Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
lol-she always butts into her kids lives.
she has enough on her plate right now per what they are giving us onscreen; hell Carrie mucked up and got away with a warning lol.
WOW what's up with that? Back in the day, Kate would have tried to kill her!
maybe the baby saved her

the gift of the knife was classic though, freaking loved that scene

The Will and Sonny scene at the DiMansion with Sonny asleep on the sex couch with Will sitting by his feet with a partially unbuttoned shirt is the clearest indication so far of what is down the road for these two characters. It's not a moment too soon!

Will acting just like his momma did when she was his age will always be truth to me. Especially if it is a dysfunctional crush on EJ as the catalyst and we already know he is pissed at both his mother and his father so his justification for it in his mind is solid.

I love how all this is being called truthtelling. Like anything that is pimping EJami is automatically truth. But truth comes from a characters true identity and solidly based characteristics.

Will standing beside EJ while showing no loyalty to his family will never be truth. Sami fighting at all cost to help EJ will never be truth because it's not organic. It's not true to character or to history.

There is nothing true about it.

They should instead be trying to put an innocent man being framed in jail because that shows loyalty? If Roman Lucas hates EJ and decides he's guilty
then Sami and Will must agree and fall in line with that?

Roman and Lucas are being portrayed as fools. Anyone on that side are shown as idiots. Will standing by an innocent person he believes is being framed isn't a flaw against his family. Sami not wanting her childrens father to go to jail for a crime he didn't commit and her having to take the kids to jail to visit and explain things to them isn't a flaw either.

The flaws are from the people who don't care if he's innocent or not, who just want him in jail because of who he is while the real shooter is out there free and having heart to hearts with Kate.

We know the hold that couch has over everyone. Maybe they already used it for more than sleeping.

Seriously - if they were straight characters I would assume that had been having sex the night before. I wonder if it was meant to imply they were at least making out. I actually hope not, because I want to see their first kiss onscreen, dammit.

Granted, this show does have a tendency to screw up just about everything; but I do not think TPTB are stupid enough to ruin a moment like that for the only new relationship which people actually give a damn about seeing.

Aw! I really enjoyed the Kate/Austin goodbye scenes Lauren and Patrick did a wonderful job. I am glad Austin got to say goodbye to his mother.

I am telling you the writers better give me some more of my favorite character Kate or I am going to be quite upset damn it. I may even have to cut a bitch. ;)

I want to see more of Kate. I noticed how her scenes were very brief today. I absolutely want more of her on my screen in the near future. Lauren is fantastic and she deserves to be on more in my opinion. I hope the writers write more storylines for her.

I really did think the Chad and EJ scenes were very strong. CD brings his A game to scenes with JS, and I think if they do want Chad to be the young, straight male romantic guy - they should develop a relationship between EJ and Chad as brothers. EJ has everything except common decency, which Chad seems to be developing in spades.

Platonic relationships make characters more interesting.

And it can't be said often enough - Sonny sooooo has it bad for Will.

Awe, today's episode broke my little "Caustin" heart! I'm really going to miss these two. Two bad their returns were wasted on a dumb triangle with Rafe. Sigh.

Where were Austin's goodbyes with Billie? Lucas? Hell, I would've even settled for a final scene with Abigail, too. Lol. And what about Carrie? She didn't say goodbye to Marlena, Caroline, "Bope", even Sami... Imagine how great that could have been! Ugh.

Also, I really hope Kate has a big story in the fall. I wish they would use Lauren Koslow more, because I always find Kate fascinating.

So, are they trying to foreshadow Rafe/Sami in the future now that Carrie is leaving? PLEASE, Days, don't be that predictable and that disgusting!

The scenes with Austin and Kate were great - but it made me feel so bad for Austin. Really makes me think poorly of Carrie. Why don't they do what Christie Clark wishes and make Carrie more like her mother if they are going to write these kinds of storylines for her? I would have preferred Carrie as a good girl type, but the writers keep on destroying that. Bring back Belle.

Great to see Sami & Will working together to help E.J. and I also liked to see the Bo/Hope interactions with Gabi today.

I loved the little smile Sonny had when he was looking at Will laboring away on that computer. So sweet, and so telling.

I was thinking the same thing. This is the first episode where Casey has impressed me with in long time. Actors new to the business really do need to work with veteran actors more often to sharpen their skills, and developing platonic relationships absolutely make characters more interesting. IMO, one of the reasons that Sami has so many ships is because the character was developed before any of her couples, and that's a big reason Bradison didn't fly.

Today's conversation with Will and Sami clicked far better than recent Will and Lucas scenes. Actors just didn't seem to be able to connect onscreen, and based on spoilers, I had been expecting fireworks. :huh1:

Sonny didn't have much screen time today, but in it, he acted the way I would've after spending the night in DiMera mansion - voice of the audience so to speak! :tounge:

I actually really enjoyed today's episode and it held my attention all the way through.

I *thoroughly* enjoyed the Will/Sami scenes and thought they were some of the best in quite a while. I also loved the back & forth they had about Sami/EJ's past transgressions. Will admired EJ for always loving Johnny & Sidney. Sami retorted that he loved them so much he tried to keep her from ever seeing them again. Will retorted that it was after she shot him in the head. She retorted that THAT was after he kidnapped Sidney & made her believe she was dead. I thought that exchange was EXTREMELY well written. When I found out Carolyn Culliton was today's script writer, I shouldn't have been surprised.

Rafe told Carrie that it took a long time for him to get over Sami. Um... really? Rafe, you got over her in about the same amount of time as it took an ice cube to melt. smh

And did Carrie change her hair between her tearful goodbye with Rafe & when she showed up at the pub? It looked different.

I liked how Bo & Hope were on their "A" game and could tell Gabi wasn't being 100% truthful & then began to play cat & mouse with her to find out what she was hiding. I thought all of those scenes were well done.

I wasn't particularly taken with the EJ/Chad scenes because Deidrick seemed to be too obviously "ACK-TING" to me instead of just being Chad reacting to EJ's news. And when he said "You're in handcuffs? Have you been arrested?" Not much gets past Chad, does it? Except maybe his girlfriend being missing for weeks.

I swear that this kidnapping has actually made me *almost* like Melanie for the first time in, like, EVER. I'm embarrassed to say that I would not necessarily be opposed to a Melanie/Andrew pairing.

I really liked today's episode. Only thing I didn't like was Gabi. She sucks at lying.
Really liked EJ/Chad I actually believed they were brothers. I think Tomlin needs to as other people said get Casey working with the vets more.

Honestly, the fact that Chad isn't the sharpest tack could be a really fun character trait, especially since he's a DiMera. Scenes of EJ and a resurrected Stefano trying to teach him the family business could be amazing. Especially because CD does manage to make Chad come off as a sweet, decent guy.

EJ: We've got this money from a Mexican cartel we're feeding through our swiss accounts, Chad.
Stefano: So, what do you think we should do with it, son?
Chad: Report it to the DEA?
(EJ and Stefano face palm in unison.)

I didn't know if my love for the Sami and Will tête-à-tête was caused primarily by my admitted EJami bias, but IMO, the dialogue was brilliant. EJ and Sami's horrible deeds weren't done in a vacuum. They're both reactors, for whom "don't get mad, get even" is the golden rule.

As tedious as this kidnapping has been in places (is it ever going to end?), both Molly and the guy playing Andrew are giving it 100%. :applause:
