The glove and camera thing bugs the crap out of me and has from the time it was spoiled. I agree that it makes EJ look guilty of something - why throw away gloves that turn out to have gun powder residue on them? We know he wanted to avoid giving them any circumstantial evidence - but it clearly makes him look guilty. Of course, the fact that Abe saw him at the DiMansion that night shooting the sconces could also come in to play - but we haven't exactly seen Abe jumping up to tell the cops what he saw, despite the fact that everyone knows Abe was there and left his gun.

Then finding the gloves taped behind a painting in his apartment? How the hell does that NOT look like a set up to anyone with eyes? Why would the killer not only keep the gloves but bother to hide them behind a painting? Why not in a box? Or drawer? Or gee...just get rid of them? It's so stupid.

It would have made much more sense for Sami to notice security cameras hanging in the hallway to the apartment building and suggesting to EJ they check the tapes to see if anyone can be seen breaking into his apartment. Problem solved.

But at the end of the day - as stupid as this is written, it's just par for the course. As someone else said it's no more unbelievable than watching Daniel, Maggie and Nicole pouring through potential evidence in Melanie's kidnapping at the police station. Or the poster prominently displaying the suspects in Stefano's murder for all to see. Or everyone and their brother finding out and believing EJ is not a blood DiMera based on a letter written by Alice years ago. Writing believable, sensible beats in stories has been lacking from this show for a very long time - both before and during MarDar's tenure.
Yeah, the glove nonsense is dumb. Why not burn the damn things? Evidence GONE! Who would tape them to a painting??? That one was weird.

Not burning Alice's letter is even stupider than not burning in gloves.

The glove and camera don't seem too outrageous, because from the old play "Witness for the Prosectution" to the O.J. Simpson trial, establishing the suspect's being set up is often enough to get them off. It's more a matter of establishing reasonable doubt than proving innocence.

Is anything else on besides Ejami? I am watching a clip and keep rewinding it.
That's what I keep asking. And that explains the ratings.
Oh how lovely, the ratings get blamed on one couple..yet again :eyeroll:

Not going there, again :fp2:

Although I would like to have a strong talking to to Will for being so stupid about the letter (really, William, I expected better of you), I really like that all the various plot threads today are entwined and building to a big thing. That's how I like to see soaps written, with everything inter-related.

Lucas stealing the letter is an obvious rewrite and they failed to fix the follow up. Marlena even said "you found it because it fell out of Will's backpack."

At least she was voice of reason stating that Lucas should have talked to him first.
You know, the way that Lucas hung his head when Marlena said that made me wonder if he told her that it fell out of Will's bag. I think she would have been pretty upset to know that he actually found it by snooping.
That is what I got from that too. I think he lied to Marlena about it falling out. I hope that is what happens and that it is not rewritten, because I think there is more drama that way. I don't know how Will would know though unless he knows that the backpack was zipped up or something, and I don't think it was. It could have fallen out and Will would never really know...unless he sees it on those video cameras in the pub. :D Not sure they'd go that far. Anyway, I also just wanted to say that Will's face at the end when he walks into the police station broke my heart. :'(

Unless Will gets his hands on the video surveillance footage of the Pub?

They did show the guy installing new cameras.

I saw someone on twitter say Sonny deserved a handjob after digging through that garbage for Will. That pretty much sums it up, so I'm stealing it. I'd really like to see Sonny end up with Brian for a while. I like Wilson and Ejill and don't want either of them to end for good, but I really don't care for the way Will roped Sonny into all this, then ran off leaving Sonny standing there. He understandably has a lot on his mind, but he kind of owes Sonny.

EJAMI were even better on the big screen.

I was surprised at how engaging the John/Ian stuff was. MarDar should have had them sharing scenes from the beginning, especially since they were going to connect Ian to the Dimera family. It's also nice that Kate still has an affinity for John. Of course that's exactly the way it should be, but sometimes it's surprising when they do something right.

Lucas...so smug and sure he's found the missing part of the puzzle and yet, so very wrong. lol. I hope this all blows up in his face.

Thanks! Some brilliant person on deviant art made that! :)

And I agree with you. But I would say that Sonny deserves a hell of a lot more than a handjob for digging through the trash with Will, a bj or full on intercourse. Really, the trash? I do hope he starts dating Brian, because Will takes that boy's friendship for granted.

I have two wishes regarding Wilson. One that Will really does have a chance to use his EJ-taught powers for good to really, truly help Sonny, at risk to himself. Two, Will has to deal with the fact that Sonny starts dating Brian, who is frankly, hotter, taller and probably more ethical and realistically a better match for Sonny (except for the fact that they are probably both tops). But still, Brian was on one day and he wasn't weasely, he was confident, strong and he showed some concern/tough love for Sonny. I want Wilson, but Will better work for it.

I love every word of this post, Honeybees! I, too, want Sonny to start dating Brian because Will simply hasn't earned it from Sonny yet nor does he have a place in his life for Sonny. Sonny has been on the show for over a year now and he has not had a single moment of his personal life on screen. A Brian and Sonny date could be the best thing to happen to both of those guys as well as to Will.

How is is that wardrobe finally figures out how to make Christie look beautiful a few days before she leaves, yet Ali looks so horrendous?

Whoa, what is up with Kate's tights? They were lots and lots of awful.

John and Ian were great together.

Lucas was smug. And selfish (did he bother to stop and think how this will affect Will?)

EJ and Sami were adorable. Love these two working together, on the same side.

Carrie looked gorgeous, but her good-bye to Rafe was pretty dull stuff.

And, again, the Three Smugstateers. Oi. How long will Days fans be forced to endure their scenes?

Holy fuck! I just watched this! EJ teasing the truth out of Sami. Omg that was hot and cute at the same time! Like a choreographed dance! Just oh. My.god! I feel weak after watching that!

Lucas, you self-important imbecile. Marlena was awesome (and I don't often say that). I'm liking all the airtime Jarlena are getting. And it's purposeful. I feel like this is new writing. It feels different. More integrated.

Loved Will, as usual. Loved that Sonny was willing to go through garbage with him. That is love!

I'm embarrassed to admit that Carrie made me cry.

Lord-a-Mercy! James Scott is the sexiest man alive! :hail: 50 shades of sexy and seductive is in the house!

I never thought, even as recently as yesterday, that anything Days did in regard to EJami would pull me in like it did in early 2007. "Too little, too late" I thought and less than 24 hours after that, I have to say I was wrong. James and Ali totally brought it today. I loved EJ-his confidence, his cockiness, his "hungry eyes" on Sami as soon as he saw her! I saw a Sami that was really concerned for EJ and it was so great to see her scheming to help EJ-she is losing the battle of denying there is anything between her and EJ. THIS has quickly gone a long way in lessening my Sami hate, which had me wishing her dead everyday since around July 2010.

Sami has almost always disappointed me where EJ is concerned and I still need to see a lot more from her. I want to see Sami finally admit that she loves EJ, shout it from the rooftops and say those words "I Love You EJ DiMera-always have, always will".

The best part was just when Sami was ready to give in and kiss EJ, he walks away leaving her all hot and bothered as he unties his tie, unbuttons his shirt and takes his sexy self up the stairs. Wonder what Sami will be thinking/dreaming about tonight?

Was anyone else even on today? :tounge:

Yeah, I'm not trudging through 12 pages of gushing.

You can obviously tell that there are rewrites going on. Little by little, stories, scenes, and episodes (heck, the entire show) have a completely different feel and flow.

When Carrie said to Roman that "For a lot of reasons, we've decided to leave tomorrow" in my head I heard her finish with "The number one reason is that there was a change in head writers." And I have to REALLY hand it to Christie Clark. No matter what the scene, she ALWAYS gives it 100%. The story might be loaded with WTFery, but she never fails to put her all into it. I also really liked that good-bye moment between Roman & Carrie and I thought both Clark & Taylor played that nicely.

The John/Marlena Ian/Kate showdown in HTS was nearly orgasmic for me because this sort of faceoff should've happened months ago. I also like how John & Marlena are dealing with Brady's story (more than Brady is at the moment on screen) which is another way I can tell that MarDar have left the building. They had everyone SO islanded into their own stories. I also liked the sideways reference to John & Kate's history. That said, DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN WHAT THE FUCK WAS KATE WEARING?! It didn't look that bad close up, but once she walked away?! Who in their right mind other than Helen Keller wear all of that brown with the NEON piss-green tights?! Jesus be a stylist. I do admit that I liked Kate's hair style today, but can the hairdressers PLEASE stop this obvious contest to see exactly how many different colors they can put into her hair? Right now, it looks calico with a bug chunk of blue mange.

Dare I say it, but I actually liked the EJ/Sami scenes today. IMO, THIS is how they should be written and I thought they each played off of their *difficult* past (to say the least) well. My primary problem with the pairing has never been the chemistry (which, to be honest, is quite often not utilized appropriately, but was really focused on today), but the sheer amount of WTFery and violence drenching any potential pairing. Of course, it's never helped them that TPTB have never seemed to be able to make up their minds what the hell they want to do with them. I swear there's a giant "Wheel of Fanbases" in the writers room and the simply give it a spin every so often & where it lands is what direction they write the story. I do have to say that little speach by Sami about her and EJ's relationship was quite possibly the most accurate, most succinct description of the couple I've ever seen on screen. IMO, they need to copy that monologue and attach it to the official couple breakdown the writers use.

David Levinson can be rather uneven as a writer, but I thought he hit a home run with today's episode. IMO, it's been the best of the week so far.
ICAM but now I have to rewatch to check out the piss green tights of Kate's.

Yeah, I gotta check out those tights, for the children, of course. :D

It was really nice not wanting to slap the taste of of Carrie's mouth. Really enjoyed her scenes with Roman, of all people.
