Daisy needs to STFU. Her snarkfest with Sharon was LAME. Along with that lame hair. I love how Sharon left the b*tch in the nut farm. Victoria is so boring as this "business woman".

LOL....I think all the Republican viewers were about to barf watching today's YR. I saw this at SOC and it is so true. Does Victor think he's damn Norma Rae? Don't the writers know that all dock workers are unionized?

That flash drive in the globe was lame to the 10th power.
I actually prefer to watch Victoria as a business woman then a boring stay at home mom. Victoria has never been the type to be held down like that

Well yes, AH is nothing compared to Heather Tom. Victoria hasn't been entertaining to me for a very long time now since HT left the role. but AH does have her moments where I find her somewhat entertaining, but they really need to recast her already or just send Victoria out of town

It's just that AH lacks the intensity in the role that's why she is better at doing the light funny scenes.

^I never find her funny. IMO, its Billy who is funny. The only scene from AH I enjoyed was the one where Reed was leaving with JT and Mac. I still say Reed did the heavy lifting. I did enjoy her on Loving.

This Paul storyline has got to wrap up soon. And the show needs to invest in realistic forensic gloves. These dishwashing gloves look ridiculous.

Pauls story is definitely being too dragged out right now, but its more watchable to me then Phyllis and her story.

They are giving us breaks and mixing things a little, like it should be!
Not The Sharon Show with the loony tunes background music. OR The Phyllis Hour with Viagra commercials.
Now we get to see Paul with the CSI team
Sorry guys, Grisham left and Mikey, you aren't his replacement.

Every s/l has gone stale on this show b/c the pacing is so damn slow. This show used to have cliffhangers at the end of epis...that concept is completely lost. The Victor/Gen/Billy s/l is the only one that is remotely interesting. If the Paul story moved faster it would be ok too.

I noticed that also. last few weeks these stories either MAB was wanting to go or she knew she was leaving and just stopped everything.

I'm excited about the change but dreading it at the same time. But really, something's got to be done.

Didn't know where to post this, but people are posting on different message boards claiming theres a rumour circulating that Kay Alden could be returning to Y&R to help write for the show in some form. She was celebrating Y&R's milestone episode last week with the cast and crew
That would be just the thing this shiw needs. I had no problem with JGs writing but it's the new EP who has me worried.
I don't know whether bringing kay alden back is such a good idea, I remember when everyone was screaming to get rid of her.
Her bio tells of how Y&R lost viewers when she took over as head writer.
Bringing back ex employees is like going back to your ex spouse, the problems are still there, you just forgot about them until they resurface. lol
It rarely works out.

WHO exactly was screaming for Alden's dismissal? Jack Smith, yes, but the transition to Kay Alden was a smooth one. She wrote for Y&R for 30 years and has a handle on what the show should be and what the characters should mean to one another. Y&R has suffered greatly without her and I'd be overjoyed to have her back, especially with a strong EP like Jill Farren Phelps at the helm.

Just to even this discussion out.. I love Amelia Hienle and I love what she brings to the role of Victoria. She is my Victoria Newman, always will be..

As for Amelia/Victoria in this business storyline, I could not be more happy. I think she is doing great. I hope they keep her in business.

FYI, it wasn't Billy that made me like Victoria.. It was Victoria that made me like Billy. If they broke up tomorrow, I will still support her no matter what.

Just wanted to even this Victoria smackdown out a bit.

carry on......

AH's Victoria works best with this Billy. I cannot see her with any other man currently on the show. The previous incarnation would never even tolerate him let alone give him the time of day! LOL But if we are talking about Victor Newman's daughter, than I'm afraid she is not exactly it. Perhaps you could probably blame that on the writing.

Amelia's skills is always up for debate but I appreciate them.. She does not need to be loud and obnoxious, there's enough of these type of women on the show... She is great in her own right and I like that she doesn't try and be Heather Tom. She is who she is and that is why I love her.

It's all good though.. I like being in the minority. I just wanted to give an opposing view. :)

"who exactly"? seriously? Sorry, but I don't know all the names of posters on various boards back then who wanted Kay Alden gone because she dragged the SL's out too long, but we were all sure glad when she left.
Unfortunately, we jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

I believe the problem with Kay was that it took her a year to spit out a storyline (Kay/Jill as mother/daughter) didn't she write the sperm caper storyline?

I don't re-call the who's either far as writers and actors but KA took a beating during this time SamJo speak of although soaps begin having a horrid recession of viewer loss but I didn't lay blame on Alden because damn near every soap opera was loosing during that particular era and the popular soap mags were in terrible trouble as well.

I can agree w/this Lp but her long story never exhausted me to a point of not watching The late Great Bill Bell told Alden she was "Overy Written" (LOL) makes me think of her interview years ago....Anywho that didn't stop WJB from testing her on writing script then eventually hiring too work Y&R but I'm in full agreement she would take Hella long to tell a story line I also think she got away with it because other major playas were blended with the ongoing story being told and not justifying the story for contrivance ONLY, KA beats were played for the characters and not just for one character to be pimped-the-fuck-out against one or two of the same characters over and over again day after fucking day```week after fucking week```month after fucking month.. ;)
