I think the ratings bump had more to do with the preemption and the fact that things were actually happening and SLs were actually moving for a change.

And I've enjoyed more of the show this week than I have in a year. Im not a Rafe or Gabi fan but I've liked some of their stuff. And the show feels fresh to me again barring 1 or 2 things.. I'm sure it won't last so I'll enjoy it as I can.

Wanting to see who lived and died! It had nothing to do with couples! It was for the show overall! The question is can they maintain this bump? If history is any clue I doubt it!

Love seeing the increase - and the press release from NBC. I have to think that is a positive - at least for now.

This is true but they also lost more from Monday to Tuesday than they gained for the whole week. The positive is that days viewers continue to prove that they still exist and will tune in, but days has to do something to keep them and that's where they've failed over and over the last several years. They can pull off an event, but they can't pull off a show.
