It absolutely concerns the writers. A character could be in every single episode, but merely hanging out in the background. Instead, EJ is in 98% of the episodes, and he's also in 98% of the scenes. An episode guarantee doesn't force them to put a character in every storyline or on the front burner nonstop. |

If every single writing regime gives the same actor 90% of the screen time, then that tells me there's something behind the writing regimes and they all don't just come into working at DAYS with the same idea of having EJ on day in and day out. |

You've been talking for weeks about the "something behind the writing regimes" like it was something new. Ultimately, it doesn't matter whose idea it is. It's a bad one, and they need to fix it. |

I'll believe it when I see it! I was so hopeful last year & look how that turned out. :shame: ED's return is the only thing I'm looking forward to. With each passing day Peter's exit draws nearer & nearer & that just makes my heart ache. :( |

Stefano is coming back? AGAIN??? ALREADY???? Gawd this show is so predictable and it highly sucks!!! Not that I don't love Stefano, because I do, but I am tired of people never really dying! |

I'm still pissed about Jack's exit, but I'll give the new writers a chance - at least Blake Berris's return will be worth tuning in for. |

Even though I would love it if he did, I don't think he will, simply because she is the mother of his children and not because of any great love he has for Samantha. He is fine with doing things like putting a stranger in her bed, and feel no way about the stranger having sex with her, and he is fine with pretending to be concerned and loving towards her over her child being kidnapped, even though he was the one that kidnapped her, but I don't think he wishes her dead. He would not deliberately drop her. I think he will unfortunately try his best to save her. If she falls, the show will probaby end with us not knowing whether she is dead or alive. I hope they are giving us way more than that with this cliffhanger to make the rest of us want to tune back in after the break, and not make it alll about Sami. It realy would be shocking if EJ deliberately droped her. |

I think everyone in the cast will be in some kind of danger at the end of the cliffhanger episode, some obviously more than others. I think the whole point of the cliffhanger is to try to engage every fan base and leave them wondering what happens to their favorites. I hope they manage to do just that. |

I'm starting to think EJ won't drop Sami on purpose because the events as described so far could lead to them plausibly being seen as even, considering their sordid history. She helps him then prevents him from getting sniped or whatever. Then he saves her from death. That's a pretty level playing field from which to develop a romance. Though I would love for him to drop her ass. And then fall. I may be the only one, but I don't want Stefano back. He hasn't been scary in years, and I can't get over the Vendetta storyline. I can't imagine him re-integrating into Salem life in a meaningful way that doesn't make other people seem stupid, and I can't imagine them letting him be a balls-out villain, either. Oh well. At least there's Kristen! |

I think Stephano will reappear just in time to keep EJ from being convicted. |

James Scott, Shawn Christian and Casey Deidrick being happy doesn't mean much to me, though I don't begrudge them their attitude. But in terms of what I personally want to see on the show, it's just a bunch of Charlie Brown Adultspeak. Blah blah blah, I'll believe it when I see it. The one positive for me here is that they won't drop sideline Will's homosexuality; let's hope they do right by it, no cop-outs and no cliches. |

They won't. Too many fanbases have already checked out. I don't think they'll ever again succeed at engaging more than about two or three groups at a time. |

I'm so glad to hear they are making an effort to not do their usual whiplash inducing changing of the guard. I'm so tired of the dropped storylines and missed opportunities I've seen over the years when they change writers. In the meantime, I'm definitely feeling the tweak vibe happening on the show already. The Tomsell touch is beginning to show...whether that's good or bad remains to be seen. The one thing I do know is I'm enjoying the hell out of what I'm seeing and I want to see a helluva lot more of it. I'm stoked for the cliffhanger and I don't believe for two seconds that EJ would EVER drop Sami on purpose especially in the context of the story we are seeing develop right now...which by the way is the shiz. |
