Whatever JS seems to be doing is working for him. CLEARLY! ;) And it's NOT running his mouth on twitter. As an actor, I would take note of whatever AS and JS were doing and get my ass busy, because they are THE face of Days right now.

I think AS is awesome. She's really maximizing the opportunities she's been given and created more of her own. The feminist in me starts to get irritated when savvy, ambitious women are criticized for doing the same things that men are admired for doing.
Men are criticized for this, too. Most actors are, and a lot of the criticism comes from other actors. I can't think of any men who are similarly criticized. And I'm not only talking about actors-I mean it more broadly. I think there's an element of sexism to the criticism.

The feminist in me starts to get irritated when savvy, ambitious women are criticized for doing the same things that men are admired for doing. I don't criticize her for being a working mother, although I do question how she has time for her kids when she has so many side gigs, but that's none of my concern. My criticism of her has to do with her lack of talent (despite having her fingers in a thousand pies) and her grating, annoying personality.
I suppose this makes me a "hater," but whatever. I don't like the girl. Sue me.

From what I have seen so far, the cliffhanger episode feels rush. To much stuff happening all at once. I love the Ejamily scenes  . I love Sami stepping in front of EJ protecting him from Roman. I didn't understand why Shouty was there, he needs to get some bussiness . Overall the episode sounds like its going to be good! Lucas was there because he thought his son and the mother of his children might be in danger by being in the company of a person fleeing to avoid prosecution with police with guns chasing him.

Jeff Goldblum is the first to come to mind because he referenced it on Friends. But James Franco is another example. The best example is Ryan Seacrest.

Who else have as many projects as Alison does on Days and get a chance to go on talk shows that a lot of people watch, not just small interviews that a few people will see, as she does.
That's because she's a sellout and a media whore. The others aren't that desperate.
Then call me desperate and a media whore because I would do the same thing. Life is short. If she wants to do all of these things then why the hell not? If you're interested in writing a book? Do it. Create a t.v. show? Go right ahead. Jog a marathon and talk about healthy living? Cool with me! I wish I had the ability to do half of the things she's doing. It would be crazy not to, imo. She appears to be enjoying herself and she's making money at the same time, while not hurting anyone. I do think she loves the attention, but most actors do.
And maybe I don't go to the right places, but I've never seen anyone get ripped apart as much as AS does for this. Even the Dirty Soap people, who had their children in the spotlight, didn't seem to get flamed this bad.

Does anyone else here watch GREY'S ANATOMY? Do you remember the season finale (season 5, I think, where George dies) where everything just sucked and we all turned off our TVs and were like, "What the :censored: just happened?" Shonda, interviewed later, said they needed to start over to a certain degree, and so they just burned all the characters down, basically. I was dubious at the time, b/c the show was doing some serious sucking, but I was wrong. They came back and started rebuilding and writing a beautiful show again. This reminds me of that. We don't know who is alive, who is dead, and where people stand with each other. To me, this was just TomSells way of burning down all of MarDar's shit. ~Yes, we will all miss Jack. But we won't miss this Jack, we will miss the Jack of old, the one who used to be fun and interesting. This Jack sucks and, at this point, we need a break from his suckage. The dead can always rise again, and this removes us from MarDar's shit. ~ Nicole's miracle baby with EJ. Clearly the baby is a bone to EJoles, but it's a sucky story because, right now, for EJ the story is Samantha. Again, more removal of MarDar's shit (FWIW, I don't into that she will lose the baby, I just don't think it will be EJ's). I could go on, but we all get the point. The real stories begin after the Olympics, but at least now the writers have a blank canvas and has done a fairly admirable job of undoing a lot of the crap we've endured this past year.
How exactly does Jack suck? He just needed to be more like he was on yesterday's show (aside from the fake history) and you know to actually have a story (and I don't mean his upcoming millionth death). What you say is suckage was Jack dealing with the trauma he suffered in the past year. He wasn't likely to be happy Jack for a while. And what exactly do we need a break from? The two minutes every 2 months where he shows up says 3 lines and has no story. Because that's the problem... :shame:
I was just saying this in another thread, the week of the cliffhanger it should have been about EVERYONE, not just focus on the same two characters that have been focused on nonstop. I was hoping for more Jack, but no we just get more of the same Ej/Beast scenes. Sigh. :( What a waste of an awesome actor like Matt. Talk about under-utilizing. :shame:

LOL. In the day and age, what actress or anyone for that matter would not grab any opportunity to promote themselves? everybody is doing it. for instance kelly ripa, the kardashians, and the housewifes of (hell?) and the list goes on.
if she seizes every opportunity that comes her way to make a name for her and gain financial stability for her family, i say good for AS. where i come from, it is called being DAMN SMART. in this business, you only have 15 minutes to make the most of your fame. it would be stupid of her to get comfortable at DOOL waiting for the ship to sink.
if that is being a media whore, AS is in good company. hell, i want to be a media whore myself. besides, i have no doubt that if the other actors on DOOL get the same opportunity, they would grab it with both hands.
AS must be doing something right because she is on the cover of so many magazines. she is slowly becoming an household name. i have great respect for a woman who is not afraid to after what she wants.

Actually, if I was an actor, I would take note of what MB did and leave when her contract expires, go audition for some other jobs. Soaps are dead. I bet CM is counting the days til he leaves for pilot season.

Considering he didn't even put the gun down but instead continue to aim the gun at his daughter who knows what he would do. The fact he didn't waver at all and Lucas of all people even told him that was his daughter shows Roman's not caring about anything other than getting EJ whether Sami's hurt or EJ's innocent doesn't matter.
Well, if they finally wrote Roman into an actual story just to have him be a part of propping Ejami in such a ludicrous way then I know I am done with this show because obviously tptp have no boundaries where Ejami is concerned. No way would tha man shoot his own daughter to get EJ. Lucas or Rafe would not even do that! To even think that Roman would shoot Sami to get to Ej further shows me how bad this show has become. (unless he was possessed or something).
I watched with some friends and most were rooting for Roman to shoot her, I was surprised. :sheep:

Real actors and real personalities get it a lot worse than Ali does on a message board she mostly likely has never looked at.

Roman has it out for EJ. No telling what he is capable of. Just the fact that Sami did it makes me happy. She did it because she knew he wouldn't shoot or alow others to shoot. He may not be the greatest father on earth but even Roman would not let anyone "take the shot" with Sami in front of EJ.
By the way how is it Roman knew Will and the kids were gone but did not know Sami was still in the warehouse?

Shes an actress it's her job to promote herself.
That's great. I just don't like her. I don't think she's a good actress, I don't think she's a good spokesperson, I don't think she's a good anything. Everything she does seems disingenuous and desperate and phony (see video below) and she just doesn't appeal to me.
That's good to know. I don't agree Isn't this consider baiting.
My comments about Alison Sweeney? No. Having an opinion about an actress is well within the rules of this board. That said, I can remove my comment about the screenshot in your banner if you took offense to it. I didn't mean to insult your banner making skills, but if you took it that way I'll be happy to delete it. It shouldn't be too hard to find another picture of her looking stupid that I can ridicule. Wait a minute. Time out. We can ridicule other people's banners? Or just photos? Or do banners count as photos? I'm serious about this.

Which is what AS is... I just respectfully disagree. AS is primarily an actor. She hosts a reality TV show, but that was not what propelled her to fame. And the Kardashian "stars"are women, so again I'm not sure how criticism of them dispells my perception that savvy, ambitious women are attacked in ways men are not.
