Sounds like an exciting week I cannot wait to see the cliffhanger stuff although I am going to hate waiting until the Olympics are over.

I bet by the time Brady gets back to Madison she will already be gone and Ian can do nothing to save her he might just end up dying later from his injuries too. I can see Madison, Ian, Andrew and possibly Jack not surviving this explosion.

I am officially EXCITED now !!!!!

Btw Thanks Caylee and rolling off your avatar too. :roflol:

Daniel notices Nic's having pains but finds her healthy.
Does he stop pumping to give her a "special exam" or does he finish up first? :boobs: :makeout:

Much prefers sweevil, snarky EJ over Father Figure Fucktard Eejiot.

Definitely sounds like they are pulling out all the stops for the cliffhanger. Good for them!

I agree that it sounds like Jack will die trying to rescue Abby from the elevator. :( What a pity it wasn't Cameron, instead.

It's definitely going to be a long two week break. So glad to see DAYS come up with stuff that will actually have people anxious for the Olympics to be over so we can get back to it. It's been a very long time since I felt that way about this show.

I haven't been this excited since the vets returned. The shipper in me loves that Daniel and Nicole and EJ and Sami are together during the explosion. As someone said EJ trying to protect Sami is very 2007, which was a very good time for them. If Sami intentionally saves EJ's life that makes up for the past, imo. Good to see Maggie and Victor's names mentioned. It's been far too long since we've seen them.

Madison will probably die in the explosion and Brady will feel terrible for not being there. Hopefully that will lead to a story for him.

Sami ripping into EJ should be good, too. Of course, his paternity really doesn't affect her at all, but it's classic Sami to make this all about her. The more tension they have surrounding their feelings, the better.

The show really should have kept caustin around for the explosion. I'm not a Carrie fan, but if Austin had gotten killed while he was out looking for Carrie or something, that could have been the groundwork for a great Carrie/Kate rivalry.

I'm surprised we didn't hear what Jarlena, Bope and Abe are doing.

This does sound like a very good cliffhanger. I hope the show manages to execute it well on-screen.

I thought Ian causes an explosion? I guess that was false. Sounds like Andrew causes it.

I'm curious to see how much damage is done to the town square. We know it's still standing, based on future pictures. That's good to know. I just hope it doesn't turn into a little corner because that won't look realistic at all. I love the town square and would hate to see it torn down, in favor of stupid sets like the pier.

I don't think there was ever a spoiler that said Ian caused the explosion. We all just assumed, since there were rumors about it taking place at the bradison wedding.

Blowing up Horton Square.

Carrie says a sad goodbye to Rafe. He can barely face her departure. She joins Austin ant the pub and then they leave Salem together. Across town, Cameron continues to settle in as he tries to keep Abby distracted from worries about her missing friend. He gets her to help him plan a party in honor of his sister. He also winds up spending quite a bit of time convincing Jack that he has honorable intentions.

Sami is furious when she learns that EJ is not a DiMera. She lashes out at him for keeping this from her. Lucas has a bee in his bonnet about her Elvis obsession and gives her an ultimatum. While she thinks that over, she stomps off to see her son and lecture him about keeping secrets. He defends his boss and she admits to him that she’s made a back-up copy of the surveillance footage. Meanwhile, Ian is thrown off when Brady and Madison declare that they are tying the knot immediately. Madison is startled by how much this upsets Ian. His day gets worse when Lucas shows up to gab about EJ’s arrest and the surveillance footage. Ian sends his man off to take care of the loose ends. At that very moment, Elvis sends William off to hunt down the surveillance footage. As soon as Will and Sonny curl up to watch it, the footage is magically deleted.

Rafe continues interrogating EJ, who is doing his best to convince his old enemy that he is being framed. Sami drops by to see Elvis. He tells her how hard it was to come to terms with not being a DiMera. She decides to let him have the surveillance footage. When Chad arrives to offer is brother his full support, Sami heads off to see a lawyer but is attacked on the way. She limps home to Lucas and avoids explaining what she’s been up to. After she insists to Lucas that she is not choosing EJ over him, Will calls and asks her to bail out Elvis. Lucas is pissed. She shows up to bail out EJ anyway. This sticks in Roman’s craw. The cop soon gets a tip that EJ is planning to jet out of town. He gets ready to re-arrest him. Will gets wise to this and warns Elvis. He claims he had no plans to run. Sami tells him it’s the last shot he’s got at freedom. She helps him get ready to go. Will brings him the children so they can say goodbye. Before EJ can go, Roman and Lucas arrive. Roman nearly takes a shot at EJ but Sami gets in the way. An explosion hits. The cops are knocked out and Sami nearly falls through the ground to her death. EJ manages to grab her at the last minute, but can’t hold on when the second explosion comes.

Elsewhere, Daniel’s nose is out of joint when Nicole tries distracting him with a romantic dinner. She thinks he needs to take a breather and eat but he runs off to continue searching for Melanie. Daniel goes to see Victor, who lays into him for laying down with Nicole. She is summoned over to the mansion. Victor makes it clear that he does not want his ex-wife in his godson’s life. Daniel defends Nicole and Maggie tears her husband a new one.

The cops question Gabi some more for clues but nothing is making sense to them. Hope things they should start using hypnosis to get some answers. Down in the tunnels, Mel manages to catch Andrew off-guard and grab his phone. She calls Chad when her captor’s back is turned. She tries telling him where she is but the connection sucks and then Andrew catches her and takes the phone away. Chad managed to glean that she’s under the city. Brady just happens to walk by and overhear the conversation. He guesses she must be in the underground tunnels and they run off together to search. Gabi is also snooping around in the tunnels. Further along, Mel has been bickering with Andrew as they move further in. It’s dark so he lights a flame, resulting in an explosion. Gabi approaches them. Andrew and Mel are confused by the blast. Gabi and Andrew bicker, making Mel even more confused. Gabi tries convincing him to run but he won’t budge. Mel freaks out when she sees sparks. Andrew is about to tell her about Gabi’s role in her abduction when another explosion hits. The debris knocks him out. Gabi tries to help him escape. Brady rushes in to rescue Mel and Chad is on the verge of attacking Andrew when the next explosion hits and Horton Square falls on top of them. Meanwhile, John and Ian have it out as Madison anxiously wait for Brady to show up for their wedding. The wait comes to an end when another explosion hits. Across the square, Nicole collapses in pain as the ground gives way and Daniel gets caught in the falling debris.

TFP. I'm almost scared to say it because I was excited about last year's reboot, and while MarDar's Salem was a definite improvement , it was a little on the dull & meandering side, but these spoilers sound amazing. :sheep:

"Curl up to watch it"
I want to take that literally but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't. Would be cute if they did though.

Austin's death leading to a Carrie/Kate feud is definitely a missed opportunity. Kate giving Carrie that dagger a few weeks ago was pure entertainment.

Wonderful! Over at SOC, the WFFSS (WilSon FanFic/Speculation Society) were SO sure the Spoilers clearly indicated Sonny teaming up with Will to "TAKE DOWN EJ!!!" And NOW, the fuller Spoilers reveal that, in actuality, Will convinces Sonny to help him CLEAR his beloved EJ!!!!

Sami and Will make their true allegiance crystal clear, and Will even gets his secret admirer to help him get EJ off the hook. Silly WFFSS!!!

Every day is a new opportunity to laugh!!!!!!!!

These spoilers sound so awesome.

I love that Sami rips into EJ when she learns he is a Dimera but then has his back when he needs her. I cannot wait to see Sami going in front of a bullet for EJ; yes, we are coming full circle and I could not be happier.

The explosion should be good; I do not think anything really happens to Sami, EJ may have a grip of her some how.

Well, TomSell originally proposed scrapping the last year as a dream or story, a la DALLAS, but that was nixed by NBC. Destroying the HTS even partially is probably their way of having their denied cake. That, as well as Madison's death, plus Ian, too, and maybe Jack... all MarDar elements.

I wonder if we will ever find out which parts of the cliffhanger were MarDar's ideas and which were TomSell's tweaks? :hh:

Oh if only Sami could die when she fell through the ground, I would be the happiest person in the world.

I don't think MarDar would have killed Madison or Ian, their own creations.

Molly gave her notice AFTER MarDar were fired.

CC was fired due to TomSell, not MarDar.

Probably the explosions and EJami stuff are MarDar, but the rest sounds like re-writes based on what happens to the characters.

A whole week of Sami, I will totally be skipping all of her scenes except for the one where she gets attacked and the one where she almost dies, I would totally look at those scenes.

AND the LOVE EJ displays trying to save her as well? Enjoy that, too? ;)

Where is this explosion happening, the Dimera mansion set explodes?

No, the DiMera Mansion is not part of the explosion. At least not on the 27th.

Most of them are together when the explosion occurs.
