Wednesday , November 21st sami lets it slip to nick that gabi is pregnant he says what? She says i thought you knew i thought she told you, i wouldnt have said anything nick says i didnt know anything rafe goes into gabis room she isnt there Lucas with Will and Gabi outside the square lucas asks whats going on here will says we need the money for a project for school lucas says must be some project to need that much money we need to talk in private Hope and jen are having a book club at jens house doorbell rings billie comes in billie says she owes her an apology Eric and nicole are still at the room in the church nicole says to Eric do you realize how long we have been here talking he says you had a lot to tell me she says i have been through hell and this whole town is judging me he says im sure it feels that way she says they have nothing else to gossip about except how i lost my baby and what happened with jennifer he says im not judging you she says of course you are, how can you not i lost dan forever and nicole has won the sad sack of the year award admit it you hate me now just like everybody else in this town nick says i dont believe this ,she is pregnant sami says yeah i know you havent been dating that long its a lot to take in maybe thats why she didnt say anything right away nick says oh my god sami says you are going to be a dad nick rafe calls gabi no answer he sees she left her phone he notices her breakfast not eaten says what the hell is going on gabi says we are busy with the project lucas says it wont take long he takes will aside and says he talked to sonny not going to promise you everything is going to be perfect but i promise i wont screw up like i did before and i told that to sonny told him i needed to accept things and i have to accept sonny and trust him its going to be hard cuz i love you very much and so does sonny eric says i cant tell you how sorry i am for the loss of your child as far as what you did afterwards no i cant hate you i never could she says because you are a priest now? He says because im your friend you suffered long enough she says but there is more you are thinking about something and you arent saying it and i want to know what it is sami tells nick gabi is fine rafe comes down and asks him when was the last time he saw gabi nick says uh rafe says dont lie to me sami says he isnt he just found out gabi is pregnant rafe says you didnt know she didnt tell you nick says no rafe says maybe you can help me find her will says did sonny say he loves me lucas says its none of my business thats between you 2 Will says you said sonny loves me where is that coming from lucas says from him you dont know how he feels will says i guess so lucas says i dont like me when i lie will says about what lucas says when i told if i walked in on you wiht a girl it would be the same thing well its not true if you were with gabi i wouldnt disapprove you were right i was wrong im apologizing Will says thanks lucas says if sonny makes you happy sonny makes you happy Will says that means a lot to me they hug will asks gabi if she is ready she says yeah will tells his dad he will talk to him later lucas gives them the money they need will says thats very generous of you gabi thanks him lucas says good luck with the project they leave Billie says i thought the worse and jumped to conclusions and im so sorry jen says i want to put this all behind us and move on jen forgives her Billie hugs her another doorbell ring its Kayla and Adrienne they come in Billie asks kayla about caroline Hope says they will be back sooner than they thought jen says there are a lot of things to be thankful for this year Nicole says this collar thing doenst affect me tell me what ever it is you are not telling me he says you havent lost your edge and im not comfortable being your advisor or confessor cuz we havent be able to talk about what this is you havent found a way to make things right with Jennifer or Daniel she says you think thats what i should do he says it might help you find a way to move on and get closure she says i loathe that word im not the best apologizer he says i know when we did a photo shoot in Venice beach and she had 4 things to apologize to him for flashback of nicole modelling on a beach she says you were so mad at me about the pics you thought i hated your work he says you never apologized she says well in retroactively sorry he says thank you she says but you know im so right about those pics it wasnt about your work it was about me and how i felt about my hair and my face and my skin ok fine he says when you look in the mirror and find all these little flaws but you forget about the things you do she says that im totally clueless and delusional and destructive i know all those things what will happen to me if i take your suggestion and do whats right he says maybe you will be able to help yourself and lose this whole world hates me she says what if it falls on deaf ears and dan and jen dont care if i apologize or not cuz they have no intentions of forgiving me he says then maybe you will get forgiveness and if you forgive yourself she says and then you are going to tell me god will forgive me too im not comfortable with all this god talk he says well maybe if you were what, maybe if you would just stop and listen and stop preaching to me im sick of this god talk and sick of god and sick of you telling me i need him hows that Billie thanks jen for having them here today jen says its lifting her spirits they all sit down the book they are talking about is the Scarlet Letter Billie picked it says she read it in high school Adrienne says how much times have changed Jen says you mean pregnancy outside of marriage ? Billie says we dont have to embroider a scarlet A on our our aprons kayla says there are still some woman dealing with that stuff Hope says what made you chose this book Billie says forbidden love of course They all laugh Eric says so you think even god has turned against you but thats not true she says how did you do it how did you become a priest he says he went to Colorado to start over tried to take pics of things that matter but not a lot of opportunity there he got a news assignment that put him in the middle of a civil war in the congo he was witness to the most unimaginable cruelty and goodness there were missionaries and the things they were doing changing minds and lives on a small scale but very powerful she says and you decided you wanted to do that too he says not right away found my way back to mass seemed familiar to me what i was taught in my childhood started to come back the way i saw the world completely changed and completely changed me Nicole says she gets it (music too loud, hard to make out what eric is saying, he talks too low and slow) sami says acting like this , going after nick isnt accomplishing anything right now maybe you could cool it rafe says you have a point but i do reserve the right to go after him when we find gabi her phone is in her bedroom she didnt eat her breakfast nick says she was feeling sick this morning morning sickness sami ask nick if he saw her leave he says no rafe goes into the kitchen see if anyone knows anything sami says you have to give him time nick says he is not high on my list of people im worried about right now sami says how do you feel about gabi being pregnant will and gabi go into the clinic he asks her if she is ok i only want you to do it if you are 100 percent sure a woman comes in and says may i help you Nicole says i have known you a long time but you seem different calmer and at peace i can tell its the exact opposite of how i feel constantly he says serenity takes work she says you were always so good so this is something else all together he says its god he is here for everyone just not everybody is there for him you have to make a conscience choice she says to be celibate they laugh she says i know you arent trying to convert me but the god talk (her earring falls to the floor) so if you could be a little bit lighter on it he says but if you were to be open to it you would be amazed what could happen with your life she says i need to go so thank you for the talk she leaves nick says im fine it doesnt matter either way i want to find gabi and find out why she didnt tell me rafe comes back says no one saw her nick says why are you so worried she isnt here rafe says oh i dont know nick maybe because she is pregnant and scared how is that rafe says he is going up to her room sami says can i stay and wait for you he says yeah nick says he wants to help he is in love with her rafe says great you find her come find me sami and rafe go upstairs gabi has to fill out forms will says are you sure she nods and starts to fill out the forms Hope visits Eric he says he didn think he would be working here , the best part besides being near family he gets to over see the construction of the new school she tells him cierra is going to come there to say hi , she is with friends Hope notices the earring on the floor he says thats nicoles she must have dropped it on the way out she says Nicole was here with you he says she dropped by we caught up she says a big mistake nephew Nicole is walking in the square looks up and the stairs and flashbacks to falling down and telling jen she killed her son and jen apologizing at the hospital and nicole saying i will never forgive you now get out Nicole puts her hands over her ears and says stop just stop she leaves the square sami and rafe in gabis room he complains he let gabi down should have been paying closer attention to her life sami says she didnt get pregnant because her big brother was neglecting her he says im the only family she has here just me she was close to ari but she isnt around anymore i didnt realize how much that affected her sami says you lost ari too rafe says think this guys loves her sami says yeah i do he was so worried about her after she fainted and gabi says she loves him too it makes a big difference At the clinic gabi thanks Will for coming with her he says im with you all the way sorry this happened to you i should have been more careful i was stupid she says no we were both there will says if you arent ready and have any doubts its ok we can take more time gabi says no i wish you were coming in with me he says me too but i will be here i wont go anywhere she hugs him and then she goes into the other room Will is waiting in the waiting room looking at a pic of sonny on his phone a nurse asks gabi are you sure you want to go ahead with the procedure i know this is difficult gabi says yeah im sure first she has to have a sonogram and determine how far along she is she leaves while gabi gets undressed rafe says she thinks im overprotective maybe thats why this happened maybe she is rebelling sami says its not that at all she knows you are there for her and sacrifice anything for her he says she is right i would i was willing to sacrifice you Hope says dont make me state the obvious here he says you think my talking to Nicole is a mistake Hope says you dont need this , do you know what she did to jennifer he says yes i ran into her by accident she was just filling me in she told me everything Hope says letting this woman back into your life for any reason would be a catastrophe,,,, i mean it you have to stay away from her Adrienne asks jen if she is going to see her and abi tomorrow jen says yes we are making pumpkin pie Adrienne leaves jen looks at a pic of her and jack then goes into the room Nicole comes in the house Eric says how could helping someone be a mistake she says its not , not if that person is able to accept help and be grateful Nicole is not only dishonest she exploits people look what she did to jen if that isnt a sociopath he says im not excusing what she has done she is in bad shape, she needs someone to talk to she is grieving the loss of her baby and thinks everyone in salem hates her im trying to show her support Hope says she needs to be watched dont think that she is suddenly reformed no she is not he says how can you be sure she says my gut instinct i have a terrible feeling about all of this especially about the conflict between Nicole and Jennifer this is far from over i just know it Nicole walks up behind Jennifer and scares her nick calls will leaves a message wondering if gabi is with him he wants her to call him its important rafe says its true i was willing to give you up to save gabi but it ended up being a moot point, i lost you anyway she says i think it proves you are willing to do anything for your sister i respect you for that how much you love her he says i do love her and i love her baby too i would do anything to help her gabi is the room dressed for the procedure the doc knocks on the door sami says she needs to get an email out she asks rafe if gabi would mind if she used her computer he says im sure she wouldnt so she goes on the computer she brings up the last page and sees the page gabi and Will were looking at sami says oh my god The doc comes into to see gabi says im here to perform the procedure rafe looks at the page and says oh no oh gabi |

I love that Sami is running around telling everyone Gabi's pregnant, bitch can lie all day and be mad at everybody else, but somebody tell her to keep a secret and you can't keep it in, hypocrite much. |

Oh and please will somebody run Hope over and put her in a coma, I'm so tired of her condemning others but overlooking the her sins and the sins of her family. I mean Nicole's done horrible things and has had horrible things done to her, but atleast she's never killed anyone (Nick) or attacked innocent men and tried to burn her husband and rival alive (Hope). |

Even though I don't enjoy all of the characters, it does seem that there has been a resurgence of friendships on this show. That's refreshing. Thanks for the recap, Skye!

Hope isn't looking over her sins. She & Nick got more prison time than most people in Salem have gotten for their various crimes. Hope's got every right to be mad at Nicole for falsely accusing Jen, and she doesn't want Eric to get hurt by Nicole. Ultimately, Hope knows she can't stop Eric from talking to Nicole, but she wants to make sure that he's cautious. The scenes don't play out as harsh as it sounds in a summary. |

No kidding. I would like to think that Jennifer is including her reunion with Jack, however brief, among the things to be thankful for. Unfortunately, this version of her is probably more thankful that she's free to pursue Daniel-Daniel-Daniel again. :rolleyes: And was that book club meeting over The Scarlet Letter lame or what? This gathering would have had so much more meaning and significance if the women were meeting to talk about Jack's book and what it and he meant to them all. Instead, there's this contrived yapfest over a book most people get stuck reading in high school English (and don't particularly want to revisit, afterwards), which seems to have been chosen mainly because the main character gets pregnant out of wedlock, setting up a clumsy parallel with Gabi's situation. How absolutely riveting! :sarcasm: Nice of Adrienne to invite the Deverauxes to her place for the holidays, but I still refuse to feel sorry for Jennifer this Thanksgiving. She was awful to Jack last year, jumping down his throat and hurling unfounded accusations at him on the basis of a snippet of phone conversation she overheard. Being thankful for his survival and homecoming sure didn't seem to enter into the equation! Then a few days later, she was whining to Hope about how she hated not spending Thanksgiving with Daniel instead of her family. Her nastiness then was exceeded only by her callous attempt to exclude Jack from the Horton tree trimming a week or two later. Just think, Bitchifer--the holidays that you so begrudged sharing with your husband of 20 years turned out to be the last ones you ever got to spend with him. May that haunt you for the rest of your miserable existence. :flipoff: Sami needs to be muzzled. Or maybe she should just quit her job and apply for the position of town crier. I'm glad that Nicole now has a friend who doesn't judge her. Although I wish she hadn't been thrown into another man's orbit this quickly. The rest of this . . . zzzz. Thanks for posting. |

Unless Jennifer knows something we don't, this woman is needs a brain transplant. I think TPTB gave Jen, Hope's lines by mistake,or better yet the lines of Maggie's Horton/Kiriakas' dialogue, but unfortunately, she wasn't invited. Billie's choice of the Scarlet Letter for their 1st book club meeting. Very interesting. Billie is asked 2x why she chose the book and she says 'forbidden love'. I mean how much can one book session foreshadow or not foreshadow. I thought the Scarlet Letter was a book about ADULTERY and public humiliation. Hester's huband left for 2 years and she cheats on him. Not sure if Jennifer need to wear a shirt with an 'A' on it, for a while or not? Sin & guilt, no thanks here. Yes Nick may have served more time then most people in Salem, but Hope most certainly didn't. And yes she does have a right to be mad at her but Hope's been in the position where she has loss her child, Nicole has loss both of her children in one of which was full term. I would expect Hope to be more sympathetic and understand the irrational things Nicole did, because she did irrational things when her son died and when she and Bo where getting a divorce she went out start attacking people. And how is it right for someone convicted of attempted murder to be detective again? |

"Forbidden love", my ass! That's dim even for Billie. The Scarlet Letter is not a romance, by any stretch of the imagination. It's about sin and redemption. Hester who can't escape the consequence of her moral lapse, faces up to her sin in her judgmental Puritan community, while her cowardly lover Dimmesdale can't admit his own guilt/complicity, and her vindictive husband plots to destroy the man who cuckolded him. (Personally, I always wondered what Hester saw in Dimmesdale--he's a weak reed if ever there was one.) The parallels in this case seem to be more with Gabi's situation than Jennifer's, but for me, rereading The Scarlet Letter might almost be preferable to watching any story revolving around this limp dishrag of a character. Loved that Will was so surprised to hear Lucas say that Sonny loves him, Will seems to insecure in his relationship with Sonny but I loved how he was surprised. Also loved that he looks at Sonny pic on his phone while waiting for Gabi. I want him to go to see after all this and just hug him and tell him how he feels about him, I so want him to tell him the truth.

Maybe the writers want the audience to know that they can analyze The Scarlet Letter, so that we'll think they've got brains. However, my reading of The Scarlet Letter is more in line with how you guys have interpreted it than with Billie's assessment that's it's about "forbidden love." And I agree that Dimmesdale is a "weak reed if ever there was one." But anyway, is the picture of Jack and Jennifer a new one, or is it old school? Just curious. I do think friends gathering is a nice touch, but the content is still lacking. I think discussion of a relevant book is also a nice touch, but it sounds like it comes out pretty lame. Maybe Eric and Nicole have promise, if it isn't rushed as all romances are rushed on this show these days. I think the "priest" angle is a good way to create angst without needing a third party, other than God at least. I found episodes of Soap on Netflix, and I really liked it, but the romance with the priest and the somewhat slutty girl was my favorite part. I actually didn't watch any more episodes after they broke up. Anyone know if they get back together? If so, I'll resume. |

I do agree. He kept Sami's secret about Sami and EJ's baby so I would expect he would do the same for Nicole. In saying that I cannot stand Rafe so if any of his actions can put a wedge in his relationship and preferably distance between he and Sami and bring Ejami closer to happenning, well I am one happy person. |
