Sure, I can understand that, but she's still going to be on-screen. If Hope is actually with Bo for the holidays, that's still a completely logical, in-character place for her to be, IMO. Especially in the era of Skype -- if she really wanted to, she could just do a big video conference with everyone else so that she could "be there" for the ornament hanging ritual without physically being there. I guess I just don't see why Hope's fans would prefer to see her and Ciara hang a few ornaments in Salem instead of spending Christmas with her husband and Ciara's father. I would think that a happy Hope would be better than a gloomy, missing-Bo-more-than-ever-before Hope, for those fans. :shrug: |

I think they're going to drag out the Dannifer sex because they are trying to make them a bona fide supercouple so the angst has to dragged out as long as possible because the writers need to keep their millions of fans on tenderhooks, begging for them to get together. :sarcasm: Oops I'm probably OT sorry. My bet is Safe who are naked. |

Dannifer for x-mas is not what I want, it is what I see TPTB aiming for. How long can these two possibly wait. If Brady is already in bed with Kristen... Jen and Dan can't be far behind. With the spoiler... EJ set up an accident for Dan... a few weeks back... sounds to me like the SL are being tweeked from what they originally slated for. EJ just up and drop is baby revenge out of no where.... I can't believe it. Safe for x-mas is a good guess. X-mas for them has been magical. LOL! |

Hope missed the ornament hanging in 2010 because she & Bo were on the run. That was the year that the ornament hanging was all of Doug, Julie, Ciara, & Jen. Maybe Maggie was there, i forget. |

yes it did. there were all sorts of hints that miracles happen on Christmas & then nothing. Ciara could've had a dream that her parents made it home for Christmas or something. The only good thing about that Christmas was that, while offscreen, Bo & Hope technically spent it together (and Carly spent it alone). |

Oh I understand what you're saying and I agree - but the poster I was responding to said that Hope would never miss the ornament ceremony just to be with Bo. I think we're kind of arguing what a fan watching wants vs what the character herself would want. |

i can speak for myself, thank you. Would Hope pass up an opportunity to spend the holidays with her husband, of course not. At the same time, the Horton Ornament Hanging is a very special tradition, and Bo would understand them waiting until after to go see him. All of this conversation aside, where on earth is Bo supposed to be if not in Salem? According to the day ahead for Thursday's episode, Bo is back in Salem. if he & Caroline hadn't returned from LA, i would understand where he is. But he's supposedly in Salem. Why would he be leaving again when he knows Christmas is less than a month away? |

I guess the comment of your first post on the subject that Hope would never miss the ceremony "just to be with Bo" is what stuck with me. I can't imagine a wife would willingly miss out on time with her husband (who's off in California somewhere last I remember) just to hang a few balls on a tree. I guess I (and the poster who made the comment that I responded to) assumed that what you were really bothered by was that your favourite character is not participating in the traditional ceremony. But, whatever then - I don't agree with your comment. I don't agree that Hope would act that way - I think if she had flights scheduled or whatever to go see Bo and that would mean her missing the ceremony, she would willingly and happily do so. Ohhhh so yay Gabi is all around Will for Christmas also. They might a well just buy a house together for Christmas since they spend every waking second together anyway. The other thing Jason posted shows what seems to be Sonny at the hospital. So wonder if they all head there together? Or god watch it be Will and Sonny that leave and Gabi and Nick are the naked ones together. Please no. But this show does like to show the pregnant women having sex so could be.
