This is a tribute someone did for Bill Hayes. Some Days clips are included. Not sure what's going on in the last scene with Doug and Julie.

Mickey seems a little nuts here.

JASON47's FROM THE VAULT: WHO'S WHO IN DAYTIME TV (1976)...

Also features a nice color photo of Edward Mallory and a look back at the early years of Fran Myers (the long-time "Days" writer and current script editor), back when she was an actress.

I was on a break during the Salem Stalker murders so I missed some Doug/Hope & Doug/Julie flashbacks after Doug was "murdered." Specifically, at around 4:00, Doug/Hope, including little Natasha Ryan. I always thought she was so cute. There are several Doug/Julie flashbacks but of note is one that I haven't seen elsewhere; at around 11:00, a scene that must be from 1975 when Julie was still married to Bob Anderson and pregnant with his baby.

Matt, I found the 9/6/88 scene where Gabrielle says goodbye. Didn't have to upload it to Youtube, since it was already there:

They alluded to it being John for a little while, but Greta's father was never revealed, and she left the show in 2002.

It really is amazing to see the difference in production values from then to today. Just watch that scene from 9:20 to 13:40 where everyone is waiting while Britta is in surgery. Characters come and go, they move around, and different conversations take center stage, all in what appears to be a single take. When was the last time Days had scenes like that? It's so much more dynamic than today's show.

Right before leaving Greta said she wished John was her father.

This is Doug and Julie's January 1993 reunion. They hadn't been seen on screen together since March 1984 (they were divorced off-screen). Doug had faked being injured to get her to come to Switzerland. Thanks to Jason47 for providing the air date.

Thanks for the Doug and Julie clip. So much romance and melodrama and poignancy packed into such a short reunion. Makes you wonder what might have been if they'd given them a little more airtime. Still, at least they did let them reunite oncamera.

Fake paralysis is fitting since I think paralysis may be the only thing neither of them ever had.

(or did Doug once have paralysis?)
