Ali's always been a bad actress, but back in the day her phoniness and lack of charisma actually worked for the character. She was supposed to come across as phony and unlikable. Now that they've changed the character, however, Ali's shortcomings as an actress are even more apparent. Watching her play this flawed heroine/object of men's desires is like watching a little girl parade around in her mothers heels and pearls trying to be a big girl. It just isn't believable.

Some folks hate DAYS and some love it.

I hated DAYS for the past several years and now I'm loving it and I can't wait until tomorrow. I loved Sami telling Ej she believed in him, willing to shield him from her father, always finding reasons to seek him out. Yep, I'm loving every minute of it.

Here's hoping that DAYS stays on the air for several more years.

I think it would have been okay to keep EJ & Sami in the forefront, if Jack and Jen had had a SL. This can be said for so many others. Nothing is wrong with Ejami, just that so many other Salemnites and their stories were forgotten and not written. It is not AS or JS's faulty, it DAYS, NBC's, and TIIC. TIIC just didn't get what fans were complaining about, for the most part we love so many of the exisiting characters, we just wanted better writing and more interesting stories. I still would like to know who wanted to bloat the hell of the cast, because this idea is really where misfortune was caused, DAYS could never write good stories with so many great and historicial character, while building new ones like Mad and Ian. Easy come, easy go, except some of the wrong people were on the go.
I absolutely see your point and agree. One of my main concerns with the show is that they have a huge cast but nothing to do with them. Then they end up getting rid of all the wrong people when they thin it out! But okay, maybe that is my opinion, I tell myself. So I wait for them to develop a story with the people they decided to keep, and then nothing! I get that people don't like certain pairings and that is fine, but to blame the actors for everything seems ridiculous when they don't write the show and call the shots. I want to see other stories too, but right now there aren't any good ones that don't include EJ, so I am choosing to rejoice in the fact that for once I like SOMETHING, because that hasn't been the case for quite a while.

ETA: SOrry about all the typos! Sent this from my damned IPhone! lol

Go ahead and email this to the people at Days and see how much credence they will give you. Alison Sweeney have been on the show since 1993 and she ain't going anywhere. It's because of Alison that Days is getting advertising outside of NBC and people on talk shows love her. So go ahead and get her fired( if you can :eyeroll: ) and see how long the show will last when people stop watching the show and they can't get new viewers cause none of the other actors do as much promoting for Days as she does.

SHe doesn't promote Days. She goes on other shows to promote her other projects. You know who got the best promotion for Days? Patrick Muldoon.

Yep. If she happens to mention Days, it's incidental, like when interviewers ask her how Sami is doing. Days seems to be using Deidre for that purpose, which is fine with me.

Actually yes she does promote Days. I've never seen her on any talk show without her mentioning Days and telling people to watch after she promotes her other projects. And you just proved my point, who else have as many projects as Alison does on Days and get a chance to go on talk shows that a lot of people watch, not just small interviews that a few people will see, as she does. Cause I watch talk shows and I barely see the other actors on Days there maybe Galen once or twice in the last year and a half.

Somebody obviously likes Alison, or she wouldn't have so many outside projects and talk show appearances.

Well, the only times I've been at all interested in watching Days this whole year have been the moments Jack was on. That said, I think they did mishandle the character, and they should have used this opportunity to pull out more of 1989 Jack, and they were too stupid to do that and instead went with "Jennifer's choice" and begging Jack. No, Jack should have told Jennifer he wasn't interested in her game, gotten his newspaper back, and tried to ignore Jennifer as much as possible while sharing children. Then the good stuff for JnJ would follow. That being said, Matt Ashford always entertains and tries to bring something to sucky writing, so I was still never bored for the few minutes I saw him, and Jack was broken, so I can believe the neediness to a point, but they needed to move away from it. At any rate, the character of Jennifer has been written far more poorly, yet she remains. But with such small air time, I can understand Jack not grabbing everyone this time. They gave him very little, and I want him back and to see it done right!

But back on topic, this no-build cliffhanger sounds even more lame than I anticipated.

I don't watch talk shows unless someone from Days is on, but Deidre has been on several talk shows even just this last year. The word "always" will "always" get you. AS has definitely been on talk shows without mentioning Days. It was a joke there for a while because at one point she didn't mention Days several appearances in a row. The last few months have been better, though. The majority of her appearances have nothing to do with Days. I'm not bashing her for it. It just is what it is.

The EJAMILLY scenes were so sweet and loved seeing EJ with his arms around Sami while they were on the floor and then them holding hands. I loved how she stood in front of him and told him to run when Roman pulled the gun and I am thrilled that EJ has his hands firmly on her when she is hanging over.

Pull your love up EJ and RUN! lol I guess EJ in a hideout is next :cheer:

and oh my that glimpse of chest, JS

i know. i love every second of it. my only complain is that it was too short. i want more please lol
i love ejami as a team. i have no doubt ej is going to hold on to sami for dear life and save her life. they can be each other hero. AWWWW!!! how am i going to be able to wait for the next 2 weeks?

When Roman tells EJ not to move or he will shoot, so Sami steps in front of him and whispers for him to run. Sounds like true love to me, can't think of any other reason Sami would want to save him, even if her gut knows that he didn't kill Stefano. I guess she has her selfish reasons why she doesn't want him to go to jail. I can't think that she is worried about his kids being without him, more than her losing out on running CW. EJ caring enough to try and save EJ, really puts meaning to their relation/friendship. I am interested to see if Sami is left unscathed and go on the run together. Like Ejami originally, not fond of the last few years, but like TPTB restarting them, back to have close apartments together and eventually being there for one another. Like that they didn't have sex, don't mind the sexual tension, as a soap should be.

I agree.

I really liked how EJ was trying to get her to stay out of view and even when she got up how he tried to push her away and she would have none of it.

yeah sami is all about protecting her man. i always knew she had it in her. it just took her a while to get there.

2 things i am obsessed about today. first i just love love the way sami is protective of ej. risking it all for him. she is being supportive and sympathetic toward him. just melt my ejami heart. awww.

did you see the way she looked at ej when he was hugging their children. priceless. you could how in love sami is with ej. she does not need words. actions speak louder than words.

i never thought i would see the day where sami would find the courage to stand up for ej in front of her dad and lucas without backing down or run after lucas to explain and grovel. sami was strong and determined. she only cares about one thing: ej dimera

i agree with Dreamer. sami has nothing to gain for helping ej. she is risking her life, her career, her relationship with her family and her relationship with lucas to save ej. that is what i call love pure and simple. this is so romantic. i can't even stand it. :cheer:

i am so proud of samantha G brady. i love her to pieces. :hail:

Huh?

Jack sucks? No he doesn't. Not for me. Maybe for you. But you're not speaking for all of us here. It's an opinion you have that not all of us share. You're free to have the opinion, but I have to share mine.

Of any of the characters who've gotten ANY kind of focus, Jack...yes, Jack...had the most powerful and realistic story to go for, and it was good enough in its beginning that it was submitted for a writing award. Matt helped make that happen, because if he hadn't done well in that series of scenes, it never would have gotten much notice, but it WAS well done, earning the first writing award in years for Days.

Yes, they stopped giving Jack focus...only to give yet MORE focus to EJ (who always gets focus anyway and didn't even NEED anymore...but he'll get it anyway, won't he?)

And I agree with others who say that if any character is in need of some work in that pairing, it would have to be Jennifer, who has come across as rather unsympathetic and lacking in compassion for Jack's ordeal at points.

From what I have seen so far, the cliffhanger episode feels rush. To much stuff happening all at once. I love the Ejamily scenes  . I love Sami stepping in front of EJ protecting him from Roman. I didn't understand why Shouty was there, he needs to get some bussiness . Overall the episode sounds like its going to be good!
Is stepping in front of "Daddy"'s gun really a big sacrifice? I mean would "Daddy" really shoot her?

Roman has it out for EJ. No telling what he is capable of. Just the fact that Sami did it makes me happy.

I don't think it's a sacrifice, but it's a pretty good symbol.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

Seriously they made EJ prominent in Will's coming out story.... Did Austin even get a token scene during Will's coming out?? He's his uncle and EJ got more during that time... Nothing from
Carrie either. EJ becomes the focus of storylines he shouldn't be the focus of.

That's because she's a sellout and a media whore.

The others aren't that desperate.
