And the week before last week the ratings were down 200,000 from last year. If this one couple was the blood supply of the show then the ratings would keep increasing instead of bouncing back and forth. JMO. |

Ejami is on almost all the time. If you don't love them, there's almost nothing left for you to watch. It may be new to you but it's six years old to us. We've seen this story between these two characters play out over and over again. You say don't diss it. I don't see how you can expect anything else. There are a lot of us who've become very tired of the same old story told yet again. A lot love Ejami too. But not everyone thinks Ejami is IT. Different opinions are welcome here. |

I agree with the build up.. the last minute or so was the best and they should have started this buildup before and not let it all play put on one episode. They could have made this really good.. I shall be honest.. the only thing that hooked my attention was Sami and EJs runaway. The cave thing was also interesting but the party.. hmm.. It was a OK,.. but it could have been so much better. I FEEL sad about Madison.. they really did not develop her enough. And it was a big fail to have Ian being her husband. Father had worked much better... and again.. not enough Ian. Feels like the new writers has cut away a lot or the old writers simply was not very good on details and really writing good story. To much has been let go and forgotten. The only good that came out of the old writers was the EJAMI build if that was their doing and not the new writers. I also like EJ not being Stefanos son part.. but seriously no DNA test was made..so EJ could be still be a Dimera either by Stefano or someone else. I hope Kristen turns out to be his mother.. |

Random question, but did anyone else feel like the Daniel/Nicole conversation in the lobby was done entirely to showcase the elevator? It was just so...odd, the way it was staged. |

I agree there needs to be more to the show than Ejami. But I think the big issue is there needs to be more to the show than generic interchangeable couples. At some point, the writers have to start making characters worth investing in. They are TOO changeable, not real people. The character you see and like today, is a character you hate and can't stand the next. If there is no integrity to the character, you don't invest because nothing has meaning. There are dilemmas no issues because if the writers want to change something today, they just do it without thinking about whether it makes any sense. At some point, the writers need to figure out who the characters are and stay true to a vision for the character. Unfortunately, it will take time to fix this mess, but they need to have a goal and see it out, not change the second they get worried that it won't go over well. I think the writers used to have such vision for story and characters and cared about their stories. Now it's just a round robin. Edited by Kyrai, Jul 28 2012, 10:09 AM.

And as far as JS goes, I think he was a wonderful addition as Ej. He's been a victim of bad timing and bad writing. There should be so much story for Stefano's son, and his intro was excellent. He could have either been a super new villain or a super new redemption story. I was hoping for redemption personally because I liked him. But I think he came on when Lumi fans were hoping to finally have Sami and Lucas together. Personally, I thought Sami and Lucas were a tired couple by the time Ej came on. It was basically, Sami does something she shouldn't have, Lucas judges her, or she tries not to let him find out. To me, Lucas is tiring as sanctimonious, condescending Lucas. He is better when he's more supportive. Overall, I think had they let Sami and Lucas mature and have some marital bliss before Ej came on, Lumi would have been so boring, he wouldn't have gotten caught in the backlash that he's been under. But one of the things that intrigued me about Ej was that he liked flawed annoying scheming Sami, so if she had settled down to a boring life, he may never have appealed to me the same way. I liked how he seemed so drawn to Sami (even though I had trouble understanding anyone being drawn to Sami as evil as she was). It's a shame he has never been allowed to develop as a character. Because he's interesting, the writers became lazy, and had a field day with changing him all the time to work a story around him. I do agree the show has gone downhill, but it's not JS's fault so much as the writers never doing their job of establishing the integrity of the character and sticking with it. Not to mention, they never developed other characters that needed to grow the show. They've had solid younger characters they could have evolved, Belle, Shawn, Phillip, Brady, Chloe, Eric, Greta, Nicole, Rex, Mimi, etc, but they basically just tossed them out. And the middle tier (the Mike's, Justin's, Jack's, Jennifer's, Melissa's) totally fizzled out. It's such a waste of potential... |

The only thing old about EJAMI is the show's game of bait and switch that they play with them. They give good Ejami scenes, but never follow through on giving them a real chance as a couple. THAT'S what sucks ass. Fans get tired of being played. |

I thought todays show was good, loved the last 10 minutes. If they did this kinda stuff once a month they'd definitely have higher ratings! Regarding the Sami debate on the past few pages... AS may not be the best actress on tv, but I think she does a great job as Sami. She's a core character and is one of the people that make Days, Days. I never feel the need to fast-forward thru her scenes. The hate on here for her is really getting old, as no matter what the thread is, there are negative posts about her. We get it, you don't like her - can we move on already!? Its really making this board insufferable to read. Edited by WGuyMd35, Jul 28 2012, 07:39 AM.

I will never wish this show to be cancelled if I am not getting what I want. I may not watch if it gets to the point where it annoys me to even tune in. (Although I won't post my opinions on those shows I don't watch because no one would take them seriously if I didn't even watch) but, I will just find another show to watch or do something else with that hour in the real world. I will never wish for this show to be cancelled. Luckily, right now I am really enjoying the show. I am truly sorry for those of you who aren't, though. I've been on that side too. Hopefully some new storylines will begin soon and more of us will be happy with the direction in which things are headed. |

After watching 3 episodes of this show after a long hiatus, I have some questions and thoughts: 1. What has happened to Nicole? Is she being drugged - she is so servile and docile like the walking dead. Where did her spark go? Have MarDar been writing her this badly the entire time? Talk about a hatchet job, not to even mention pairing her up with Dr Magic Penis ick. 2. I actually liked the scenes with Gabby/Melanie/Andrew. Melanie has toned herself down, which I appreciate - typical that the annoying characters always become more likeable as they are leaving. Does Rafe know his sister is off the rails? I like that she tarnishes him by association. 3. Ejami/Lucas/Will/Roman are awful. Seriously the show would be so much better without them. And when did Chandler become such a bad actor. He always has this silly grin. Why is he taking acting lessons from Sweeney? 4. Kayla and Abe could be interesting, but there is no story. Unless Steve returns later on... 5. Madison has zero presence. 6. Kate needs to lay off the botox/fillers - Its like the Koz and Dee are having a competition who can screw up their face the most... so sad, two beautiful women doing this to themselves. All in all, it was ok and much better than what I expected. It is a rather boring in parts though. Nancy Williams Watts is not a good script writer despite her reputation (perhaps its just me sampling one script). |

Not sure how it's clear when Sami and EJ were were at the bottom of the airtime for this episode, they must have had 5 minutes in the entire episode. There was more Madison than them. The bulk of this episode was the fundraiser/wedding and the tunnels, not the warehouse set. |

Yes! They hovered around that elevator for so long I thought they were forshadowing one of them being trapped in there. They were there so long that I actually thought to myself that there was someone, somewhere, waiting on that elevator and they were damned pissed that it was taking 30 minutes to get to them. |

Not keen on Abby's blue pantsuit outfit and hair, her beaty was well hidden with this wardrobe selection. I guess a nice short little dress just wouldn't have been appropriate for her upcoming scenes. Makes me wonder what exactly is going to happen. |
