I hope if they decide to air "classic" episodes they are truly classic episodes not something that has aired in the past year.

Perhaps with Kristen back they could re-air something from 97 or 98.

Thanks Jason.

Yes, I would like something from the 90's with Kristen or 80's, but knowing our luck, it will probably be something from the past year.

Unless these episodes truly are classic, I think we'd all prefer the show to be pre-empted.

I'd like to see a classic episode..Like Alice helping Roman to escape from jail, or Hope being dragged from her wedding to Larry Welch and riding off on the back of his motorcycle. Or Marlena and John reuniting on the Pier...I can think of so many!

The president is supposed to hold a news conference on Wed 11-14-12. I can't find the time anywhere, though if its slated for 12N or 1PM ET, I bet all the networks cover it live. This "extra" day may be needed to catch up if there is a Wednesday preemption. Makes more sense than slating a dusty rerun for Turkey Friday.

That would solve the problem then very nicely. However, President Obama would have to speak for at least 35 minutes for a national preemption to kick in.

That's cool. I just happen to be working on the 1997 episodes now, so it would be ironic if that's the one they pick to air as the first-ever "classic" Days repeat on NBC.

Eileen Davidson (Kristen) mentioned in an interview she did for blogtalkradio.com that "Days" is supposed to be airing a Kristen episode from 1997 to fill the Friday, November 23 time slot. Due to the NHL cancelling its day-after Thanksgiving game, "Days" was forced to insert a repeat episode. This will be the first time in the 47-year history of "Days" that a repeat of a "classic" episode will be airing on NBC. "Days" might also be airing another classic episode this coming January 1, 2013, when another NHL game which was supposed to preempt the show was cancelled due to the on-going lockout. More information will be posted about the exact episode #, cast list, set list and complete scene-by-scene when it becomes available.

Hot damn, yes!

I hope it doesn't get bumped by Obama's speech.

I was hoping for something from 91 but a Kristen episode from 1997 will be great! I'm damn sure going to record it. Hope the speech doesn't preempt it. :D

More money to air something pre-1993 since that's the Marty Davich era of music.

Would have been great to see one of the 1979 "variety" episodes that Bill Hayes helped get together (he's even credited as a writer for the episodes)...Frances Reid appears as Grouch Marx! But that involves tons of singing, so it would be too expensive to air nowadays :(

I'm surprised they're putting on an episode from 1997! With the crazy timeline inconsistencies, I was afraid that they wouldn't want to show it. It'll be a nice way for older fans to see how great Kristen was!

Perhaps pre-schooler Belle & teenage Shawn Douglas! Baby Philip could make an appearance too. Pre-schooler Abby & "old" Austin...the possibilities are endless!
