ANd on today's show EJ is offering to have genetic testing done to prove to Sami the baby is his. Now I'm assuming you'd have to use the baby's corpse to get this done. What little regard they have shown him to have for his son. His son is dead, who fuck cares what Sami believes at this point. I really hope the backlash Days has received (and I'm sure it was plenty) from this horrible story is what leads to Tomlin getting fired.
I'm not sure it would require a test on the baby's corpse. They have the original DNA test which EJ now knows was switched. It could be as simple as reviewing that.

In the real world, an autopsy would be done. For one thing, the parents should want to know why the baby died. Of course, Nicole doesn't want an autopsy because it would probably reveal that the baby was already dead, so she's every bit as calculating in this situation as EJ is. Secondly, because someone has actually been changed with a crime in connection with the baby's death, an autopsy should be ordered in order to determine cause and time of death. No autopsy having been done would be the first thing used by the defense to cast doubt on Jennifer's guilt.

Of course, this is Days, so i realize that expectations of realistic writing must be suspended.

Haven't watched in a bit, will likely do it when PR leaves, so....

Are Bope still good, or will are they currently going through problems? I saw the last few seconds yesterday and Maggie mentioned something about a possible divorce?
Bope are good. I guess I missed Maggie mentioning the divorce so not sure who she was referring too. At this point, Bo decided to quit the force and Hope supports him completely. She wants him to follow his dreams (whatever that means :ermm: ) Bo told Hope yesterday about Caroline and she's busy trying to research treatment and support Bo and the family.

Seems like Bo and Hope will still be together when he leaves and since Kristian is still wearing Hope's wedding ring in pics she has tweeted this week, they remain together in Jan.

How did Kristen know about the baby and about it being EJ's? EJ only found out about an hour before.

I hope Sami gets over herself quickly--this will get old fast. Rafe did the right thing.

Um no He did not, he lied to keep a man from his kid, it amazes me how he is still the 'good guy' :hahano:

It's possible that the speed at which they're rushing through this story is the reason they didn't show EJ going to see the baby on screen. It can easily be mentioned in an upcoming episode that he did see the body. IMO, the baby's death has been reduced to a plot point to fuel the Safe and Jen/Daniel/Nicole stories, so the writers aren't investing much in the actual baby story itself.

Quote:

I don't understand why the writers are letting Nicole take the fall for the paternity lie scheme. It was all Rafe. I believe Nicole even tried to talk him out of it. Do the writers have amnesia or is the point that even when the truth is out, Rafe continues to lie to Sami about a key part of the deception?

See, that's the million dollar question. I'm guessing that WE are supposed to have amnesia, but it puts a whole different spin to the story that we know this was Rafe's idea in the first place.
I like EJ best with Nicole but I have no significant problem if the writers pair him with Sami or someone else,I just want a good story.I like the character of EJ generally speaking but his behavior since Nicole lost the baby is actually making me dislike him intensely. The writers need to deal with the issue of EJ seeing or attempting to see the baby. The biggest problem I have with EJ's behavior is once EJ found his baby was dead and did ten seconds of his squinty eyed "crying",they did not even have him ask to see his son before rushing off to confront Rafe. How are you protraying a grieving loving father who values family above all else if confronting Rafe is more important than seeing his stillborn son?If EJ made the request and was told by the hosptial staff they could not do it unless they received permission from the mother since he is not the father before he left the hospital, I could see that he valued the life of his son over confronting/getting even with Rafe and why he would go directly to the loft.

wow sami seems more upset over carrie knowing than rafe lying to her lol
I actually thought that was the best part. It makes sense that Rafe telling Carrie but not Sami is what would send Sami really over the edge.
Which Ironically to me says alot about the writers and SAFE in general, IF Rafe knew Sami the way they have presented him to know all her history and past he would have known the one woman that would be totally off limits to him with Sami was Carrie. So while it is totally Sami to pick this one thing out and be upset about, this was a major writer screw up to have Rafe tell Carrie and NOT tell Sami. But then with Carrie you can expect her to keep a secret with Sami, sorry first time it would benefit her she'd blab.

Realistically, it isn't off limits for Sami to have another man want her sister and then want her....it's pretty much been a given and that is why I think she will forgive him rather easily.

Wow - even Safe's arguments are boring and dull. I do think the writing was a bit bumpy for all involved, but it is in character for Sami to be more concerned about Carrie knowing something she didn't.

Loved the Victor/Caroline/Bo scenes, especially the Victor/Caroline and Victor/Bo interaction. Very sweet.

Good to see Eileen and James in a scene together! What is it, though, with the current writers and having people talking to doors?

Personally I think he needs to step up his game not nearly enough villainry.
I agree - would love to see E.J. connect more with his darker side!

But that is the biggest person Sami has always come in second to, first with her mother (which is not Carrie's real mother but Sami's) then with Austin and Lucas both. For Sami (or at least IMO) Rafe should know the history and for that reason alone he should have kept his relationship with Carrie strickly family oriented. Not more than a few months ago we had Marlena telling Carrie to go for the man she loved knowing it was Rafe (Sami's husband), now Marlena is glad to see Sami and Rafe back together again. REALLY whiplash please. The only man who wanted Carrie and then truly found that he loved Sami more was Lucas. He told Sami he loved Carrie but not in the way he realized he loved Sami. (BTW great scene between AS and BD)

Rafe can't say that he was falling for Carrie knowing the background and still chose that path, Sami should hold that and other things against him. With all that said I could care less who Sami choses at this point her character has been ruined for me beyond repair.

Pretty good show so far. I SO did not expect those Victor & Caroline scenes to effect me this much. Him saying she is still the same young, beautiful woman & her saying he was so handsome, while Bo was listening.... Then when she kissed him, I cried! LOL Then Victor embracing Bo saying he's never been this proud... Best scenes I've watched in I don't know how long!

And of course the John & Kristen flashbacks! They had me bouncing in my seat. :cheer:

Sami look a hot mess in that dress.
It's understandable - all that zipper up/down stuff causes a lot of wear and tear.

And totally quoting one of my clever Twitter buddies...when Sami delivered her parting shot to Rafe, spun around and stormed out the door with her half zipped dress and shredded dignity I'll bet she was wishing she'd carried her big purse then.

Why was John having a flashback of the night before he married Susan Banks? He never married Kristen. Kristen was locked up in the secret room watching from a tv as he married Susan.

And being fully entertaining... Can't we just lock Marlena and Kristen in an elevator for several episodes and have them snark and snark and snark some more?
