When Roman tells EJ not to move or he will shoot, so Sami steps in front of him and whispers for him to run. Sounds like true love to me, can't think of any other reason Sami would want to save him, even if her gut knows that he didn't kill Stefano. I guess she has her selfish reasons why she doesn't want him to go to jail. I can't think that she is worried about his kids being without him, more than her losing out on running CW. EJ caring enough to try and save EJ, really puts meaning to their relation/friendship. I am interested to see if Sami is left unscathed and go on the run together. Like Ejami originally, not fond of the last few years, but like TPTB restarting them, back to have close apartments together and eventually being there for one another. Like that they didn't have sex, don't mind the sexual tension, as a soap should be.
When i watched the scene, I distinctly saw EJ's hands on Sami pulling her in front of him.

Look, I'm a new viewer to DOOL. I started peeking in about 4 weeks ago and saw Sami and Ej and Will and I gotta tell you - that's what I came back for and am now watching daily to see. I have don't really care about any of the other couples. I'm learning how they're all related by inter-marriages and none of them have what I need to stay tuned into a soap: chemistry between 2 people. Now the actor who plays Ej is nice on the eyes and that's an easy answer so let's talk about Sweeney. What I've seen so far? Failure of the writers to have her say anything other than the same stuff over and over. That's not the actress's fault. Its the writers. She's doing the best she can given a 'holding' pattern storyline but now? We've seen some forward movement. She along with "Will" are coming together for a goal and I haven't seen the show but by the comments? Sami's character hasn't had a goal except her kids. Now she's fighting for justice against her own father. This is getting good. I'm sticking with DOOL for these characters and nothing else. Ratings show an increase of 123,000 people week before this last one we just got done watching. With 38,000 new viewers year over last year. That's me. I'm part of that 38k. Maybe down the line I'll get interested in the others but you want this show to live? This couple is your blood supply. Don't diss it.
And the week before last week the ratings were down 200,000 from last year. If this one couple was the blood supply of the show then the ratings would keep increasing instead of bouncing back and forth. JMO.

Well I will agree with many in saying the last two minutes was the best. The rest was a huge WTF! The set up was very poor. I can understand with all the backstage drama this was probably thrown together very quickly but, how difficult would it have been to start all this a few days earlier. It should have started Monday and built to the cliffhanger Friday.
I was also thinking today what a waste the character of Madison has been. It's a real shame they didn't build the Bradison relationship more. They certainly had the time. Maybe if they did all this drama with she and Brady might have actually meant something to me.
I agree with the build up.. the last minute or so was the best and they should have started this buildup before and not let it all play put on one episode. They could have made this really good.. I shall be honest.. the only thing that hooked my attention was Sami and EJs runaway. The cave thing was also interesting but the party.. hmm.. It was a OK,.. but it could have been so much better. I FEEL sad about Madison.. they really did not develop her enough. And it was a big fail to have Ian being her husband. Father had worked much better... and again.. not enough Ian. Feels like the new writers has cut away a lot or the old writers simply was not very good on details and really writing good story. To much has been let go and forgotten. The only good that came out of the old writers was the EJAMI build if that was their doing and not the new writers. I also like EJ not being Stefanos son part.. but seriously no DNA test was made..so EJ could be still be a Dimera either by Stefano or someone else. I hope Kristen turns out to be his mother..

Ejami is on almost all the time. If you don't love them, there's almost nothing left for you to watch. It may be new to you but it's six years old to us. We've seen this story between these two characters play out over and over again.
You say don't diss it. I don't see how you can expect anything else. There are a lot of us who've become very tired of the same old story told yet again. A lot love Ejami too. But not everyone thinks Ejami is IT. Different opinions are welcome here.
The only thing old about EJAMI is the show's game of bait and switch that they play with them. They give good Ejami scenes, but never follow through on giving them a real chance as a couple. THAT'S what sucks ass. Fans get tired of being played.

funny, i watched the same scene and saw ej trying to push sami out of the way. it was her choice to shield ej. he was urging her to escape. i guess we see what we want to see.

Wait, so EJ used Sami as a human shield to block a bullet meant for him? LOLOL The pushing and pulling between them made it look a bit weird, but NO, Sami put herself infron of him and if the scene itself was not clear enough, the ones before and after sure cleared it up. EJ was trying to keep Sami hidden and she got up while he tried to pull her back and when she got in front of him she REFUSED to move and instructed him to run. So there really is very little room for confusion in what they were intending to convery.
Sami put herself between EJ and Roman and EJ tried to stop her doing it.

How much time did everyone else get in comparison? I know Bope got two minutes. Bope got about 3 minutes without the explosion scene tacked on, so only a minute or so less than EJami. Lexi's fundraiser, which Bope was a part of, got 11:43 seconds of air time. So of that 11:43, approx 3 min. was Bope.
Abe was at least 5 minutes of that time and this included convos with Kayla, Jack and Jen, John and Marlena, etc...So all of these people at this fundraiser basically shared around 12 minutes.
The EJ/Sami catwalk stuff was around 5-6 minutes and that includes what was shared with Roman, Will, and Lucas.
The Tunnel stuff with Mel, Gabbi, Chad, Anfrew, etc...was approx 6 minutes of the show.
SO the fundraiser got the most coverage, followed by the Catwalk stuff and Tunnel scenes which were about dead even. The fundraiser got twice as much time as the other 2 plots.

Well I saw EJ try and push Sami back but she kept coming and then he had to pull he rback from the edge. People see what they wish to see and some will say he is deliberately going to drop her becasue he is playing her. The writing and scenes have been written so believe what you want as it won't change a thing. EJ didin't want her to get up at all so he was hardly using her as a human shield . It wouldn't surprise me to have Roman try and get in a shot at EJ with his daughter standing in front..he is a moron and always has been.

I also thought it looked like EJ pulled Sami in front to use as a shield, she resisted at first, then went along with it.
Should a cop really be threatening to shoot an unarmed man?

The interpretation of EJ pushing Sami in front of him only makes sense if you ignore everything else about the scene. Like EJ telling Sami to stay down. Like EJ pushing her back when she initially tried to move forward. Like Sami willingly standing there in front of him for a number of seconds and telling EJ to run. Like the spoilers that said Sami steps in front of EJ. I don't disagree that in their one take, JS and AS may not have executed it perfectly, but the intent of the scene is obvious.

Um no....He tried to get her to stay down to start with and then puts his arm out in front of her before she gets in front of him, then she grabs his arms and they struggle slightly and then she ends up in front of him with his arm around her waist. At which point he lets go and is standing NOT TOUCHING HER, and she tells him to run! He acts like she's crazy and she again tells him to run. :offs: Yep, that screams human sheild to me. Ha ha ha! That's funny. Days totally spoiled their own story line all wrong when they said Sami jumps in front of her father's gun to protect EJ. :sarcasm:

I just re-watched the show and I went back and replayed the whole thing several times from ejami hiding from the all the way to EJ holding onto Sami for dear life. It might have played out weird but it's clear EJ didn't want her there, let alone standing in front of her, but Sami went for it anyway despite his attempt to keep her back. Then she stood there even after Roman told her to move out of the way and then whispered back to EJ to run. She was using herself as a shield willingly to give EJ a chance to escape. I have no doubt in my mind about that.

Oh did anyone else get the Miami vice vibe from Lucas in white jacket and polo shirt....he really needs to update his wardrobe choices as I about died laughing at him in that outfit Loved when EJ got up and then turned around ,he never took his eyes of Sami. He looked so sad like he would now have to go back to jail and never see her again. James really can conveyed EJ's turmoil .
