Looks like a good episode. Now that the secret is out of the bag, can we please move on from this crappy story? I find none of these people to be rootable in this story. It did bother me that Rafe said he played babydaddy because Nicole asked him to. He did that on his own without asking her. Also, why didnt he insist that Nicole come live with him? The loft has plenty of room. He made a commitment. Sami is immature and selfish, but it was nice to see her yell at someone besides Ej for once. And while I feel that Ej made some good points and has a right to be pissed, He will inevitably do something so heinous that I will have to stop siding with him.

Loved the show. One complaint - Nicole's baby dies and it seems a little too heavy on its impact on Sami's relationship with Rafe. However, watching Sami's disgust that someone would lie to HER was fun. It's fine for the girl to hide her baby from EJ, it's fine for her to be the damsel, but gosh, if Rafe "helps" someone else it's a major crime against HER. Honestly, I think it's a lot of trumped-up angst for a bore of a couple but still, thought AS was actually interesting to watch. Bring back Carrie or involve Nicole in Rafe's life more - it's the only thing that makes the guy half interesting.

That being said, GG isn't my favourite actor. He stood there in some weird wide-legged stance and let EJ walk all over him. Dumb look on his face, little passion, and the guy can't seem muster up much gumption. I really don't like Rafe.

Kristen is better than I remember. Funny, I don't see Ashley Abbott at all. ED is that good. Loved her scenes with EJ - they made the show.

Oh, and EJ's little tantrum about how Rafe isn't a better man? Laughable. Rafe may not be perfect, but his "crimes" barely register compared to the destruction EJ has caused in numerous lives. Of course, we're not supposed to remember any of that anymore.
Lol. Exactly. This is why so much of the supposed Rafe championing doesn't bother me. It doesn't even compare to the white washing EJ constantly gets. Rafe lying doesn't change anything about EJ. The constant comparisons cheapen both characters which is kind of a major feat considering how paper thin all of these characters are.
I know. For all the "propping" Rafe gets, it's nothing compared to the way everyone has forgotten EJ's crimes. I have seen no whitewashing of Rafe that compares to EJ being present (and giving a toast) as Shawn Sr.'s wake after everything EJ had done to the Brady family. Or the way Marlena apparently wiped away all of EJ's sins simply because he told her John was alive. Then, of course, there was the giggle and handshake that wiped away kidnapping and faking Sydney's death. And let's not forget that EJ "the better man" DiMera has still not fessed up that he framed John for the embezzled pension fund and appears to have no chance of ever facing up to that particular crime. EJ's attempt to make Rafe "just as bad" as he is just makes me remember all of EJ's crimes even more.

EJ would have been much better off to stick to focusing on how Rafe was not the guy Sami thought he was and/or that Rafe didn't trust Sami. But trying to make himself look better by making Rafe look bad just fails on so many levels.

I love that real history is mentioned in Kristen's conversation with EJ: the miscarriage, John Jr., trying to take EJ from his mother, etc. It's kind of weird that John has a flashback of the night before the wedding though because it wasn't even Kristen he was with that night -- it was Susan.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well Eileen and James work together.

The main thing that irritated me about this is that EJ saying he got it from a greiving mother's mouth and then told Sami to go ask her herself. REALLY? EJ shame on you, you care so little about Nicole at this point that you'd have Sami of all people go and interogate her. And then say Rafe conspired to keep a father from his son, again Hello Sami did the same thing to you BUT you neglect to mention that fact. While I liked alot of what was said other things I felt were left out to make Nicole out to be the villan, and somehow this all revolves around Sami.

Nicole loses her baby and Sami's the victim because she almost had sex with Rafe to comfort him

I do love though that Sami knows Rafe told Carrie, that alone made the whole scene a must see for me. Yes Sami you again came in behind Carrie, while at one time I would have defended Sami now I find it hysterically funny. Just goes to show how the writers have made Sami's character no longer a favorite of many.

Galen is not very emotive on his best day, but today's US show and this one really highlight just how bad he can be. He just isn't very good at conveying emotion.

I totally agree about ED....didn't see a hint of Ashley Abbott. I'm excited about the Kristen/EJ relationship!

Yesssssssss! Sami does find out Rafe told Carrie. Color me shocked! That's good. I'm glad she knows and undoubtedly is pissed at that as much as anything. that should tell Sami all she needs to know about Rafe's feelings for Carrie > his feelings for Sami.

Rafe, you all but shoved Nicole out of the way so you could puff out your chest and claim you were the father to EJ. Nicole never saw it coming. It was all you. Asshole. Nice that he's pawning that blame off on Nicole.

I like the sounds of the Kristen/EJ exchange.

I thought it was a little weird that Kristen said she was surprised EJ mistook her for Kristen or thought she was old enough to be his mom, just before she explained just why both of those things have to be true.

I agree with the earlier poster who said EJ's speech to safe should have been more about the baby/himself and less about Sami. Sami is quite capable of making things all about her. It's not necessary for anyone else to lead the charge to tie everything back to Sami. It's surprising that the show addressed Carrie knowing the truth about the baby, and I find it believable that Sami is more angry about that than she is about the lie itself.

I'm still a Safe fan, but Sami is fucking annoying. Cannot wait to see Lucas call her out on her shit! I wish Carrie was still around to rub it in Sami's face, or for Nicole and Rafe to be together to piss off EJami, Cannot believe EJ is playing the victim after everything he did!

Geez, Sami makes ZERO fucking sense in this episode!

And EJ's "who's the better man" "you picked him over me" couldn't be any more pathetic. Why are you trying to prove you are a better man to Sami? She's definitely not a better woman to you.

Kristen is almost a breath of fresh air if she wasn't all about Chad and EJ. I'm looking forward to the other irons in the fire.

Yes, I certainly agree with that GG can't sell a damn thing in terms of emotions! It is ridiculous to see such a bad actor in a main storyline! Now, if you have some writers, producers, etc who want this actor in the show! Why not put him in more supportive category? He does not fit into leading stories!

I specifically remember early on GG played Rafe as having a smug smirk for Stefano. It may have even been his first time Rafe met him. I remember thinking 'you ass, atleast give us some acknowledgement that Rafe just met Stefano Dimera'. Hell, watch tapes of Drake, Peter...etc and see how they've done it. You have to have a give and take. He won't go there for whatever reason. Who knows but it sucks because that is why he's comes off as a one-note smug ass hypocrite. He plays Rafe the same in every scene no matter what the situation= one note.

Everything he did.... are you referring to the whole back catalogue of villainous actions or just those pertaining to this storyline?

So far he framed John which meant Johnny got shot at disappeared which led Sami to come over and have sex with him in his drunken, grieving single state.
I wouldn't say that is a foreseeable consequence .. heck if he is so interested in having sex with Samanther maybe he should just start framing John more often.

He failed to tell Nicole he had sex with Samanther whilst they were not together. after she unwittingly gave him an out by saying lets start with a clean slate and move forward from this point.

He failed to give in to Will's blackmail demand and give him enough money to leave town.

and he blackmailed Rafe by threatening to go to the police about something his sister had actually done.

Personally I think he needs to step up his game not nearly enough villainry.

Happy to see John and Maelena TOGETHER in scenes again. Not sure how I'm liking John's "nightmares". If he's going to have dreams they should be about the awful things that Kristen did to him and Marlena. Obviously he's spooked by what he's dreaming about. Just don't want the writers to give us clueless John again. This story should give us a strong John and Marlena united against anything that Kristen throws their way.

Yeah, I still don't like how TomSell let the EJOLE baby survive the Daysaster only to use the baby's death as plot points for Dannifer and the redundant & contrived EJ/Sami/Rafe drama. Considering how boring the month of Sept. was, they could've had the baby die in Daysaster, reveal the lie, and set up new storylines for the characters. But TomSell wanted to get Dannifer and Safe in place before the baby's death.
Still a lot of rushed "storylines" and inconsistent & irrelevant writing going on.
In the next few weeks the Daniel/Jennifer/Nicole and EJ/Sami/Rafe stuff will carry on. :eyeroll:
At least we know Nicole will move away from Dannifer and onto Eric soon, even though it's predictable.
I'm still waiting for a time where, when I read the spoilers for the next week or two, I don't feel like I'm wasting my time watching what's currently on screen. Like the EJ/Rafe blackmail, Chelanie wedding, Daniel/Nicole talk about moving to Utah & next week Hawaii, etc.
