I've actually seen the first episode,surprisingly good and if u are a General Hospital fan it has Johnathan Jackson,I really enjoyed it,so I do recommend checking it out.

It was only ok, nothing really all that special about it. I like the cast (minus Hayden, wish they hired a stronger actress for the role), but the story so far is pretty average. I'll watch to see where it's going, but if it doesn't pick up, I'll drop the show. I'm guessing it's Connie Britton that's making people excited. Me, who has never seen Britton in anything, sees nothing spectacular about the show. But Britton is a good actress.

On many boards, people called it Country & Western Smash. While Smash had many problems, boring was never one of them... I think Cable has destroyed broadcast dramas for me - they all seem underwhelming, underbaked, low stakes and poorly conceived in comparison. I still like broadcast sitcoms though.
