Happy to hear that Kristen is going to return a "changed" woman, since we all know that won't last long, LOL.
I'm really not happy about it. It seems like a waste of time to me. Just let her own her evil side. The good girl act that worked in 96-97 is just unnecessary now.
I figure it will all be an act to engender trust so she can manipulate people. The audience will probably be in on her schemes shortly after her return even though it will take the on-screen characters longer. I'm good with that.
But who's going to buy that? Anyone who knows Kristen will just end up looking stupid.
I don't know, probably most everybody. Stupid seems to be the default position for characters on this show. I don't care if Kristen is openly evil or evil-pretending-to-be-good, so long as she's ultimately evil.

Oh, I'm sure it will all be a facade and she hasn't sincerely changed. But I don't even want her pretending to be good. I want Kristen to be a brazen, unapologetic out-and-out bitch as soon as she hits town -- especially to Marlena.

What year is this?

remember Eileen's tweet after her first week where she said "it's good to be BAD"......so I'm thinking "good Kristen" is an act from the get-go, and we'll get to see that......I hope

Eileen said that Kristen had received years of therapy. I wonder if she meant spiritual therapy? (Kristen used to be very religious.) There's a rumor that Eric has become a priest, so I wonder if Eric was Kristen's spiritual adviser? There could be some good drama if Eric came to Salem and supported Kristen while everyone else ostracized her. Marlena would be horrified to see that Eric had gotten so close to her mortal enemy. And then Eric could leave the priesthood and hook up with Kristen, which would be absolutely delicious!

There's also that tweeted picture of John, Marlena, Kristen, and the little girl. If John is the child's father, then maybe Kristen will use the child as leverage in her attempt to take over DiMera Enterprises. Or maybe Eric is the father of the little girl. In that case, Marlena would be forever tied to Kristen because Marlena would be grandmother to Kristen's daughter.

I've never seen Eileen not be Kristen or one of the Banks siblings, so that was interesting for me.

I'm torn on the "reformed" Kristen/balls-out evil Kristen debate. As long as the writers commit, and if she's evil that should be made clear to the audience ASAP, in my opinion, so it doesn't come off like some bs they're making up as they go along. And because part of the fun of Kristen was knowing what she was up to.

She may not be wasted on Chad, though, if she ingratiates herself with him and then manipulates him. IA with whoever said the actor has no presence. He'd be the perfect pawn...if there were anyone in his age group he'd be interacting with. Who's gonna be left, Gabi? He's kind of distant from Will at this point.

As long as she avoids Daniel, I think I'll probably be able to find some fun in it.

I'll also still hold out hope for a super-dramatic entrance. Showing up for some lame-ass business bullshit having been chillin' in Europe is underwhelming, imho.

I hate to say this but now I'm nervous about her homecoming. I know she can't say a whole lot but something just seemed-- I don't know---off. I guess I don't see her as excited as what I thought she would be for some odd reason. Even with that being said, I'm still curious to see what happens with her and this return.

I agree. She didn't sound that excited to me either. I hope she gets some decent stuff.

Great interview! The interviewer actually seemed to have done her homework. Perhaps a fan herself?

I'm looking forward to Kristen's scenes with John, Marlena, EJ, Kate and yes, even Chad. It sounds like she's coming back for business related matters, probably DiMera Enterprises. That's also probably why she's in scenes with Chad. Maybe she's trying to sway him on her side, against whomever (probably John and Marlena), so she can have his interests to control.

I think it was wise to have her not still be on the island after 14 years. I hope it's explained, though, why she never made contact with anyone back in Salem. I don't want it to just be stated that she's been in Europe for all these years, and then move onto the next thing. There needs to be a reason why she never contacted Stefano or anyone else.

Seeing Davidson back on a DAYS set just makes me so much more excited.

Great Interview! I'm glad John & Marlena don't trust Kristen at all. I do hope they explain how Kristen escaped the island though.

Also, loved that tease at the end by Eileen.

I might also point out that Deidrick does a lot better in scenes with the vets. It's like he brings his game to those scenes because he has to, rather than when he's in scenes with the younger cast. I think that was one of the reason he and Chandler Massey worked so well with each other. Deidrick knew he had to bring his game in scenes with Massey, so not to be upstaged, due to Massey being a great actor himself. Deidrick really isn't a terrible actor. His character just sucks and he's been stuck in scenes with subpar actresses (Burnett and Banus).

Agreed. And it MUST be acknowledged that everyone in Salem (Stefano notwithstanding if he's around when she comes back) thought she was dead this whole time.

Great interview! Cant wait to see Kristen back on Days! 3 months seems sooo far away :hmmph:

I'm assuming she was referring to seeing WilSon kissing scenes. I want to support WilSon, but not feeling them right now. I still want CHILL  I just hope Will doesn't go back to just being solely a good guy or only interacting with the younger crew.

I can't wait to see Kristen's scenes with everyone -John, Marlena, EJ, Chad, Kate! Definitely going to be some DiMera Enterprise drama going on. I'm sure Kristen may try to convince the Salemites that she's reformed, but hopefully the badass deceptive Kristen will emerge! I want to see more bitchtastic scenes between Kristen & Marlena when they're fighting over John

I'm fine with it. Eileen has tweeted "Its good to be bad!!!" which means it will hopefully be obvious to the viewer that she's scheming. She said that John and Marlena aren't over the things she's done in the past so that should make J&M happy. I don't see any excitement coming from Eileen, but i don't think she really wanted to return to DAYS at all. It was basically all she could do. Maybe over time she will learn to enjoy it again.

I rolled my eyes when I saw her come in and give Chad that look. PLEASE for the love of Christ don't make her Chad's mom. Jessica Tuck is a bad ass and if they wanted Chad to have a bitchy mom she should have stuck around. We don't need Kristen being Chad's random mother and Stefano not really being his dad. I don't want the character attached to the DiMeras at all, but I much prefer it left that way than having him be John and Kristen's son. That wouldn't shock me at all.

I am still as excited as I ever was. Think they would have done better to have little clips of her working with Kate or EJ or John and Marlena. Not CHAD! But that's probably the day they were okayed for the interview so its whatever. Wardrobe doesn't look as terrible as it did in the pics with Deidre Hall. I am looking forward very much to the DiMera business storyline. Susan will be back at some point. Pretty obvious. Hopefully not for too long.

I don't care what anyone says... that interview just got me super-pumped for Eileen/Kristen/(Susan?)'s return.

And... is it just me, or does Eileen look different? Has she had work done?

I was very happy with this interview and honestly don't understand the negative reaction some are having. First of all - this is what Eileen's interviews are like. She doesn't gush. And truthfully, some who do gush get blasted for it, because the scene doesn't usually meet whatever expectations they've set. Eileen is cool and collected in interviews, she always has been, and that doesn't bother me.

As for Chad, that scene looked to me like her first 'entry' scene, which they often tape. (Remember Drake and Deidre walking into the HTS? We saw the behind-the-scenes b-roll of that.) She probably goes up to him, asks him where to find someone (Stefano?), he fills her in, he realizes who she is.

She looked to me also to be very cautious in giving out spoilers, which doesn't surprise me with the current atmosphere. Aside from pics and who she's working with (in a very few cases), we've heard almost nothing. I wouldn't expect an interview like this to be different.

Overall, imo, she has a great grasp of history, she remembers the fun moments (and not how to get there - that was cute), and she looks excited. Can't ask for more at this stage.

^ She looks the same to me and is a prime example of aging well.

I'm holding onto hope that Eileen's teaser at the end means that Kristen really hasn't changed much but is just pretending she has so she can get what she wants.

Kristen isn't truly reformed. Eileen has tweeted as much. "It's good to be bad" and all that. As long as she's still a bad girl I don't have a problem with her pretending to have changed... at least in the beginning. As for Eileen's level of enthusiasm, that's how she always is in interviews. Like Ellie said, she doesn't gush. I, personally, loved the interview!
