maggie has been on the board of University Hospital -- and a frequent worker at the hospital, too -- for years. (I believe Victor was on the board as well.)

In addition, where were Doug and Julie? They would certainly have been there.

Also, did everyone forget Lexi stealing Hope's baby and lying about it? Or is that one of those "things" we are supposed to "forget" like Jack raping Kayla??
It would have been pretty tacky to bring up Lexie's criminal past at her funeral.

But didn't Abe discuss this with Bo and Hope at the house...was that yesterday or today? Abe started to talk about when Lexie kept Zach from them and they both interjected and said they'd forgiven her a long time ago for that. Today, right?

LOVED LOVED the memorial. The flashbacks were great. Hearing my man  Brandon  get some mentions made me all giddy inside. Sami's "Lexie flashback" being Brandon-related was the cherry on top. Sigh...

I don't understand this, Ejole was having a moment yesterday with their baby which gave me hope and now they are both exploring other people?? WTH!
I have to believe there is a point to Nicole having EJ's baby which is that they will be a family eventually!! But now with Eric coming back it's going to throw a wrench in that plan. But I don't mind him...he's better than brainless Rafe! I'd rather her claim the baby to be Eric's than Rafe.

Sigh...its really the end of an era with Lexie gone.

Having a baby together doesn't insure a couple will end up together - just look at EJami, Phloe, etc.

Great show today. The second day I didn't have to ff. I hadn't seen Dicole interact and hated the idea, but watching them today for the first time I actually didn't mind. All around great episode.

It's kind of sad that I didn't even think to check if Celeste was there or wonder what she said. I really miss Tanya Boyd.

I loved how natural so many of the conversations and emotions seemed, regarding Lexie.

I generally see Marlena as more of an established heroine who can be used in various stories (with her family or as a therapist) but today I truly did see her as a matriarch, and that through her the show was saying goodbye to Lexie. That scene was beautifully crafted.

After Jennifer believed Jack's texts, e-mails etc. were him abandoning her, and then she later learned he was being tortured, I'm surprised they would have her be the one to get upset about Steve sending a text.

I hope so. I'm actually ready for it, because...

I don't know Abby's comment about not wanting her parents marriage seemed OK with me . She doesn't know the crap that went down between Abe and Lexie because she was a little girl and I actually like that she isn't wearing rose colored glass when it comes to her paremts. I hated the Shawn and Belle always had image of the parents "ideal" love story, grow up!

Oh and yes what was Jennifer wearing?

Excellent episode across the board. I really enjoyed the Lexie flashbacks. Loved the interactions during the memorial. I even didn't mind the teen scene as much. It's fun watching the stink eye looks Abby keeps giving Gabi for putting the moves on Chad. She's definitely on to her.

The kids were adorable during the episode. I couldn't help but smile when it looked like little Johnny missed a cue in his blocking and Kristian Alfonso was getting ready to step in to help when he caught up with where he was supposed to be. And then shortly after they show him dancing (or was that counting his cue on his fingers) and then Theo gives him a bump to cue him to run over to Sami. It's fun seeing these little behind the scenes type moments - it really makes you appreciate how detail oriented they have to be.

Flying my EJami freak flag high in the air - I did so enjoy their scenes. I liked that throughout the episode there were tense moments between them intermingled with tender. Their awkward reaction after EJ told Sami what Lexie had said about their potential to make each other happy was both funny and sweet. I'm really enjoying watching them both struggle with whatever that charge is between them - rather than seeing EJ begging and pleading to no avail.

I have to say I'm quite surprised at the solid writing they are giving Dicole. I really thought this would just be a slam bam, thank you for keeping my secret, sir type of relationship but they are actually giving them some legs - having them talking about Chloe, mentioning their past interactions when Nicole felt EJ was trying to kill her, Rebececca...just wow. And their last scene when they kissed was both hot and romantic.

That last scene with Marlena reading the speech from "The Tempest' as they showed the Lexie monologue was just wonderful - definitely had the tears flowing.

Overall - really, really great episode. Farewell, Lexie. :tears:
I was going to share my thoughts on today's show but you already said everything I was thinking, so thanks! :P RIP Lexie.
ICAM. It was amazing all around.

Seconding everything SocR said. To me, Abby's comment came off like a young person teasing their parents. It's been a long time since an episode flowed so naturally. It was logical for the Steve conversation, the Zach mention etc. to take place the they did, with the people connected chiming in.

What Ejami had was perfect. IDK who wised up and realized a couple shouldn't go from hatred to love (or worse schmoop) overnight without skipping the drama along the way, but I hope this is a long term change. The fun part is the journey and watching them work through their issues and realize what Lexie knew.

The Kayla/Abe stuff is happening a bit too quickly, but they really did have a bit of natural chemistry already.

It was really nice to see all the generations and relatives come together and interact.

I'll really miss Lexie. It's a shame that Days wasted RJ for the majority of the time they had her.

Well, looks like MarDar were gonna pair Kayla and Abe, but Tomlin probably won't. They can just stay friends. It's too soon for more right now anyway.

Loved the tribut to Lexie. I loved seeing the flashbacks of her. I think that it was a great farwell for Lexie.

If they are going to do that Abe and Kayla pairing I don't think that I would like them as a couple they don't look good togehter. If they are going to do ti though I hope they wait awhile and not do ot right after Lexie's death.

TPTB can do this one, but is anyone really interested in this couple? It's too soon for either of them to help each other lick their wounds over losing a loved one. Divorce or death--- still a loss, a different loss....but contrived far beyond anything intelligible. Yes, ABe and Kayla are friends, but haven't really shard any 'together' scenes since she's been back, except when ABE was drunk at the pub over the election stuff and losing Lexie. Another epic fail in my mind. Trashing Steve over texts and calls, when we know that he'd have given his right arm to be with his family, on any given day. DAYS is doing a magnificent job at making "LOSERS" out of some of their best actors and character's history. Even with all the hype of things to come I will hate DAYS a little longer... no alot longer. :shame:

I love Chad, don't get me wrong but today he looked either buzzed or hung-over especially when Gabi asked him to dance. The look on his face was like "God, please help me!"
Great send off for Lexie, gonna miss ya girl!

I want Kayla to have a story. Something personal..not just listening to others' problems.

I always wanted Steve and Kayla together, of course, but Stephen's gone and he's not coming back for a long time if ever.

I don't know about Kayla and Abe though. Give them a chance to deal with their losses and then we'll see.
