He's pretty much blinded by wanting nothing more than to nail EJ.
You may or may not be able to describe me this way also.

Of course, in that case, I think we are using the word "nail" differently. :embarrassed:

Wait a minute. Time out. We can ridicule other people's banners?
No.

The comment I made about the photo in Ej_SamiFF's banner was inappropriate so I removed it. I didn't intend it as an insult of the banner itself, but because it could be taken as such my comment was deleted and any similar comments from other members will be deleted as well.
This is why I love this site.

The cliffhanger is intense. I think it would have been better if they had taken a little more time and built up to it over a few more days. I do believe that it did its job though, as I am waiting to see what actually happened to all the people in the various locations and the stories that may come out of it.
I am looking forward to seeing the episode later today.I have to tape it because I am working tonight. Also looking forward to the week after the Olympics.Although I know some people don't like her,I am wondering if Celeste is at the benefit since she is not mentioned in any spoiler.Earlier they had her tell Cameron to stay away from Abby because she saw danger around Abby which apparently comes true today and when the show returns. It seems strange that they would not show Celeste being there even if she had no dialogue.Atleast they could give Abe a couple of lines to explain why she is not there.I don't understand why they would have Abby and Jennifer shown as helping Cameron and Abe with the benefit but not show or mention Celeste. Is she off the show? I have not seen any mention of Beverly Todd in the comings and goings.

No, Jack and EJ as characters are not in the same league. Jack is 100 times the character that EJ is. While Jack fell and was redeemed, and we saw how all of these things happened to him and why and how he struggled and how he consistently progressed, and he had a personality and flaws and so much that made him human, EJ is an inconsistent pretty face who moves where the wind blows and the plot dictates. It's not that I don't see the similarities between the characters, it's just that with Jack it all adds up to this wonderfully complex person and with EJ it's just a bunch of pieces that never really come to anything real. That being said, I recognize that different writers over the years have done Jack many a disservice.

Oh, and I don't think James Scott's a bad actor, but he doesn't compare to Matt Ashford.

October seems even further away now.

To be fair, I should give Tomlin/Whitesell a chance, but its the directors that need to be fired. The way the actors are forced to deliver their lines is painful to watch - pregnant pauses and OTT reactions, urrrgh.

Whatever JS seems to be doing is working for him. CLEARLY! ;) And it's NOT running his mouth on twitter. As an actor, I would take note of whatever AS and JS were doing and get my ass busy, because they are THE face of Days right now.
Actually, if I was an actor, I would take note of what MB did and leave when her contract expires, go audition for some other jobs. Soaps are dead. I bet CM is counting the days til he leaves for pilot season.
Exactly. I have been wanting James to leave DOOL even when I was an Ejami. He is getting beyond his prime and is languishing on a soap. What a waste. I would have much rather payed my 12 bucks to go see him on the big screen once a year than see him everyday on DOOL. He is worth paying for. Now, he is looking at middle age for actors, graying, and still unknown to the people who matter. And his superstar pal has never once (not that I have seen) included him in a photo shoot or Red Carpet outside of DOOL or the Daytime Emmy's (which are pretty much ignored). He is the real actor and the one with the most charisma, not the superstar. The superstar got lucky because she was someone who happened to have struggled with a weight problem in the past and the TBL host position was available. I don't blame her for taking advantage of that. I actually think she is the most widely known actor for all soaps and I am not mad at her for it. JMO.

Madison's dress looks like a damn toga. Is she going to a toga party or her wedding. :D

I am suprised that they did not have Lexie's mother at a benefit for her daughter. She sees into the future she could have seen this coming afterall ;) .

Jarlena are so cute togehter.

This is OT, but I noticed on your profile under your Avi that you were a Santa Barbara fan. I freakin loved that show! I was so sad to see it go. Julia and Mason were the first soap couple I ever loved. I was a little girl then... :D

I don't think it is her job, as an actor or as a friend, to promote him. BUT She did recommend him to RedBook magazine when they asked who she thought should play the lead in the 50 Shades movies...
ETA: This is also JMO, but I don't believe she just "got lucky" because hse struggled with a weight problem. No one with a weight problem :gets lucky" they work their asses off and once in a while people find them inspiring enough to make them famous. She worked for what she has, IMO, and I think that's awesome because there are plenty of beloved characters from Days who never did a damn thing outside this soap.

He is not over the hill. But it is difficult for actors of either sex to make it big after the age of 40. He needs to make his move soon. I have heard/read the same thing about him not wanting to be a superstar. Thats fine and I have no doubt he has said that. But, I also don't know many people who dedicate so much attention to detail to an entertainment career and not want to be known as being "great" at it. Most 14 yr.old boys playing football dream that someday they will end up in the NFL. Most 12 yr. olds taking dance class either dream of being a ballerina on a stage or a backup dancer to J. Lo or somebody. Comedians who play school auditoriums in Bug Tussle someday hope to be on Leno or on the big screen. I imagine that James does not want to have the popularity and hassles of a Clooney or a Pitt, but I think he would probably settle for being someone like Shemar Moore, Nathan Fillian or Jesse Metcalf.

Wasn't Julie in Alamania during the earthquake?
I didn't read all the pages on this thread so apologies if this is a repeat, but YES. I'm so glad someone posted this cuz I read the day ahead and that's the very first thing I thought when I saw that. She survived the Alamanian Earthquake (which co-incidentally also involved underground tunnels) Can you say re-run?

I wonder if SSH thought to herself, "Great, I get one scene after how many months and my one line isn't even an accurate statement" ^o)
I just thought it was funny that they went to the trouble of referencing Kayla's past in LA -- which hardly ever happens -- and then made a big history mistake in the same breath.

Wow the end went by so fast it was a like ablur. It left me thinking what in the hell just happened here? It was all too fast for me to really get to see anything at all. Heres to hoping that the aftermath is so much better that the cliffhanger. The affects were cool though I have to say.

Some of the cast I did not even see when the blast happened.

Roman why would you take a civilian with you to get someone that has jumped bail?

Kate, Marlena and John all saw Ian run after Madison if anyting should happen to her I wonder if it will be becasue if the explosion or if they will think that Ian hurt her to prevent her from marrying Brady? Could be a long shot, but it would make for a good story.

While I thought that the opening Jarlena scenes were too cheesy, I thought their scenes were great throughout the rest of the episode.

Overall, I thought it was a good episode. I'm glad Victor and Maggie had at least one sweet moment together - they've spent most of their married life arguing. The Madison/Brady situation kept my interest and her moments with Jarlena were sweet. Throwing Ian in the scenes was a nice touch (though I don't like the slight to Kate!) Are they going to have Madison die thinking that Brady left her at the altar, though?

Sweet moments with Will/Sami/E.J./Johnny/Sydney.

I've never cared for Daniel, but I think Shawn did really well in the scene with Ari in the elevator.

I thought there were some questionable wardrobe choices, but overall (at least with the colors) everyone looked nice. Abe looked very nice in the lavender shade they had him in and red was a really good color for Jack.

Enjoyed Kate and Lucas scenes, also.

Looking forward to picking back up and seeing how everything shakes out in August!
