I loved today's episode. It's so rare to get a Sami free day. I didn't fast forward anything. I love Eileen Davidson. She bring so much to the show, especially making John and Marlena interesting again. I think she fits so much better on DOOL vs. Y&R where it seemed she never had much of a story (though I haven't watched that s how in several months). I thought Will and Sonny were fun today also. I really wish they would keep Tad. When he's actually look a cool guy I really enjoy him.. The actor s really good. I thought Sonny and Will's conversation in the park was actually kind of fun especially when Will found out that Sonny was joking. I thought Freddie and Chandler really clicked today. Too bad they only get 1.5 seconds of airtime if that to kiss :soapbox: . Kate's reaction was funny also. I keep saying this but too bad they didn't try Tad and Abby or even Gabi. This show needs another young female for all of the guys. The Nicole story though is just awful. I haven't been a big Jennifer fan but I can't help but root for over over Nicole. Disgusting for her to blame Jennifer for losing the baby. But great acting by Ari. So I'm mixed on this story I guess. |

So the show didn't record for me earlier today, and I am sitting here watching the whole show now. And I must say... it is hideously painful to have to watch this whole show! |

Watching now...it REALLY bothers me Marlena didn't shout, "You're supposed to be dead!" or something similar. This could have been an AMAZING return, and instead they glossed over the fact that all of Salem thought she was dead for 14 years! |

I wasn't disappointed by the Marlena/Kristen scenes. Sure, they could have been more exciting, and yes Marlena's timeline of events was wrong, but the dialogue and rapport was classic Marlena/Kristen. Marlena and Maggie were wearing the same bad animal print. Why is that allowed to happen? I also liked the John/Brady scenes. They're not the best actors, but I think they work well together and they're very believable as father/son. Not just because of looks. The Sonny/Will stuff was cute, too. I could have done without Sonny's PSA, but whatever. |

^Sonny nearly gave me a heart attack when he asked Will to marry him. It was like Sonny was every crazy, over-obsessed girlfriend in any movie/tv show ever. |

I was really puzzled by the Kate and John discussion about Nick since Kate pretty much offered Nick a job a couple of weeks ago. Was she bitter that he declined her offer or was this more of the schizophrenic writing we have seen of late? Streets in San Francisco have fewer ups and downs than the characterizations on this show. It's getting to the point where it doesn't matter what one character says today because they are going to contradict themselvse tomorrow. The Kristen and Marlena scenes were decent, not great, but decent. I did enjoy hearing Marlena, of all people, admit that therapy doesn't work. She oughta know. Couldn't Jennifer be charged with harassment or possibly intimidation or obstruction of justice for visiting Nicole in the hospital? There was something almost criminal about ego thinking she could sashay into Nicole's hospital room and plead\threaten her case. Why doesn't Brady have a litter of kids like Sami does? He's getting to be a little long in the tooth not to have any children. Will and Sonny were adorable as usual today. It would be very interesting if this show made this couple its showcase couple for the next generation or at least for the younger generation. No other soap has tried this approach so it would be a novel approach. Not only that but these two actors are two of the best actors on the show. I do not see any downside to building the next decade of the show around them, assuming of course the show lasts that long. |

Marlena's timeline of Kristen's litany of sins, was so WAY off! You would think writers would pay attention to things like that! I know that Kate is trying to hire Nick before Sami does, so she can one-up Sami. But when Kate talks about the things Nick has done why does she make it sound like Nick did something to her personally? He didn't did he? Because I can't remember lol. Daniel/Nicole/Jennifer, when they are all combined make my ears bleed!!!! |

I really liked Kate's dress and the way it fit, snug but not too tight or too short.I also noticed the blue streak is gone as well. When did that happen ? just noticed it today.

It also made it sound like John & Marlena were getting married, then Kristen got in the picture... which is just all wrong. |

All things considered, bringing "Roman" back may have been the worst thing Kristen ever did, though. |

I laughed at the way Marlena of all people was having none of the idea that Kristen had changed after getting therapy. Wilson and Kate were cute. It would have been cuter if that scene wasn't (probably) foreshadowing the wabi marriage though. It's slightly annoying that John keeps having Kristen related nightmares when he hasn't thought of her in almost a decade and a half. The John/Brady scene was kind of weird, but I did like the way everyone went to talk to their parents and grandparents in this episode. I'm not enjoying the Nicole story. I don't feel for her or Jennifer and wouldn't mind seeing everyone involved go to jail for awhile. The lengths of the sentences would vary, of course, but they all really need to get off my screen for a few weeks. Edited by six, Oct 23 2012, 01:03 PM.

YES haha, though it was such dumb writing for her to not even acknowledge that was her field. A line like "even I couldn't cure you" would have been funnier and more appropriate. |

John way overdid that reaction to Kate coming in the office. I hope we aren't returning to the days of Drake trying too hard. Kate's interest in Nick makes absolutely no sense. She was the one who offered him a job and he turned her down. As far as I know, Sami has never talked to Nick. It makes me wonder if they cut something and then forgot they cut it. So bizarre. I'm sure this is unpopular, but I actually like Kate's outfit today. Wardrobe has seriously been better lately. Oh goody, another flashback to Drake's hairy chest. We can stop those anytime now. I do adore Eric and Drake as father and son. Kristen and Marlena are delicious. They've needed someone to push Marlena's buttons for a while. She's much more interesting. Kristen is rapidly becoming my new favorite character. Hee! Kristen's "I've been to therapy" line was hilarious. Kristen is seriously cracking me up. I love every reaction to Marlena's hostility. Wilson are so cute. And I do like T. I think Will could be a country singer with that guitar, shirt, and haircut. The PSA is a little much, but overall it's not too bad. Will's reaction to Sonny's proposal is hilarious. CM did that well. I'm glad Sonny specified Idaho for the honeymoon. No marriage here. All of this talk about not rushing into marriage makes me think that a Will/Gabi wedding is coming up. I like the Brady/Jennifer scenes. Or at least I like Brady in them. Jen is still bugging me, but I think it's MR, not the character. Shockingly, I liked the Maggie/Daniel scenes. I thought SC was good and SR was too, once I could stop staring at her hair. |
