Days needs to start looking at the ratings (the one thing that can't be spammed) and spend less time on twitter and message boards.
I think they have; EJOLE and SAFE did not bring it, so why not go with the one that has yet to get a real shot.

getting into this ratings discussion is likely to backfire...because the last time I remember that the show even increased in viewers was during 2009 and that was a year that featured Safe and Ejole heavily.....just saying....

funny enough though 2009 was about how much EJ still loved Sami while married to Nicole before he kicked her ass out, so even that is not a good reference ;)

That being said, I never dwell on ratings and for eg. try to prove 2010 was on EJAMI when they were on for like 10 eppys in May, no I am not doing that; just stating that NONE brought ratings, so that should not be used as an reason why EJAMI should not be given a chance.

and this is exactly my point; therefore if we have gone down the road of all the others, we can try the one not yet done. ;)

off course it was; couples were not the focus back then given that some who were together were dreaming of another.

All of the others? You are talking about 4 people here (5 if you count Lucas). The rest of the cast needs to be featured too. We need better writing and better balance. Putting EJ and Sami together isn't going to solve ANYTHING. Neither is Sami and Rafe, etc.

Ejami's always at the forefront. Look at the list of featured characters. EJ and Sami are consistently at the top, and often they're featured having scenes together. They're on again, off again all the time.

What's NEW about this? We've seen the same song and dance for six years, with every verse being similar to the one before. In between we've had Sami shooting EJ in the head, and EJ angling to get custody of Johnny and Sydney away from Sami and proclaiming love for Nicole in THEIR own on again off again relationship, such as it is.

So what's really new? What's supposed to grab us? If you're already an Ejami, I guess it sounds promising, but it's a cycle...and a fairly repetitive one. It's a nonstop merry go round for those three characters, with occasional guest appearances by Lucas, who reunites with Sami but always loses to EJ.

It's just the same story for those characters. What's new and refreshing about it?

EJAMI were together after the Sydney kidnapping and they were about to get married. So, does that count as given a chance?

I do not know what the rest of the cast will have to do with the couples mix that go on between EJAMI/EJOLE/SAFE/LUMI because this is what I was talking about.

we are past the point of really solving anything IMO, its makes the best with what we have.

Well with the recent departures and additions that must play a role in how they will write the show. I mean there will be different dynamics to play with. The Dimeras need to get their Mojo back and give those Hortons something to be morally superior about and the Bradys something to fight with. Only time will tell what Days post-Olympics will bring us.

Off the top of my head, them not trying to kill each other, EJ not made into a cartoon villian so super hero Rafe can swoop in and save the day.

Quoted for truth! :hail: There's nothing new or exciting about teasing with Ej/Beast for the 100th time. It's the same fucking song and dance, that needs to be put to rest so other fans can actually enjoy the show.

Nothing is. This has completely turned me off not that I was expecting much different to begin with.

Well the EJAMI relationship, or whatever you want to call it, will probably not last until the end of the year. They will find some way to ruin them.
I don't either, Keep posting! :)
When is Days Of Our Lives ever going to learn? We don't want to see EJ and Sami on our screens every single day hogging up the screen. I don't like the couple because of the nasty things they did to each other. The Sami I know, would never forgive EJ for the things he has done. And EJ, well he isn't forgiving either, unless there is something in it for him.
That's what makes this storyline compelling to me. EJ and Sami, two selfish people, with bad history (though not all of it is bad), are selfless and forgiving for each other. There is redemption through love.
