I like what she said about characters interacting with other characters. Makes Salem feel more like home.

If they don't ask about EJ, it's likely she won't say anything about EJ. For some reason these actors are quite tight lipped over future s/ls its much easier to talk about stuff that has already happened.
She was asked about her "harem of hunks", with each of them specifically named. Ari is the one who put the emphasis on Rafe and Daniel in her answer.
Yeah, that's how I read it too. In the first question, the interviewer asked about all the men, even naming EJ, and AZ directed the conversation to the other men when she said this....

"I think it's more shocking especially with the two good guys -- Rafe and Daniel -- on her side. I think it's very shocking to her. I don't think Nicole understands the positive power she has. You know she manipulates and she does all this stuff but she doesn't need to. And she doesn't realize that she has to do that. And she didn't have to do it with EJ either. But she chose, EJ and Nicole's relationship started out in big lies anyway, but I think with these two other guys, she actually has the possibility of being this great woman. Regardless of where the relationships go, she just has positivity in her life and that's exactly what she needs."
AZ is the one that directed the conversation toward Rafe and Daniel, and away from EJ, not the interviewer.
Isn't the interviewer supposed to be the one directing the conversation? I think if the interviewer wanted to specifically ask about Ej he would have instead of choosing to ask about Suzanne Rogers who Ari has had only one or two scenes with over Ej who only happens to be the father of Nicole's baby.

I agree that Nicole can be a great woman away from EJ. Nicole does need positivity and both Rafe & Daniel can provide that for her.
I agree with Ari's comments about needing the positive energy around her. I like that she at least has Rafe to provide that positive energy right now. I like seeing Nicole's soft underbelly and tenderness. I also like seeing her strength and her "bad" side from time to time. And, so, I think the best guy for Nicole would be a good guy, a nice guy that can understand and handle her failings and her past (and likely future) transgressions. I would like to see her be able to have the domestic bliss she wants so badly - the nice guy, the kids, the house with the white picket fence, etc, but be able to show her fierce, independent side from time to time. I've liked Bricole in the past, but I just don't know anymore. Really, I can't think of any men currently on the canvas that I think would be a good love match for Nicole.

Sounds kind of like Nicole might get safed. If she's going to change her ways, please let it be with Daniel (or Eric, maybe) and not Eyebrows McBlankface.
I tend to read that as changing her ways maybe for Eric more than any of the ones that are currently on screen.
I'm sure she'll land in a relationship with him eventually. In the mean time I'd much rather see Danicole though. Actually, maybe even afterward too. Days isn't very good at matching people by hiring a new actor to play a mate for another character.

I fully expect Nicole to self-sabotage herself yet again. It’s who she is and therefore I do not see her ending up with the “good” guys like Daniel and Rafe. I see her returning to her comfort zone and reunite with EJ, as she can be herself in that relationship.

I'm not sure EJ is her comfort zone. Nicole has historically gone for the good guys. Of course she'll ruin things at some point though. The characters always do, that way no one really ends up with anyone.
Agreed. I will scream if they try to slap and Eric and Nicole back together shortly after GV's graces the Days canvas. Scream. I'm excited at the possibility but I want to see the chemistry and I want to see how they write the story before I know if I want Eric/Nicole 2.0.

It definitely doesn't sound like Ari views EJ as what Nicole needs in her life right now. The way she mentions Nicole needs "positivity" from a white hat like Dan or Rafe is pretty interesting. Perhaps these guys will be what paves the road to Eric strutting back into town. Interesting.

IMO, a good interviewer will make an actress comfortable enough and ask the right open-ended questions so that even if the actress doesn't technically 'give' anything away, you can often see where story may be headed by how they answer the question. I liked this interview for those reasons. I think it is somewhat telling where she took the question about Nicole's harem of men. She could have taken it anywhere. She could have taken it to EJ and talked solely about him. She chose to take it to Dan and Rafe.

Ari had plenty of opportunity to discuss EJ more. For whatever reason, which of course is open to interpretation, she didn't.

It seems to me that Ari is addressing what is playing out right now for the most part. She may be steering away from EJ, as she doesn’t want to give anything away as to what happens with the baby and how EJ will find out about it.

Yep, much easier to formulate your answers about stuff that she knows is ending, then stuff that's she's been taping and/or future scripts.

I don't see the differences between this interview and all the rest where this interview is bias and didn't ask the right questions. It doesn't matter what the interview asks when she gives the same answers no matter what, says barely nothing and it all sounds alike.

How many times in these recent interviews has she brought up self sabotage and Daniel? Many. The interviewer asked about Nicole's last 7 months and the men in her life. She answered with EJ related answers and continued speaking of the men she worked with more.

If they wanted to ask the questions a lot of us wanted to read about, of course that would be about Ejole. Ari didn't mind answering about Ejole on the GG chat. I got a different, and a more positive vibe from that chat. It's still a wait and see thing but fingers crossed for Ejole.

Maybe there is nothing to talk about when it comes to EJ. She seemed to gush about how Rafe and Daniel are good for Nicole right now and how the character feels about them at the moment but very little on EJ. I guess they are keeping on with that threesome (Rafe/Nicole/Dan) for a while.

They're not allowed to talk about anything. It has nothing to do with Ari. I'm pretty sure she didn't ask to do these interview, so it's not like she went out and asked a bunch of people to interview her so she could say nothing to everyone. The actors still employed have pretty much not been able to say anything since the Emmys.

I am not expecting her to just spoil things but even from the last interview, it just seemed she is talking about nothing.

It will be great if she said who she was working with more, I wish the interviewer asked her that.
