So, I know a C-section is of the abdomen, but I totally crossed my legs when Jen pulled out that knife. Yeesh.

The flashback/flashforward/lolz-that-was-a-dream format was so disorienting, it kind of helped you sympathize with the characters.

I am glad that they haven't had an intimate scene with Josh Taylor recently. No offense to his fans, I just thought the way he was making out with Deirdre, the way he kissed and everything was a turn off in a major way for me.

It wasn't Dee. It was a body double. That's why you only the see the "persons" hands and feet. You don't see her face. ;)
I thought the body double was just used in the castle.
My bad. I missread the post. :) The body double was only used in the castle scene. But, I can imagine she wanted a body double for the making out too. Who wants to kiss Winston? lol

The show may be in the toilet now, but at least the dialogue has improved somewhat from back then. Trademark JER dialogue all over these clips.

This is the time when DAYS really lost me. Just having Winston pawing on my favorite all the time, being all pervy and pathetic. No thanks, dude.

I could not stand Jennifer at this time. I had just started watching this show, and can remember just wanting her and Jack to reunite so she could shut up. Her weekly "cliffhangers" got nerve racking too.

Patrick Lockheart....I miss him.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

I remember watching SSK storyline and being totally into it. Guessing who would be next to get wacked by the killer....guessing on who was the killer.....but toward the end of the storyline I started to get pissed....I think what did it for me was the killing off of Alice.....THEN came Maleswen and the show totally lost me. Not as a viewer, because I was too into the Stan/Lumi storyline by then to stop watching and even though Iraq sucked ass, I still couldn't help loving some of what occurred in the bunker with Lucas particularly and Shawn and Philip's feelings being so raw for Belle and then there was sexy Rexy. I also liked Chloe and Brady back then and even though I was a Phloe fan, I couldn't help but want Chloe to be alive (which she was) and come back to Brady at that moment...then there was the Philip/Belle/Shawn triangle that was good too at the time.

You see looking back at some of the stories that happened around this time, at least I had more than ONE thing to watch and if I didn't like ONE story, there were at least 2 more stories running that kept me with the show.

Oh Melaswen, lol. I mainly hated Melaswen because because most of the people who died I wanted to stay dead.

The characters being alive were the only redeeming thing about Melaswen. That whole storyline was horribly executed.

I loved the SSK lead-in.

The serial killer storyline was good up until Roman's death. Then it fell apart. I'd say it was still somewhat together during Tony's death, and then the Marlena reveal afterwards, but by then, I believe changes were being made within the story to get ready for the characters to all be revealed alive, which I'll never believe was the original plan. For example, there was a scene added in the circus where Doug saw Marlena, which then led to her going after him after killing Tony. When the Hayses were approached about returning, they were promised that neither Doug nor Julie were going to be brought back to be killed off. In reality, they weren't lied due since the plan, by then, was to bring everyone back, even if the cast wasn't being let in yet.

It definitely wasn't the original plan and I'd LOVE to know what the original plan was.

It was nice to see Deidre and Frances work together. My last memory of how Marlena killed Alice. I have not seen more of this story line (SSK, Melaswen). I never find the courage for these clips.

Same here. I actually thought it made sense to have a big murder mystery to trim the cast a bit, although I did NOT want them to have Marlena kill Alice. Unless FR had originally wanted to retire or something, I'd like to think they did that only after they knew it wasn't going to be permanent. I often wonder what would have happened if they played out the original story.
