I remember when we didn't have to be told a couple had sexual tension. It was there in the way they moved, talked, spoke and looked at each other. Time was given for there not to be dialogue, but they didn't put a red arrow on the screen and write "THEY HAVE SEXUAL CHEMISTRY". It was just there. See: John & Marlena share a dance at Blue Note. John was with Kristen, but everybody knew at that time she wasn't his choice, just a stand-in. Marlena walks up, his best friend in the world, and all she says is "Hi sailor", and you just knew. THAT is chemistry.

People can keep telling me EJ and Sami have sexual chemistry but it ain't there onscreen for me. When it is, I don't need to be told.
Word. I heart this post.

I find the "sexual tension" spoilers laughable. I don't need to be told who has sexual tension either. I either see it or I don't and with EJ and Sami I don't see it. It looks more like constipation to me. It's really pathetic.
Seriously. While I don't like what should be subtext overtly pointed out to me, it is helpful - b/c without the overt mention, I would miss all the supposed "chemistry" between them, invisible as it is to me. Or, rather, no more special as it is to me. It wouldn't register otherwise.

Well, I am just going to enjoy my couple for as long, or more like...little, as I can. It has been a long time since Ejami has had an opportunity. Shoot damn, I hope we get nearly as long as Ejole had together as a couple. Tickle fights, snookie wookie talk and...Ahhh what the hell am I talking about? I will take half the time if it can be something more watchable than that. More angry hot couch sex is alrighty w/me;)
If.EJami start up with the tickle fights I may have to cut a bitch.

Sexual tension between the slug and anyone is an impossibility. I think we are supposed to see it when Slugi stares at EJ or, better clue, when she pants like a hyperventilating dog. Which is appropriate, since she can give birth to litters.

It's not the panting. It's when she goes dead in the eyes. It's the same thing she does with every man. It kind of looks like she's having a petit mal seizure.

I think it'd really help their case if they left stuff like that our if spoilers. It's a good way to let us know beforehand that they're forcing something. Sometimes they luck out and it doesn't come across that way, but in those cases it especially would have been better to not point a sign at them and say LOOK! SEXUAL TENSION!

I don't think the spoiler is intended to tell you what message you are supposed to get from the scene, but rather to give those of us who like spoilers a heads up on what we can look forward to.

I have never needed a spoiler or anybody else to tell me that EJ and Sami have sexual chemistry.
Agreed, and people in charge of soap promotion have been announcing that scenes were going to showcase sexual tension since the dawn of soap spoilers.

Let me get this right.

Writing Lucas's entire family against him in support of the Dimeras and EJ, the man who physically and mentally abused them for years is great writing.

Writing Johnny liking the stuff toy Rafe gave him is the worse character pimping ever.

Yeah, that makes sense. <--- insert sarcasm here.
It's all about perspectives. And who one's individual favorites are. Much like anything else when it comes to the show.
For those of us without a ship, it's just annoying.
You are on a ship, it's just not any of these....*cough Elope cough*

The operative phrase here is "sexual tension" which for me is all that exists btwn them. We all know that Ej's lower half is magnitized to Sami's hooha, that's about it.

Is it true love? Are they soulmates meant to be? No matter how many hot n heavy sex scenes they show me, I dont see it.

I have never needed a spoiler or anybody else to tell me that EJ and Sami have sexual chemistry. I saw it the first time I saw them on screen together in 2009, and they were barely civil in the scene I saw. Their chemistry is what brought me back to Days.
Me too. I started watching in 1996, but then tuned out.

One day I decided to see what was going on in Salem, and I think EJ had a shaved head and was totally hating on Sami and even though I heard the words they were speaking I couldn't tear my eyes away and I kept thinking, "Good grief; they hate each other, but they want each other." I immediately googled them and became a huge fan.

The sexual tension is a spoiler, not a descriptor.

If EJ and Sami didn't have chemistry, explain how their fanbase is as large as it is given the little romantic interaction the pair have had. I can't think of another soap couple that have never actually REALLY been a couple that have the kind of following this pair has.

Since we can't insult fanbases maybe we shouldn't bring them up.

They have so much they could have done with Lucas's return, but they chose not to. Instead they stick him as a tool for EJ and Sami.

Lucas is Nicole's ex-husband. Instead of Rafe and Daniel, Lucas could have been in the middle of that story with her.
Lucas has Billie and Austin back, do they even share scenes? Lucas could be in the middle of Austin/Rafe/Carrie as a sounding board.
Lucas has Kate's going on with Ian.

They should just make Lucas a cop and get rid of Rafe. Lucas is a DAYS vet with ties to the canvas, he deserves more than Daniel and Rafe.

Quote:

Sami did tell him she loved him,

Lucas told her ILY many times in an episode, I think a week ago. I didn't hear Sami say it back to him once. It was
a neon light flashing that she didn't reciprocate at all the entire scene with Lucas.
I know right. I am so angry about this. He could be involved in the other SL with ease and really bring something to the table. Instead he is stuck with Sami, ... like always right?

I don't think they have really used the character Lucas. This "fight" between EJ and Lucas could perhaps be interesting but its old news really. He could still be involved with the other characters and still "love" Sami and "fight" EJ for her love. BUT ultimately Sami have to choose.. once for all.

The point is his existence should not just be about Sami, and frankly we have had Rafe vs EJ, and before that Lucas vs.EJ and before that Sami vs. Nicole about EJ. Now we get Lucas vs. EJ again... nothing has changed, it doesn't matter who is fighting over same its always the same verse. Its tiring to see this continue. It will just annoy all fanbases involved to point nobody cares anymore or are fed up with it. A soap should tease but there is a line where it gets to much. Mind you, this has been going on for a few years. Its always the same SL.. at a point it gets boring.
