No, I don't want EJ to be Marlena's. I want him to be Kristen's. Cue the many showdowns between Marlena & Kristen with John caught right in the middle.
Given, I'll probably never get my wish, but there it is, in print.
But it's seriously not possible. Kristen's baby died (and they don't be doing THAT sci-fi shit). And Kristen was onscreen for a year (in Salem and actual time) before she left, and she gave birth to zero babies. No more re-writing of history.
If Chelsea could come back from the swamp, EJ could have come out of Kristen's glittery hoo ha.
Kristen was like 3 months along, if even that. Billie was further along. She actually gave birth. Kristen's baby died in womb because of the tunnel collapsing. Re: Susan/John - Then Stefano had to have inseminated Susan with John's sperm... which he got from where? You're saying he just stole John's sperm when he was under mind control incase someone, some day might need it? It could happen.
Let me remind you that Marlena was possessed by the devil.
ETA: Just remember this show is not based on realism or anything that even remotely looks to be real, intelligent or logical.

Who says they are writing EJ as a hero?
And villains are allowed to have romance. The hero role is someone who has all the odds against them but they have truth and right on their side and they will prevail and be cheered and his enemies will be defeated.
That's the role they've given EJ. Eve adding the few faithful, will and Sami, who will stand by his side like he's Robin Hood.
This is not about romance. This is about a storyline that has been given to a character who is not equipped for it just because they give nearly every storyline to this character.

I mean...what better revenge on John then to make sure he (Stefano) gets a hold of his kid and raises him to be a little mini-me? Classic, soapy stuff! EJ shooting John, then stealing a kidney from him to put in Stefano...the money scam...all juicy stuff it would be interesting to see EJ and John have to work through knowing they were both played by Stefano all along.

Where is the recall election and the pissed off voters. This show just chewed up crap.
Yeah, that'll help our rating woes. A recall election. Its the perfect c story since they made such a big deal out of the election. Not every story an a story. Sometimes events happen around story lines to make them more realistic.

Who says they are writing EJ as a hero?
And villains are allowed to have romance. They write him as a victim which is just as bad to try and elicit sympathy for him.
Victor Newman proves you can write a villain as a lead consistantly with no need to portray him as poor poor weak Victor to gain sympathy. The audience loves him and still does. Granted the writing for him the past few years has suffered and its been tiring at times, but Victor Newman has never needed to be written as a victim to elicit sympathy. As a result we never see him weak or needy either. But he also has had a consistant love of his life which helps portray him more empathetically and not a viper like Sami is, a woman with a genuine and kind heart, Nikki.

I really think the new writers are like fuck it. They consider this summer a wash. Which is probably why we kept hearing nothing this summer matters.
I do love to laugh at an ensemble show where only one group is celebrating all the spoilers. The writers should atleast write something for non-Sami fanbases. I haven't heard a peep from J&Jers or Jarlana fans... Man, I can't even think of anymore possible couples (dicole and cafe doesn't count to me since few support them.)
I forgot Will/Sonny fans.
Ultimatly I wish they would write for their ensemble cast. That way if you hated something, you could love something else. But since I am hating everything surround EJ, there is nothing to love. That's everything.
