POST # 1: JASON47'S EPISODE SUMMARY PAGE NOW AVAILABLE! COMPILATION OF LINKS TO YEARLY SUMMARIES (1965-PRESENT) AND DAILY EPISODE SUMMARIES (1992-PRESENT) ALL ON ONE PAGE!!

While my site has always focused on the non-storyline aspects of the show, people continue to ask about episode summaries. I've compiled a thorough episode summary page, which features yearly episode summaries from 1965-present and daily episode summaries from 1992-present. The page includes many of the "lost" summary pages (the official "Days" site yearly summaries from 1965-1995 plus the day-by-day summaries from Beth's & Dustin's pages from 1992-1999) that no longer exist on the web, but have been preserved thanks to the Internet Archive. So, if you are looking for what happened on a specific date over the past 20 years, or want to check out what happened during the first three decades of the show, use this page from now on as a starting point!

POST # 2: "DAYS" CRUISE OF DECEPTION THEME SONG, JUNE 1990:

With research now in June 1990, here is the special theme song "Days of Our Lives" used for 11 episodes for the "Cruise of Deception" storyline from June 11-June 25, 1990. These were the only episodes from the time Macdonald Carey started doing the opening in March 1966 until his death in March 1994 that the line "This is Macdonald Carey and these are the days of our lives" was not heard.

POST # 3: 46 YEARS AGO: EPISODE # 219...SEPTEMBER 15, 1966!

"Days" fans, enjoy this trip down memory lane! Here is the complete episode of "Days of Our Lives" aired exactly 46 years ago, Episode # 219, aired on September 15, 1966. The episode features Macdonald Carey (Tom), Frances Reid (Alice), Marie Cheatham (Marie), David McLean (Craig) and Don Briscoe (Tony). The episode is directed by Richard Sandwick and the dialogue written by James Gentile. William J. Bell wrote a majority of the dialogue in the early years of the show, but from time-to-time, he would give a few scripts to other writers to lessen his workload. As you watch, remember that all four scenes had to be shot from beginning to end in just one take. There was no stopping in the middle if a flub happened. Mac Carey saves the last scene when he drops something and ad-libs a line as he picks it up, to keep from having to do another take. Also, note that this episode was taped on September 6, 1966...just 9 days before it aired!
